I've been searching for an affordable local barber that can do cuts for both of my sons - one a traditional short cut (6yo) and the other a longer scissor cut (4yo getting his first cut). I got a mohawk and fade from the owner, Thomas Baca, this morning. When I arrived for my appointment, he was ready for me and we were the only ones in the shop. During the cut, Thomas was chatty and shared how he came to open his shop. He paid close detail to the cut and explained what he was doing each step of the way. The shop was immaculately clean and decorated colorfully with street art on the walls. Before meeting, I shared concerns about COVID adherence. Thomas took the time to share his protocol. It's clear that Thomas is passionate about his craft and those who sit in his chair. Cuts cost five to ten dollars more than neighboring shops, but I would pay the price without hesitation. Went in for a cut no one was there for a hood 5mins, dude then comes out all pissy saying I'm late then said he couldn't cut my hair

absolutely terrible service. they cancelled multiple appointments with little notice or reason and when i finally go into the shop to be seen, im told to rebook. again. when asking for other services in the area, im told verbatim by the clerk, "I don't know, I'm not your dad man." I would NOT want to support a business that treats their customers like this. --also looked at other google reviews. apparently this same bald guy is hitting on customers? sending death threats to customers who want their hair fixed? this is absolutely unacceptable behavior. flashing wads of cash and flexing his hellcat? there was another review suggesting the haircuts were expensive and the salon replied, "just say the truth, u cant afford it!" which.. again is just incredibly unprofessional. would not support a business with an owner that act this way. read more

My 1st visit to Sir Men's. No complaints. The owner is the operator and provides quality cuts. He sticks to 30 minute intervals rather than loading the place up with waiting clients. No over promising and under delivering. Definitely get on his site a book an appointment. Finally a barbershop that understands quality over quantity. I hope he sticks to the basics that allowed him to grow his shop into a respectable and yet edgy place. I like to have a gentlemen look without a $50bill and smelling like flower bed. Found this place by accident, but really glad I did. Tom did a great job! Due to Covid, I was months over due for a cut. I went in and gave him a few parameters but otherwise he had artistic license. So I got a haircut from this place one day it was a awful experience to say the least. I didn't want to have to review in google but people need to know how this guy acts. He messed up my hair line, my line up, it was messed up. I called left a message to see if he could do anything.. I get a call back from him saying " come back for a full refund, just don't come back to my shop again".. I said OK. I go to get my full refund & I show him where it was messed up & then I was met with Name calling OUT OF NOWHERE, cussing, threats of violence for showing him my messed up cut, then he proceeded to threaten me to get out of his shop & DIDNT even give me the full refund like he said, gave me a partial refund. So I Just left... but to make things even stranger.. during my haircut he took out his phone camera & set it up on a stand right in front of my face.. he said " he's just trying to see how much space he has left on his phone" I just said "OK".. then I DISCOVER THEIRS A VIDEO of ME ON HIS YOUTUBE account!!! He DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME if it was ok to record me or to upload a video of me on the internet!!! HOW WEIRD & creepy!!!! then once I discover this video of me on his YouTube account: "Thomasbacabarber" I called & left a message for him to take it down especially since I find it creepy & weird since he didn't even ask me & said "he was just seeing how much space he has on his phone".. I called about a day ago, he just doesn't care & didn't take it down like I asked so I don't know what to do now.... just a HEADS UP for the future customers!!! I went back today just to ask in person to take my video of me down in his business where I didn't give permission a for him to record, he said NO. Was met with name calling, threats, & he locked his doors. read more
