Talk about nostalgia. There is a sizzler in my hometown in Texas all while I was growing up. They closed down a super long time ago. So when we came upon it in Bakersfield on our way to San Francisco, we had to give it a shot. We ordered just the lunch buffet salad bar style. What a great value for the money. They're hot items were amazing. They had taco meat with all the fixings. Orange chicken, buffalo wings, meatballs, hot soups, pasta salads, all the best salad, fixings, fresh fruits, and a variety of desserts to choose from. They even bring you fresh buttered garlicky toast. This place could be dangerous if I lived close. The food was great also. I love how fresh the salad bar was. The staff took very good care of our table. There is a lot of space in different seating areas available. You can have a booth next or a regular table. They have the ability to seat multiple large groups. All in all I was super impressed. Thank you for being everything that I remembered growing up. The entry hospitality was nice and helpful, the food was bland not too much flavor got the steak and chicken it was average, wife got the steak and unlimited shrimp same opinion not too flashy but decent, my son got kids cheeseburger and was more fascinated with the salad bar lol due to being able to serve himself. I came here because I was really looking forward to the salad bar but did not have the best experience. I tried the soups in the salad bar and they had a funky smell and you can tell they were old. I think this store needs to do better about keeping their soups fresh. read more

Jenny M. is hands down one of the best servers I've ever had. The respect she showed taking care of my wife and kids first before me meant everything. That's real professionalism. She moved like a pro drinks never dropped below 3/4 without her already refilling them, no need to ask. She knew the menu inside and out and broke everything down with confidence. First of all, the food was good. My only issue was the service I recieved. We were a big group of people and our first time coming to eat here. We had asked for an unlimited salad bar and we had an elderly man with us. These dumb bimbos did NOT let us help our grandpa to the bar. They were being SO bitchy about it saying "the person who has a bar has to go get it." God forbid he needs assistance?? Even though we explained the situation they did not care about their customers. I think the experience of the food depends what you get, but 25 bucks for a salmon that is a size of a teens hand is not worth it. Vernon Avenue restaurant is perfect and my husband and I always enjoy great food, friendly smiles, being greeted by staff and excellent service. I went to your establishment yesterday and I hadn't been to a sizzler since 2011 which this reminds me why I don't come and eat sizzling the food was awful. My husband and I ordered the shrimp steak baked potato. I ordered the grilled shrimp. He ordered the fried shrimp. Well cut long story short food came to the table. The waiter said she'll be back never came back with his steak, they brought him half of his order actually they bought him everything but the main course yeah don't eat there. read more

My husband and I stopped by for dinner. We were lucky that Sizzlers was open on Christmas Day! Hostess at the front wasn't very pleasant nor did she great us. I thought I'd post my thoughts. We hadn't been to sizzler in so so long. Some friends invited us so the four of us went this Sunday for the salad bar. It's around 20 dollars for an unlimeted salad bar. I was so surprised. I really enjoyed it. The salad bar is big and there are so many choices. There is soups, tacos, chichen dessert and of course green salad and multiple other salad choices. There are clean and pick up your plates at your table. They serve you bread to your table with is tasty. The server are good and I like the variety.
