I never thought I would ever look forward to doing my laundry. That's what my life is like since I've been going to Sit & Spin. The washers and dryers are state-of-the-art, easy to use, handle big loads, and all have names on them which is hilarious. The granite counter tops are always clean and perfect for folding. I went here once to do a volunteer event for Magnet and AEF. The owner, patrons, and the event were terrific. Its great to see local businesses involved in the community. Too many times people will only do good things as long as there's something in it for them. Sit and Spin isn't that place. They do things out of the goodness of their hearts. Dryer broke. Haven't been to a laundromat in years (first world problem) and couldn't have been happier with this place. The attendant is super helpful for someone out of practice, the place is clean and the machines are fast. Oh and I'm on free wifi now typing this. This is a REALLY NICE laundry mat. The place is always spotless, the machines seem well maintained, and the prices are reasonable/where they should be. There are large and small machines, and they each have their own name. Honestly, I'd bump this place up a star... if I actually did my laundry here! LOL! But it's not in my neighborhood.. Great place. Open-air on nice days (like today). A few tables outside. A few tables inside. Don't know/care about the laundry stuff, but the lady working behind the counter is uber nice. Got a little bottle of coke for $1.25 - a buck two five! Quiet. Spinning of the laundry machines is a great background noise. Nice wooden furniture - comfy, but not so comfy you'll fall asleep while working on something boring. Funky colors. Very bright and gay - happy gay and gay gay. Free wifi. No funky passwords. Went here again for one last time. I had some money left on the laundry card I had before, and decided to go on a little field trip to do my laundry. I hadn't been there in over six months, and yet, as soon as I walked in, the woman who works there recognized me immediately. I was very surprised, and she was as friendly as ever. She talked to me while I folded my laundry, and I was kind of sorry it was my last time going there. The prices really are high, but sometimes it's worth it. read more

This place is always clean and there are lots of machines available. I never have to wait. The prices are great too. One load is $4.35 and the dryer is .40 for 7 minutes. The machines have a large capacity so you can easily put everything in one load. read more

If I didn't already have an in unit washer and dryer, I would definitely make this my go to laundry mat. Neeta (I'm pretty sure I didn't get the spelling of her name right) is super sweet and helpful and will help you whenever you need. She's all about the service and won't push you to spend more than you need. Wi-fi available, and with a pretty open space. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all, but multiple machines were in use. Definitely recommended. read more

I only really come here because it is convent. It is down the street and I always wait to the last second to do my laundry so I have like 10 pounds of laundry. Normally I come here on a weekday afternoon to insure that I get the washer and dryer that I like. It is nice that they have heat settings on their machines because some places that I have gone in the city don't do that. But just a warning IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE! I am going to say it is about $4.00 total to wash one load and about $2.00 for a dryer. Typically I spend $10 to wash my clothes. Pretty expensive but also really convent. read more

Normally i wouldn't write a review for a laundromat. It's a laundromat. But as I'm on a tear writing reviews lately, and I was blown away by the recent one star review, I figured i'd chime in. I have to admit, I only just recently moved to the city and this is the first time I've had to use a laundromat since college. So are the prices high? Beats me as I don't know what the competition is doing. HOWEVER, I find the prices extremely reasonable, especially when you consider you can have your clothes, washed and dried, in an hour. Seriously, their equipment does NOT mess around; it is efficient and high powered. The place is very clean, the staff is very helpful, and it doesn't reek of the desperation and fail that I recall laundromats having when I was in school. It feels safe, and I never feel like my clothes are going to get messed with if I leave. And there are tons of machines, so you never have to wait, or find out that some douchebag has dropped your clothes from the washer onto a table if you weren't there to move them immediately. And while I'm embarrassed to say I don't know her name, the Indonesian lady who works there is wonderful and a total sweetheart! Why no five stars? I can never seem to get the washers to do cold only. Not a HUGE deal, but it strikes me as odd. And the chairs by the counter blow; they look comfy but suck to sit in. Plus it WOULD be nice if they kept the TV on by default with some sports or news. Just sayin. read more

The lady who runs the place is extremely helpful and very friendly. I came here to wash a bed spread and she walked me through the process with the machines. Best of all she keeps an eye on the place and your clothes. I was able to leave and get dinner while the bed spread was washing and she watched my washer and others folks like a hawk. There were customers (regulars I assume), who were coming in and out who did the same thing. So she is pretty trust worthy. Kudos to this place. Best laundromat I've been to in ages. Had a laundry in my own building, but not now. Sure it's pricey, but spotless, well-taken care of, nice view of handsome dudes inside, terrific, friendly attendant. Philz coffee attached, free wifi and a 42" flat sreen with CNN. And you can get a margarita during the dry cycle a few doors down at Moby Dick's on a nice afternoon. How perfect is that? read more

Always clean and convenient laundromat. It is a bit pricey but their machines always are open and clean well. The owners are very nice and always helpful. The only thing I can't stand is the money cards. I have not yet mastered how to insert the money card in the dryer to get more time. It always takes me a while to keep adding time. A laundromat with granite countertops and a cafe out front? Brilliant! This place offers a pleasant laundry experience and delightful staff. Machines operate on a card-based system, and are fairly expensive (~$4.00 a washer load at the time of writing). However, the environment brings me back every time. First-time user of Sit & Spin today. I neglected my laundry for a month and figured it would be quicker to go to a laundromat so I could do six loads at once. Loved this place! It was Friday at noon and I had no problem finding vacant machines. And the place is super clean. The money card system is a bit confusing but the gentleman attendant saw me struggle and helped me through it with a smile. I had trouble adding bleach and he helped me without me having to ask. Wash cycles are 21 minutes. Dryers are huge and efficient. 21 minutes for dress shirts, 35 minutes for heavy towels and bath mats. When I was done the attendant checked my machines to make sure I didn't miss anything. This is the way to run a business. read more

I just had to dry a Hoodie. Left the house with wet hoodie, pocket full of quarters and some cash. This place doesn't accept quarters, ok so i put a dollar in the machine and received a plastic card that said it had 1 cent of credit on it. So the card will cost you 99c without a warning. Ok so I put another dollar on the card just trying to dry 1 hoodie. I put the hoodie in the machine & the machine tells me that I have 60 cents credit left, ok so the dryer costs 40cents to use one time. After two complete drying cycles on high setting, I opted not to break a twenty & left the place with my hoodie still wet. I spent $2.00- & still have 20 cents left on this useless plastic card. read more

5 stars for the facility and the great service given when Yeti is working. 3 stars at best when the guy attendant is working. Yeti goes above and beyond to help. The guy is too self absorbed and seems to always have an unfriendly attitude. I now go here only on Yeti's shifts. read more

I rarely write reviews, but the wash & fold service here is absolutely amazing. I've been to quite a few places in the Noe & Castro area, and nothing comes close. The woman who runs the place is super careful, pleasant to deal with and gives you complete faith that your clothes are going to come back intact. Its expensive to do it yourself (although it is the cleanest laundromat you'll ever see) but paying $0.95 for multi-day wash & fold service is well worth it. The laundromat lady rocks. Also, the coffee shop (with wifi) are the amongst the best I've found attached to a laundromat if you do do it yourself. read more

The Sit & Spin is very nice, very clean, and the ladies who work there are friendly and helpful. It definitely makes laundry day enjoyable. I always look forward to laundry day because of the Philz coffee I get to enjoy while waiting on my clothes. It is $3.95 for a wash load, and pretty cheap drying...i think around $.45/seven minutes. I have never had to wait on washers/dryers while visiting the Sit and Spin! It is the kind of place i would go to even if i didn't live in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Was in the area because my husband is in the hospital near by, we live over an hour away and I needed to wash. This laundromat operates on a laundry card system and they lent me a card to load with money and didn't make me pay for it since I wasn't local. I had money left over and they returned it, making sure I saw the card display so I knew she was being honest. This kind, wonderful lady is named Jeti. She takes great pride in her job, knows all her regulars by their first name and was super sweet. The facility has state of the art machines, free wi-fi, is clean and cute (the machines all have name tags with different machines) and I washed in "Norman" & dried in "Josephine". Jeti offered to watch my washer so i could go get a snack or drink down the bar &,I walked across the street to 7-11 to get coffee and a snack. If I need to do laundry again while my hubby is in the hospital, I will definitely come back. To top it all off, as I left, she said "I pray your husband gets well soon". The lady who works here is friendly, and being near coffee and wi-fi are great pluses. But if you have any sort of allergies to dander, this probably shouldn't be your place. Dogs are allowed inside, and the last time a dog was roaming around. I figured that for the extra price they would be better at keeping it cleaner. read more

Sort of out of the way and hard to find, but very reasonably priced, with good quality wash and dry machines, a bathroom ,free wifi, accessible parking (at least when I was here on a Monday afternoon ), and the attendant was exceedingly helpful and accommodating, even with several customers in the store. read more
