Today, I walked into this salon because I needed an emergency hairstyle for my niece. I had made her a promise that I couldn't break. As a stylist myself, I take our crowns and the quality of hair services very seriously.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with peace, love, and kindness. The stylist was professional, patient, and wonderful with children. I didn't need to give a long explanation; I simply showed her a picture, and she did exactly what I asked.
While I waited, I watched the entire team welcome walk-in clients and work together to ensure that every client received quality service within a reasonable amount of time. I also had the opportunity to see the owner in action. She encouraged and coached her staff while making sure that every service was completed correctly. When I heard them discussing a staff meeting, I realized that this salon is led by a strong leader who truly cares about her team and their growth.
As a Haitian-American woman, I felt especially proud to see another young Haitian woman pursuing her dream and building something extraordinary after only one year in business.
