I purchased a home in Centereach, New York a year ago, and even though it has nearly an acre of land, I could not use three quarters of it as it was a veritable jungle. Trees and other plant growth all over the property, and perhaps ten years worth of leaves in the backyard that had never been cleared. The trees are oak, very hard wood, and were in most cases nearly fifty feet in height. To make the entire property usable, I knew I needed an expert firm that could work with such a mess and turn my jungle into a home with a lovely front and back yard. Thus, I interviewed half a dozen firms before being so impressed with Six Tree Services' resume of work that I selected them for my tree project.
Six Tree began their work this week, and by the end of Thursday had brought down the twenty five trees I needed removed, and had pruned the remaining twenty. They cut all of the logs into pieces that will fit in my fireplace, and saved enough branches from the downed trees that I will have kindling wood for the rest of my life, as I requested. They brought in an expert excavation firm to remove the stumps of the trees, again as I requested, and also to remove the heavy blanket of leaves that had stuck together over the years to form a spongy layer above the dirt that was very difficult to rake or move with even the strongest leaf blower. For stumps near utility wires or pipes, they ground the stumps and cleaned up the chips and sawdust so I can grow grass where those trees had been. They worked fast, smart, energetically, with great attitudes. And the price for their services was among the best I had been offered.
I have had a lot of projects done on houses I've owned over the years, but I think this one has given me the most enjoyment. I had a great team of five professionals who produced exactly what I was hoping to see as a result of their work. Six Trees' friendly owner, who worked every day on my project and climbed trees with just ropes and strength (like Spiderman), listened to all my concerns diligently and ensured the project provided the best solutions for them. His employees were equally friendly and respectful, and consummate experts at their trade. The star tree climber and saw man, who has won awards in prior years at competitions that measured the speed, accuracy, and safety of each competitor in this dangerous line of work, was absolutely amazing to watch, swinging from tree to tree like a trapeze artist and bringing down trees and branches from top to bottom. The three other fellows who worked on my project possessed equally fine abilities and knowledge, always being in the right place to support their colleagues working up in the trees, and cutting the wood into usable logs with expert precision.
