I had the most amazing experience at this store. I've never been treated better in my life!! I came with a bunch of women all whom had real fur coats and I really wanted to get one. Sarkes helped me try on probably 30 coats. He put them on me and hung them back up for me. I told him that I had a budget and I was worried I couldn't afford most of the things. He told me not to worry and we would find something. I ended up liking 2 but couldn't afford both. While I was deciding which one I wanted he brought the price down for me so I was able to get both!!! I'm in love with both of my jackets and I am still over the moon with happiness that he was so sweet and helpful. I'm gonna feel like a million bucks every time I wear my new jackets. If I ever come back to Jackson Hole I will for sure stop in again. Or if I ever want another coat and not able to physically come in, I will call the store and go through him for my next purchase. read more

I've complained directly to the owner, who did apologize but also made excuses and cast doubt on my story. Long story short I walked in wearing a US Army veteran hat. The man at the counter said something along the lines of "that must be your father's hat, there's no way it's yours" and I said you're absolutely wrong about that. He laughed it off awkwardly and a woman who was walking around told me I should reach out to the owner as it seemed sexist and belittling. I am near 30, greying and walk with a cane. Why the heck would he think the army veteran hat was my father's? We know why. It was a bad joke that made me feel bad and they should know better. read more

Wow. What a rude set of sales people. We were shopping for a sheepskin coat for a week long trip into the mountains, and were given a total attitude. They didn't answer any of our questions properly, and when I asked about how they sourced some of their furs (our family only supports legal hunting and fur trapping) they were dismissive of our interest in purchasing a jacket for our October trips to photograph some animals out in northern Wyoming. Definitely avoid this place. If an owner sees this please hire a more polite sales person. read more

While window shopping in Jax Hole, went in to check the place out. Tons of inventory, but I don't know anything about furs. Fiancé did have a leather/fur coat that had a bad seam. The staff was kind enough to mend the coat at no charge. Very nice people. read more

This store is truly impressive. Our family loves shopping here because the selection is unlike any store in the world... other than their Park City location of course. The sheer variety of furs, hats, and unique pieces boggles the mind as you wander through the store. NO PICTURES! If you want a picture, buy it! The staff are extremely welcoming and entertaining to work with. Their passion shows especially when they describe the details of each item. I loved learning about the different animals; sea otters, mink, wolves, raccoon, wolverine. What a wonderful spot! Will be back soon. read more

We have been to 3 of the four locations (Ketchikan, AK, Park City, UT, and here). Every time we are welcomed by a knowledgeable staff and the manager Sarkes here is no exception. He offered us great deals on sea otter and sable but today we are just taking home a really nice reindeer throw. We will be back for sure! read more

The owner was very nice, attentive, and darn near sold us a Canadian Lynx fur coat (you know, if it hadn't cost the same as an average down-payment for a middle-class house, we'd have been sold!). This boutique is fantastic. The variety and quality is incredible and the service was attentive and knowledgable. I went into Alaska Fur with my friend and Andy educated us on what we should look for in a new or used fur. He also let us know that they also will taylor fur brought in from customers. My friend and I both got rabbit slippers for an incredibly low price. They are so luxurious and warm. I am thrilled with my memento from my trip to Jackson Hole. I took several fur coats and fur pelts, Black Glama quality, to be stored in the Alaskan Fur Gallery in Jackson Wyoming. Some of the fur pelts came up missing, I called and complained to the management there and in Park City. No one was interested in helping me find them, I never recovered my fur pelts, nor did I receive much help from even the management. I will never take anything to them to store again, and I would suggest if anyone else does they take pictures of their furs and take along with them witnesses. Also make sure to get everything documented. I have stored furs at different places over twenty years and I never had any trouble at any other business. I was very disappointed in the way this was handled. read more

Buyer beware. The store had great merchandise and the service was also great, but beware of the pricing. Items were marked well over retail suggested prices......more than twice . So be sure to bargain......starting at least half the price. Maybe even less. Also be aware that the store does not allow refunds, only store credit and may charge a restocking fee....none of which the salesman told me. This is a very important piece of information to know when you're spending thousands of dollars on a fur coat. I would probably never buy a piece of merchandise from here again just because of that fact. read more

Fantastic sheared beaver made to order for sm wife. Outstanding classic coat with hood to flip up in bad weather, long in length to cover backside (2 to 3 inches above knee) Beautiful pelts and outstanding quality, very moderate pricing for the quality. We've been to Park City shop as well. If your looking to purchase quality fur coat/jacket foolish NOT to check them out. Son also bought a beautiful leather jacket. Poor costumer service and rude staff. Upon first interaction the sales man I spoke with seemed kind. I handed my full length beaver coat to them for a "1 week cleaning/appraisal" but upon questioning their organizational skills and why it was not communicated that my fur coat would take an extra 4-5 weeks to clean, the retail sales man resorted to calling me and "a hole" and encouraged me that I "should never move away from my Jackson and I should never branch out". These kind of personal insults were quite unexpected coming from a profession as to which costumer service should be of the highest importance. read more
