Bring your own tools like we did with our electric chainsaw or they have hand saws for you to use as well! $15 a ft. and don't be that jerk that tries to cut just the top portion of the tree because you'll be paying for the WHOLE thing. Matt's helpers will tractor haul your tree for you, net it up for you and put it in your car or strap securely to your car roof too! The best is HE ACCEPTS CREDIT CARD!!! Lots of activities and it doesn't cost anything to enter, but each activity does cost a few coin. Face painting was $10, I believe the "gold digging" demo was $6 (and there is a sign that suggests you do the other activities before getting your face painted as the paint might not last, which I appreciated). Food was available for purchase and I got a roasted corn that I was forced to split with the kid. The corn wasn't that sweet but still sufficed. I didn't get to look at the plants or any of the nursery items but I will def head back there when in the area when it's time to start planting.

If you were able to get the bulbs you could take those home too, which is a nice perk since they are perennials and will come back year after year. Plenty of parking. Tickets are cash or card. They have some goodies to also purchase on your way out. Petting farm for the kiddos (I mean I squealed when I saw the cute pigs too). Live music. Food trucks. The main nursery is open, as well. Drag it to your car and zoom away. How about taking a saw out in the field, choosing your tree and sawing it down?* That's exactly what I did at Carter Christmas Tree Farm. My wife then grabbed an end and we brought it to the front to get wrapped for travel. Don't worry, they have the saws available for you. Once you bring your tree home, you'll need a stand. I had an old stand, 4 screws that tighten around the tree. The tree I purchased from Carter Christmas Tree Farm had a thicker trunk. I had to run to Ace Hardware and purchase a new stand. Carter Christmas Tree Farm sells wreathes for your front door as well as other items needed to decorate your house for Christmas.
