First time at a sizzle (always thought it was like a dennys but it's so much more!) and went cause it was next to our hotel. I was amazed at the offerings! (Lobster??!!) all I got was the salad bar but when I say that - WHAT a salad bar it was!!! Everything was fresh! Can't have a turkey dinner delivered for Thanksgiving. Do NOT feel well today. I attempted to order a turkey dinner on Door Dash but, it is NOT available. I called and asked the Mt Vernon location. The agent, who answered the phone and, supervisor, Stephsnie, were unable to accommodate my request. I could order a $20 item and, they could replace it with the turkey ginned which, is only offered on Thanksgiving but, they are unwilling to think outside the box. read more

Came here for the salad bar. Beside the cleanliness and friendly staff, the food was a bit of a letdown. We were charged almost $60 for 2 adults and 1 child with 2 soft drinks. The choices were very limited with a basic salad bar, 3 choices of soup, very bland spaghetti and meatballs, ground beef tacos, and mini corn dogs - no other choices of taco meat and no fried chicken. The dessert and fruit were adequate. We would have gone to other AYCE restaurants for these prices. We'll probably come back for the menu items but definitely not the salad bar. read more

I was shocked to walk into this place. Everything was so clean. The servers were excellent. I always get Mirna and she's very good. This is definitely not the sizzler I remember. And that's a good thing. This location just got remodeled and it looks really nice. The food is excellent. The salad bar as always neatly kept. I'm in town once a week for work, and I am here a couple of times a month. If you haven't given in Sizzler a try lately, this is the location to try again. read more

We felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere (sorry native Bakersfieldiens), and STARVING. We stopped into this local Sizzler for a bite to eat (forgetting it was MOTHER'S DAY). Even at 2:30 p.m. (a seemingly too late for lunch, too early for dinner time), this place was PACKED! The staff here kept things moving though! We only waited in line for about 20 minutes before we were seated. Our waitress took our lunch/dinner orders and brought out that parmesan bread as soon as she could (so we could all munch on it while waiting for our food). Our food came out with very little "issues" (my kid didn't get the side she wanted and my wife's salad came with the wrong dressing). Nothing we felt like complaining about, seeing as the place was (again) super duper busy. The place was very clean, too. Perfect Valentine's Day Dinner! Found ourselves in Bakersfield and were fortunate to find this Sizzler. Had called the local Black Angus and they were so rude on the phone, decided to try here instead. Great choice! We shared the surf and turf, lobster and steak combo with loaded baked potato and side salad and it was really delicious! I came with my mom for dinner. The front cashier was so helpful in answering my questions with the menu and what were the differences in certain entrees. She carried our tray of drinks and plates and guided us to our table. I told her, oh Wow they don't walk us at the Van Nuys, CA. Location. Came here for the 1st time here in Bakersfield. I recently saw a promotion on facebook 2 steak dinner for $22.00 bucks. I wanted to come out and try. I totally regret spending my money ...my potatoe was cold the steak was cooked but very dry. I wad hungry so i had to eat it since i had a light lunch. The salad bar was boring. Nothing on their caught my eye. The fruit looked dry I will never be back and i dont understand how this place is packed. I found a hair in my salad i even told my waitress and all she did was apologize. This place has poor customer service and the food has no flavor.But like they say you get what you pay for. read more
