Came here because they do walk ins. Haircut was ok, not worth coming back. This place is such an uncomfortable environment. The barbers talked or more like yelled at each other the whole time. Lots of cursing even though multiple kids were in chairs at the time, including mine, speaking negatively of women, and homophobic slurs used. Doesn't feel welcoming and respectful for women or children, especially single moms. read more

My uncle introduced me to this place and it's definitely the best barber shop here in ABQ. I walk in, see all the walls and interior decorated with MMA style paintings and pictures which is really cool and a ton of famous people get their cuts here. I got hooked up with my boi Jr. and he's such a cool guy, and actually knows what he's doing. I asked for a 0 taper up to a 3 and little trim on top with a line up, and he pulled it off exactly. Every other barber I've been to here always finds some way to mess it up but this place is definitely the place to be to get dope and fresh cuts. read more

When I walked up to the door the open sign was off and it was already 9:01. I then decided to just walk in but was told that I needed an appointment. The door clearly says walk ins welcomed but I get it. The thing that's frustrating is that I tried scheduling an appointment on their website but the location k to schedule appointment does not work. Yesterday, I took my niece to get an undercut trim. After waiting for 25 minutes to get a quote, I should've taken that as a omen to leave. I didn't catch the barbers name but it took an hour for him to trim and design the undercut. The design consisted of 3 stacked partials triangles and the lines were super thick and uneven at the end. He burned her head with the clippers to the point where she was bleeding. He wasn't careful with the long parts of hair at all so later that evening when she took her ponytail down clumps of hair were coming out. Thankfully, you can't tell where the missing hair came from. I usually prefer to support local small businesses but this time I should've went to great clips and paid $7 vs. the $20 terrible experience. We will not visit 3D Kutz again. Apparently there is one barber there that does designs, he didn't want to take my niece because he said "it would put their appointments behind", only to take a walk-in 5 minutes after her cut started. read more

I love this place! My kids love this place! They do a very nice job. Different, but if you can handle that all people are different and they're just another form of an artists then you're in good hands! I see other reviews saying don't go if you have kids, but I'd say don't go if you shelter your kids. They're all good people just living life a different way! The barber claimed my son was moving around my son is 9 and he's had his haircut multiple times with a clean up the barber shaved a slit in my son's eyebrows on the left side and part of the right side I'm not a barber but shouldn't he used a straight edge to clean up the edges and not clippers he also left long hairs behind and didn't cut my husband's hair as well if they are experienced and professional the guys would have apologized and offered a solution the manager was not helpful he gave the barber the right to talk to his customers like s***. No sense of customer service, the guy who cut my hair (C) got an attitude with me because he did my edge up crooked, had the audacity to tell me he went to school for it and I didn't.. Started to argue with me to where I've done this since probably longer than this "barber" I had to ask him if he's paying for the haircut or am I?! Dude rambled on this "artist ego" bullshit crap! We the customer make your pay! Extremely disappointed. Will not return. Lost me as a customer, I was a over a year customer, plus now they charge $16 for a simple haircut. Recently visited for the first time and got a stellar cut from Johnny. I've had my current style for about a year, but it's never looked this good. The attention to detail was excellent: the fade was on point, the cuts were crisp, and not a hair out of place. Price for a haircut and beard trim is very reasonable. Adam did a great job at cutting my son's hair, however, the other barbers were cursing and playing inappropriate music. They did not care that my 5 year old son was in the shop and they continued to use profanities and when asked to stop, they almost got in a fight with our barber. Wow, I was getting automobile fixed across the street and needed a haircut so I did a Google Maps search and discovered 3 D Kutz. I was taken-in and sat down and was treated very well. Granted, the place is not what I typically go to: heavy on the boxer fights and mixed marshal arts decor/motifs with a dash of machismo served-up Latin Boy style. Don't let this stop you from enjoying the ambiance of hot Latin straight boys. Don't get me wrong, very respectful very personable and no dirty mags or phone porn - nope, great to have sat and enjoyed the experience. The haircut was excellent and the stylist was very knowledgeable. Go! Just to get a taste of what it's like to be in a TOTALLY Latin Boy place with some very nice yet authentic homies. read more

Not sure about the other reviews but this place knows what they are doing. The wait times are long but well worth it as I drive all the way from the West Side just for a cut. I have seen all the cuts from everyone in they shop and all of them take there time and do a great job. I usually go to Charlie and he does killer lineups, skin fades, and old fashoned shaves with hot towels which is very hard to find around town. Prices are also pretty reasonable. Ive waited for a hair cut for more than 2 hours on multiple occasions. These people are rude, cuss frequently, and make fun of customers as soon as they walk out the door, i would never plan on going to 3d kutz,and paying 20 $ for a Supercuts level hair cut. you'd be better of using a razor blade and safety scissors than going to this place for a hair cut. every single person i see walking out of this establishment including me comes out with razor-blade cuts on their necks and dried blood just about everywhere else, I pity who actively chooses this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism. read more

Do not go to this barber shop if you have children. They play rap music but the unedited version and they will stop 50 times during your haircut to change the station on their TV. Great place with a great environment. Great people who know how to cut hair. Looks like more of a place for men, but they do woman's hair as well. They did a great job with my hair and my nephews. If you have little ones that you love in your heart so deeply do not take them here...... This is the second time I've been tempted to go because it's so conveniently close to my house and I thought maybe the first time was a bad experience this time was even worse.. feel free to ask me why and I will tell I am a grandma of 6 and I will not lie I always rate 5 and better when they deserve it. I am one of the best tippers ever, I'm one of those that can not walk out without tipping but when you sit a child in the chair and get ready to cut their hair only to STOP because your late person with appointment walked in.....So you take the apron off the child when you were about to cut his hair to get your person for one that was late and you have a child in your seat ....I am just so upset my grandson started crying he felt it was his fault that the adults were talking among each other children do not understand this don't get me wrong if they did not put them in the chair and did not put the apron on him or the cape and already had his hair ready to go. And I'm sure my last review is on here , unless it's true they delete they're bad reviews instead of fixing the problem.. but it's a different story if you go there when the owner is working... I was treated like a queen and my grandkids both were with me and it was like Disneyland they were so nice but why should the owner have to be there for the guys workers to respect your customers I highly do not recommend this place unless the owner is in their presence or you're going to have a lot of little children walking around working. the guy who works in the first chair to the left when you walk in do not ever let him cut your child's hair while I was in the waiting room not only one customer but several told me do not let him touch your child's hair that should have been my first sign to leave...
