    Pictured is one happy customer!!

When I had to leave town and leave my puppy at home I was apprehensive to leave her with anyone let alone a stranger. Let me just you that this Pet Sitter alleviated any of my concerns with her prompts visits and excellent communication. She has straightforward rates that are affordable and the service is top notch!! I would reference her to anyone thinking about using a pet sitter in the South Phoenix area!!

This is a text during a visit of one of my dogs sent with the caption"Bonkers made herself at home on my lap"!

The short one: Use this company. I love them, couldn't be happier. Details: I used to have only family members watch my pets, but when I recently moved to Phoenix I was told "don't think we are coming there to watch your pets". lol So first I tried a national company's boarding services a couple of times, then a local boarding company, but my pets hated them all. I have two dogs and a cat. The cat thinks that he is a dog. Or maybe the dogs think they are cats. But either way, they are a pack. In the boarding situations the cat could not be in with the rest of his pack, and I think he would cry the entire time he was in "lockup". Since I go out of town at least monthly, I needed a solution. I found a solution and her name is Vanessa! Vanessa was great. I was paranoid and needy, sick with worry about my animals, but she talked me through the process, spent time with me to talk through the options and suggested what was appropriate. I told her that if my pets needed extra visits or someone sleeping over to freely add those services. She was honest and only suggested what I needed and did not use my worry for my pets to "up-sell" me. How refreshing! So off we went on our trip--I was nervous, but Vanessa sent texts and pictures of my pets after each visit and I am not sure that they even missed us. She hunted down our shy-with-strangers cat to confirm that he was doing fine and reported her cat-sightings. When we came home, they were happy to see us, but they were relaxed and normal. When we would pick them up from boarding they were manic-happy to see us, like someone getting out of prison after doing hard time. I could not be happier with the difference in their response. I would also like to address the "bad review". Really bad-reviewer? I had three visits a day, morning, midday and evening. Vanessa sent a schedule to me. It was 7a, 3p, and 7p, I think. Did I get texts at exactly 7, 3, and 7? No. Did it matter? No. In fact, I think that would have bothered me. I wanted someone who handled what my pets needed, not a rigid schedule follower. From the texts that I received, Vanessa was responsive to my pets needs. That means she is responsive to her other clients' pets' needs, so maybe she comes at 7:07, I am grateful for that personal attention, and as far as I know, my pets can't tell time anyway. Thank you Vanessa!!

Example of a note they leave us after they visit.

Vanessa and Heather went way above and beyond taking care of our cats the past two summers. I highly recommend.

The cats seemed to have been looked after pretty well and Susan took out the cat litter every day she visited.

(Food is great quality, the prices will reflect that.) Love the grooming station, so awesome when you have a very dirty pup & would like to bath them in a controlled environment. No appt necessary & they have shampoo & conditioner on deck. They also have a staff member who cuts pup's nails, just call ahead to see if she's working (there is a cost, $10 or $15 if I remember correctly). Recently went in for some dog food & the staff member working was so great with my little one! He asked if she wanted to help him carry the dog food & she was THRILLED. Everything about this place & the staff is great, keep up the good work PP!

I was excited to find a self-serve dog wash in our neighborhood, fairly close by and at a…read morereasonable price. First couple of visits went fine. Everyone was super friendly, but I noticed that a couple things that were really lacking: adequate towels and a clock inside the washing room. I've mentioned both before during check out. When you're selling dog washes, apparently lots of people want them. This was probably my 5th wash and every time someone gets in line behind me. For someone like me with ADHD no way to measure time passing in a shared space and with soapy hands making me keep my phone in my pocket? No clock is a distinct disadvantage (feel free to interpret that as ABLEIST because you're introducing hurdles that only impact ND folx). Hearing there's someone in line behind you and you've got 15 minutes -- is stressful especially when there's no clock and the towels are barely thicker than a paper towel. It makes the task is exponentially harder to finish quickly. I had to walk to the front when I realized that while she time checked me, the lady working but didn't bother asking if I needed anything and that no more towels were coming. Bit strange having to beg for more towels when she literally commented "gosh, is that a fluffy dog!" as we signed in. Yeah my dog has a double coat which you have acknowledged seeing so I don't know why you're trying to cheap out on the towels? It was actually a safety hazard. There was water everywhere because I could not get enough of his water out of his coat in order to walk him safely from the washing room to the front counter even after the second batch of towels. I mentioned it was unsafe and I wish I'd have gotten more towels when I asked for them, and also that it was difficult to keep moving within their timeframe/to be respectful to the other guest when there's no clock available. The lady working could not have cared any less. She didn't acknowledge my concern just dismissed. "Oh if there wasn't someone waiting behind you, I wouldn't have hurried you." Well no kidding and I wouldn't need a clock if I wasn't trying to be courteous. I could have taken my own time and been in there long enough to get my dog adequately dry. Instead I had my dog dripping water and soaking into my car seats when I left the dog wash. If that's a dog wash is a service that you're prepared to offer, please do it so that people can have a successful experience. Today blew really hard but actually it's the same challenges I've faced before when using their service and today decided I'm not their ideal customer with my expectations. Pet Planet should think about some ways to ensure people want to come back or at least feel they gotten enough of what they paid for to move on with their day. If I knew I'd only get the wash half done I wouldn't have started. A wet husky/malamute is a recipe for a stinky dog and or skin problems from being wet too long. I'm hoping we don't end up with an unexpected vet visit after this.
