The lady who provided my daughter's first hair cut left us with an uneven cut. I had whatever package for first haircut booked. I didn't want the certificate of a first haircut, and I didn't want to take a chunk of my kids hair home. When checking out the stylist made this known to the owner who was checking us out, and when my kid asked for a lollipop she was told that we didn't buy that package to include the treat and we couldn't get it. I walked into Vertigo earlier today because my daughter's bangs had just been butchered by the person who has done a great job on my hair for years. My daughter specifically asked for "V bangs" and my person said they could do it after seeing a photo of the look I sent them days ago. The end result was awful and my daughter was devastated. She starts school on Monday and was sick at the thought of the first day. I paid for the cut plus a small tip to save face and left. Vertigo was the second salon I walked into and Ivan immediately greeted me even though he was washing a client's hair. I told him what had just happened and all but begged for his help. He asked if my daughter was with me so I grabbed her from the car and Ivan seemed genuinely shocked at the poor quality. He asked if we could come back at 4pm so we did. I now see that he closes at 3pm on Saturdays so this was an absolute courtesy. He fixed them as best he could and made my daughter feel 10x better about starting school. Ivan gave her his card and told her to come back in 3 weeks and he'd fix them again. When I tried to pay he refused payment and said he just wanted to help. WOW! Ivan is an absolute angel and now has 2 new loyal clients. I will recommend him to anyone just based off of this initial interaction and am already looking forward to my first visit with him.
