This restaurant has never disappointed me until today! It is Father's day and it turned out to be a cruddy lunch. The clam chowder soup had no flavor, was super bland and watery, and neither did the rice, crab, and cole slaw salad! There's a problem with the seasoning and they need to stick to the original recipes or packaged food products. I asked the waitress why the food tasted so bland and asked if there are new chefs and she admitted the kitchen team is all new. It is NOT the same anymore. Do it! It's super yummy. 2) There are two types of bread. And both are amazingly delicious. Ask for both of them. 3) Kids drinks are less expensive than adult drinks. But they are the same size. This is the 2nd Thanksgiving I've eaten at Sizzler. Last year inside... this year during Covid in their very cute little cul-de-sac with tents & tables. It's been a little over a year since We've dined here, just circumstances did not allow for us to patronize them (like we used to) during our lunch hour. I've since moved and it's in the same shopping center as my pharmacy now ! The service at the front (placing your order) to the table service; our server, Leo is absolutely great ! Some of my favorites the cheese toast, all you can eat shrimp and the cheese toast. Did I say that twice? There used to be a lot more locations but they slowly died out. So any time I see a Sizzler I try to stop in for some wallet friendly food. The steak isn't all that great but I come here for the memories and the cheese toast. I came here for Veterans Day, because I heard they had something for Veterans. That wasn't the best idea. The food was ok, but the customer service was pretty lousy. The place had plenty of customers seated, but every open table was dirty so there was nowhere for new customers to sit. I think there was about only 2 people going around cleaning off tables when they were actually cleaning, and maybe 2 people bringing out food. Of the two people bringing out food, one didn't bother saying anything or even giving the right food to the person, they just put it in front of someone and left. I chose the steak option with a baked potato. I've never seen a steak come out shaped like the one I got, and it didn't seem to be cut the right direction either. It was at least cooked the way I wanted though. It came with a slice of cheese toast or whatever was on it. I had the salad bar added and at least the soup and salad I had tasted alright. Coming back is something I'd have to think hard about, and if I did it'd probably be for the all you can eat salad bar. read more

Horrible. The cashier was rude and did not honor what the menu said in regards to a salad and a side. She said rudely the salad was the side even the menu stated differently. The food was ok. Ok, I haven't been to a Sizzler in years! It was my favorite restaurant when I was a child. This location is awesome, super clean, great food, and awesome service! I got my favorite salad bar and of course their yummy cheese bread. I felt like a kid with all the random food on my plate. Leo was my waiter and his service was wonderful! I had never been at a Sizzler before, but I had seen Anthony Bourdain eat there during an LA episode and thought that I wanted to try this place if I ever found myself in a situation where there's nothing non-chain-y around. So we just stopped for a night in Oceanside on a roadtrip and found ourselves in a Motel 6 right across the street from this Sizzler. I knew it was now or never. The place was almost empty, since it was an hour before closing, but we were greeted very nicely and picked out our order. I was not aware how MASSIVE this salad bar is, otherwise I would have skipped the steak. It turned out that the steak was not a highlight anyway. I wanted it medium and got it well done, my side of riblets was burned... but I didn't want to send it back, because there was so little time left. So I dug into the salad bar offerings and was more than rewarded. Wow! I liked that they had non-mayonais-y (yes I know, I do that "thing-y" a lot today) salads like edamame and chickpea etc. Also the leaf lettuces were nice and crisp as if they had just been put there - half hour before closing... I didn't even start on the spaghetti, tacos and other hot foods, but they looked good! Service was very nice and attentive, although they started cleaning up around our table while we were still eating. All in all, great salad bar, not so great meat. When I see a Sizzler next time and have no other places to go, I will surely get the salad bar experience again (my tipp: don't fill up on the bread basket!!!). read more
