My wife and I are very happy with our purchase. We strongly believe, David Stengel's business expertise and personality had to do with our positive customer experience at Sit and Sleep in the Oxnard Outlet shopping center. He asked us what our needs were, and not just budget; he took his time to listen to us. He did not take over the conversation. I will always remember what David shared with my wife and I because he really knows his business. We also purchased the packet to care for our product. Buying an excellent bed is also an investment we wanted to protect. This store sells big brand items, that have been in business since 1800's, for a reason, because they stand firm behind their research and products. You can get the deal you want at this store! The Sit and Sleep company is interested in assisting you with your needs on any budget. David is a very kind, considerate individual. We believe in working with people like him. Even before I entered the store, I phoned the Sit and Sleep phone number twice ;and every representative who answered, was knowledgeable, hospitable and treated me like I was a respected person. They also connected me to the Oxnard Outlet store, and did not give me the phone "run around". Chris answered the phone and took his time to answer all of my questions, even while on the phone. Our bed was delivered for free the next day. This business follows through with what they verbally state and how they report on paper. read more

Our whole shopping experience was exceptional. We visited the store during their Labor Day Sale and Robert Flores was our sales rep. Honestly we were so impressed with their mattress selection technology because you lay on a mattress that measures your bodies and helps you select the correct product for your needs. Mattress shopping is pretty difficult but having that "cutting edge" mattress thingy was the bomb. Another thing we greatly appreciated was that Robert was very helpful and knowledgable about the mattresses but at the same time he wasn't pushy and didn't hover over us. It made us feel comfortable taking our time, yet he was available when we needed him. He took wonderful care of us when we finally sat down and signed our paperwork. In a world where customer service isn't prevalent Robert is a true prize. Finally when the day came for us to receive our mattress delivery I was DELIGHTED!! Felipe and Byron were perfect. They were friendly and funny and very professional. They handled the installation easily and took the time to show me how our new adjustable frame worked. They also cleaned up very well after they completed the delivery. Overall we are so satisfied with our purchase from beginning to end! read more

I truly believe that a good nights sleep can make or break your entire day. That being said, I have always wanted to invest in a GREAT mattress, however, I've always been deterred by the cost associated with such a good mattress. I went into sit and sleep today just to take a look. The sales rep Ken came up to us and immediately made us feel like we had someone that really understood what we wanted. He explained the difference between all the different types of mattress', let us take our time feeling and lying down on each one, and was so knowledgable in his field. We finally found one we LOVED, but it was a little out of our price range. Ken said "no problem" and immediately went to work on getting us a great deal. Not only did we get our dream mattress, but we got it for LESS than our budget! I couldn't be happier with the service, the product, and the over all experience. I would happily recommend this store to anyone looking to improve their nights sleep. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sit 'n Sleep and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service provided by the staff, particularly Justin. From the moment we walked in, he was extremely flexible in allowing us to try out multiple mattresses to find the perfect one for us. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the technical aspects of each mattress, which helped us make a well-informed decision. The store had a great selection of mattresses to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. The overall atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. We were given the time and space to make our decision without any pressure, which we really appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience at Sit 'n Sleep and I would highly recommend them, especially Justin, to anyone in the market for a new mattress. His customer service skills and technical knowledge were top-notch and truly made our shopping experience a positive one. read more

My wife and I visited the store and really didn't know what to expect? Alex was our sales person and expert on mattresses. We had no idea how much engineering goes into mattress technology. The store is in a good location, very clean and comfortable to be in. We had not bought a mattress in about ten years. I really had not thought about how many decisions there are in choosing style, manufacture, and price. After about spending five minutes with Alex I knew we were in good hands. He has a great personality and took his time with us on helping with narrowing our decision's. Very informative and really patient while explaining terminology and process of manufacturing. After making our decision, the financial portion of the transaction was just as pleasant. We would highly recommend Alex and Sit' N Sleep to anyone intrested in purchasing a new mattress and other accessories for your home. WB read more

My wife and I recently went to Sit N Sleep because I was hating our current mattress and never getting a good night's sleep. A friend referred us there and said to be sure to see David Stengel and they were correct in telling us that he was a great salesperson. Not pushy at all - just very informative and asked what we were looking for and showed us what would work best for us within our budget. It was more important to us to have a great mattress that would work for a long time so we were willing to spend a little more if we needed to. We ended up purchasing a king Tempur-pedic with an adjustable base and we LOVE it! I haven't had a backache since and sleep like a baby and so does my wife!. David was so helpful and informative and made the process so easy. The delivery was just as expected and right on time. I would recommend this store and David to anyone I know! read more

Nowadays, it is difficult to shop at a store you really trust. However, my recent visit to Sit 'n Sleep demonstrates how much they pride themselves on customer service. This pride is portrayed by employees like Robert Flores, who proudly represents Sit 'n Sleep and the branch he serves in Oxnard, CA. My wife and I recently went to purchase a new mattress set at the Sit 'n Sleep store in Oxnard. Robert waved us right over, and carefully analyzed our preferences. He used his knowledge to find us the perfect piece of comfort and the best product to serve our needs. Robert created such a positive experience for us. He truly exceeded our expectations! Hiring employees like Robert further embodies the Sit 'n Sleep "pledge" to customers like myself, who ultimately share these experiences with the many others who contribute to the overall success of the organization. read more

We were lucky enough to have David Stengel help us select a mattress set. My husband Steve and I have been in need and dreading the thought of trying to figure out what to get for a good nights sleep. David put us in a crazy machine and it gave us our color, how cool is that. We spent about 2 hours there and David was quite the trooper. We tried different mattresses and then the adjustable base came into play. David was more than patient, super nice and a knowledgeable salesman . What we were dreading turned out to be a great experience. We purchased a Temper-Pedic and an adjustable base. The remote control is really nice and very easy to use. The zero gravity is amazing and last night was probably the best nights sleep I have had. Thank you so much David for everything and we will sure send people your way. read more

Sit 'n Sleep was the absolute best place we shopped for a mattress. When we first arrived, we didn't know a lot about what we were looking for. Marty was an amazing resource gave us a full education and showed us a lot of great options. We didn't buy then because we wanted to keep shopping around. Months later, after shopping at nearly every store that sells mattresses from Goleta to Ventura, we wanted to go back to Sit 'n Sleep. At our second visit, Chris showed us a few new options, and we got our favorite mattress for a price that we couldn't get anywhere else. We also got a protector, two pillows and sheets! The entire experience at Sit 'n Sleep was amazing, and I would highly recommend doing your mattress shopping here. The service, selection, and pricing is simply unbeatable. read more

Called store and spoke with david who helped briefly explain things to consider as we were changing to memory foam and adjustable bed.I have acid reflux so i want to increase the head height. When we went in to try them out, david was not in so robert helped us out. He was just as informative as david. I appreciated him taking a long time to explain options since we were on a budget and had limited knowledge of physical differences between quality, feel, and price. We couldnt buy that same day due to lack of time but have since purchased on our next visit (today). So far, so good. Will try to update review after experiencing new bed delivery and couple of nights on new bed. Hoping new bed will give better sleep and night reflux goes away. Thanks robert and david. read more

I'm a pretty no-nonsense type of guy when it comes to shopping around for the essentials of everyday life. While many of my friends and family enjoy doing massive amounts of research into every aspect of the pros and cons of something as simple as King-sized sheets, I prefer to keep the acquisition process simple, quick, and reasonably priced. What a delight, then, to stumble into Sit 'n Sleep and get in and out the door with a heavily discounted set of king-sized sheets in less than 10 minutes. The sales gal was quite helpful and relaxed about me only being in the market for sheets, as opposed to an entire bed. I'll certainly consider Sit 'n Sleep when it comes time to acquire a new mattress set. read more

We had a great experience buying our new mattress there. We did our research up front for the best price, quality and right size to fit the existing box spring. We were replacing a 20 yr old waterbed top to hopefully be a bit better for our backs. The Oxnard store had sold us a smaller mattress for a different bed - a futon - which we needed to add height during hip surgery recovery. David Stengel was still working there. He let us check out many different mattresses. We were still in the computer system - the mattress arrived in 3 days. The delivery guys took away the old mattress (that we drained in advance) in about 5 minutes. That was 3.5 weeks ago and we are very happy with the mattress. read more

It is time to replace my bed since I figure I've had it almost 20 years. I just loved it so much, that I hadn't thought of getting a new one until it was no longer comfortable to lay in bed on Saturday and Sunday mornings! I knew exactly what I wanted: another Sealy Posturepedic. I went to Sit 'n Sleep, and David Stengler helped me. He showed me right to the mattress I was looking for, and it happened to be 50% off. He showed me how it had been improved with individually wrapped coils since I bought the last one, and urged me to try it out. It was great! I can't wait to get my new bed in my new place, and get a great night's sleep again. read more

Went into the store today not even expecting to purchase a mattress. Robert Flores went above and beyond with help and sharing his knowledge. Even more importantly Robert did not apply pressure such as other competitor shops. He gave us space to talk and search the web; eventually I ended up with a mattress and feel completely satisfied and happy with doing so. If anyone is shopping for a mattress please visit Robert Flores and see first handed to what I am speaking of; he is a prime example of a salesman and store manager. Thank you Robert for the help and for the mattress as well!! read more

Buying a mattress has always been traumatic for my husband and I, but not from this place! Marty helped us and was an absolute delight to work with. Hysterical personality with an amazing history working with the company, he provided spot on service that took into consideration our specific needs. It wasn't "shuck and jive" where he was trying to get us into the most expensive model... he truly cared about what would be best FOR US and we couldn't be happier. A clean and beautiful showroom, quick delivery, and a quality product from a great company. What more could you ask for? read more

I had a great experience and was offered so much help. We were straight up told what was the greatest bed for us and that's one of the things that made this a PERFECT buy, our salesman who helped us out was very nice and considerate of what we were looking for Alex Munoz which was the salesman that helped us out has to be the best at the Oxnard branch he was SO helpful. Also we were straight up told what was gonna happen in the transaction so we weren't going to pay extra like other mattress companies. David Stengel is great. He is what sales "should" be about...helping YOU to find the best product for YOU! He was courteous and helped with some amazing financing. The bed he helped me pick out is fantastic. All I can say is that I will sleep even better knowing there are people like David Stengel still left in this world! Also, the guys that delivered my bed were courteous and had my bed set up in minutes, no fuss no muss! And the people at the delivery call center really helped me find a general time that worked for me...and delivered during that time! Thanks! read more

I had an outstanding mattress shopping experience here! From the moment we walked into the store, Kat was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive without being pushy. She took the time to listen to our specific needs and guided us through several options. What stood out the most was Kat's genuine care for finding us the right fit, rather than just making a sale. Her customer service was top-notch, and she made sure we were completely satisfied so we were confident in our final decision. Her expertise and friendly demeanor made the entire experience a pleasure. read more

My wife and I were privileged to have Dave Stengel help us out yesterday when we were looking for a new mattress. To say that Dave was the most courteous salesperson I have met in the last 30 years would be an understatement. His main goal was to have my wife and myself be satisfied as potential customers. No hard sell at all. With the new computerized test mattress to determine what was best for us, I could not recommend a better store and salesperson. Make sure you ask for David Stengel.....and tell him Bob and Elaine Allen highly recommended him. read more
