    Extensions @ Sirens w/Kristin
    Jill B.

Been seeing Kristin for over 15 years for my hair color, cut, and extensions. I have naturally CURLY hair (1/2 black), and Sirens Salon is 100% equipped to handle all hair types beautifully. Choosing Sirens was the result of an exhaustive search, and it payed off. I find the alternative, creative vibe of the salon preferable to a stuffy cookie-cutter establishment. The stylists are experts at bringing your unique vision to life. This results in an outcome that's specifically tailored to you. My hair is pretty traditional- long extensions w/blonde and light brown highlights. So, "normal" hair is within their realm as well.

I was a loyal client at Sirens when I lived in LA and I still return for hair extensions and bleach and tones when I can. In total I've been coming here for 14 years! Omg where does time go?! Kristen (the owner) has been my go to stylist since the beginning. She does the most amazing hair extensions using the rare box braid method, which lasts for several months and does not damage my hair. Her bleach and tones are the best too. She corrects the inconsistencies left by other stylists that I see in my current city and leaves my hair looking beautifully toned and "even". I'm grateful that she's still operating in LA after all these years! Your search for a quality rock and stylist is over. Just call Sirens and make your appointment already. You have found your hair spot!

The reference picture, what I asked for

The first photo is the reference pic I sent the stylist. The rest are what they did, completely different! I paid $200 and did not get anything close to what I asked for. The stylist asked me to return so they can fix it for an additional $100. Honestly I felt so ugly and sad walking around with yellow, brassy, and green hair. After the first wash my hair became completely yellow with a green tint then it started to become more and more green. I reached out to the stylist and they recommended I add the tinted conditioner they gave me and I did but that didn't remove the yellow and it made my hair more green. I sent them pictures with concerns about my hair being green and I did not get a response. I decided to cancel my "follow up" appointment since I am not confident the stylist could fix this, I felt they were ignoring me/didn't care, and several friends informed me that it's not typical for a stylist to charge and extra 100 for a follow up if they're the one that did not do the hair correctly/as wanted in the first place.

I just took a huge leap of faith and changed my hair color to blue and purple!! I was SO NERVOUS! I'm also not usually into the whole salon atmosphere but Sirens is different. Tami took care of me completely and she made me feel right at home! She really knows what she's doing with color!! We talked about what I was looking for and when I said I wasn't sure which all over color to go with, Tami said "why not both!" And!! The cut! I'm really excited about this new look. The cut is also perfect for what I wanted. I love the whole vibe of the salon. It's cozy and well appointed with art. There's also cool vintage clothes and jewelry. It really felt more like visiting a close friend at home Thank you Tami and Sirens!! I'll be back!

    getting my many pinks on

The staff at Sirens is fun and friendly and most important knowledgable about the health and integrity of your hair. They do everything from blonde highlights to rainbow dread hair extensions - each stylist has their specialty so you are sure to get whatever your hair fantasy is (within healthy hair reason) The music is always fun- the vibe is always you're with the cool kids - and it is so awesome to walk out of there feeling like a rock star! The location couldn't be better and you can go shopping on Melrose after to show off your new hair!!!

Kristen is amazing! She transformed me with amazing color and extensions:-) Highly recommend

First off: the salon itself is SO CUTE!! I had my appointment with Sean Lacy today and he did an absolutely amazing job on my hair!! I wanted a mullet w soft bangs and dyed black & rainbow underneath the bangs and it looks so frickin cuuuute!! I have never gotten a haircut I've loved this much:) Sean is absolutely amazing at what he does and he knows what he's doing, as well as being probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Definitely couldn't recommend him more, go to Sean for your whacky hair needs

Travis did my daughters cut, he was very friendly and she couldn't stop smiling. Thank you Sirens.

My daughter got her haircut there with Travis. He was very friendly and she couldn't stop smiling afterwards. Thank you Siren's salon.

The overgrown roots and faded blue I came in with

I always go to Travis to get my bright colors done. I have had every color of hair over the past 5 years. I had a lot of blue left over when I came in this week, and I was trying to switch to orange. He used some color remover on me (just once to avoid damaging the hair) and covered up what was left with this beautiful color!! I am very pleased with it, and Siren will be my go-to salon from here on out. Having paid upwards of $600 for haircuts in LA that were essentially the same cut but in different colors, I am always extremely pleased to see that the bill here comes out to a reasonable $450. All the staff I have met are super friendly, and Travis doesn't mind me doing homework while he works which is essential.

She is so nice and explained the process of the donation and also provided guidance on selecting the best hair cut for me. After looking at a few photos, I decided to go with a moderate cut to ease back into the general population. I was so happy with the results and would recommend Yuki to any of my friends. She will only take appointments and is the busiest during the weekend. This is my warning to others that are going here to have straightening done. Don't rely on her to tell you it's not right for your hair. To top it off when I called to tell her she did not apologize, she did not act as though she felt bad her response was not caring at all. Not to mention she didn't offer any advice or a refund. Now it will take me years to get my hair healthy and I'm so upset.

I found Anya on Reddit and came in on a nice Sunday to get a curly cut from her. She was super comfortable doing my hair and talking to me about what I wanted, and even made suggestions that went along with what my endgame was. I essentially told her I wanted to keep my bangs and my face framing little hair tendrils, and she can do what she wanted with the rest! From there, she asked questions such as how heavy my hair feels regularly/the last time I got it cut, if I like my hair to have volume or sit the way it is and mimicked with my hair how both versions looked, made observations and suggestions on where we could go. Honestly, this was the best experience I've had! She thinned out a lot of my hair as well since it gets pretty heavy for me, gave me a nice shape and my hair more personality, and even layers on the back to make everything more cohesive! Frankie was my wash tech (is that what they're called?) and she was great to talk to about books! She was also very cautious on making sure the water was just right for my scalp.
