However that's not what this place has. Their ice cream has very little flavor, it's not creamy at all, it's more like ice milk than anything. Definitely disappointed and will not be back for the ice cream.

I didn't ask if they could "make" Mint Chocolate Chip or Chocolate Chip? But the Butter Pecan my husband got was generous for a two scoop and he said it was awesome. The family in the pavillion was enjoying playing on the giant chalk board so for kids, it is a great distractions everyone finished their treat at their own pace. I can see us coming here with grandkiddos someday.

The ice…read morecream is consistently fresh, creamy, and full of flavor, but the real standout for me is the fresh-made waffle cones--the smell alone when you walk in makes the visit worth it. It's become one of those places that feels like a treat and a destination instead of just a quick dessert stop. The staff has always been friendly, and the atmosphere makes it easy to enjoy and slow down for a bit. One thing I'd love to see added someday: fresh waffle ice cream sandwiches, fluffy waffles with ice-creamcenter! I think those would be a huge hit and take an already great experience to another level. Definitely recommend making the drive if you enjoy homemade ice cream and fresh waffle cones.

We tend to frequent the same legendary ice cream spots over and over. Sunni Sky's, Goodberry's,…read moreFat Cat, Fresh Local...we kind of just rotate endlessly through those. However, now that we have tried Mama Birds it will definitely be added to our rotation. They have gluten-free waffle cones here which was a bit surprising to be honest. They also label their ice creams as gluten free which is helpful. It is a bit more on the expensive side, a double scoop is $7.50 and a triple is $10 plus $1.50 for the waffle cones ($2.25 for GF). So it's a bit expensive. I always base the cost on a family of 5...it's basically $45 for 5 double scoop cones + tip is another $9 and with taxes you're looking t just under $60 which buys a lot of Ben and Jerry's or 3 trips to Sunni Skies... Some ice cream shops encourage you to try as many as you'd like. I think I tried 5 here and the staff was getting annoyed with me...there wasn't a line either it was just us. I wouldn't try more than 2-3 if there was a line. I feel like a couple here is the standard. The parking lot exit needs some work, if you have a tiny car you might lose it in the potholes! I'm sure that problem belongs to whoever owns the property that rents to the ice cream shop but I'd push for it to be fixed! Decent amount of parking. It's very clean and cool inside. They do have restrooms. Tables are shared seating so you'll be sitting next to strangers (not a problem for me but I know people who want their own table). It is somewhat small. I don't know how busy it can get but if it was slammed you might have to eat in your car so make sure you bring some wet wipes for the kids.
