He took time and effort to cut my hair and make me look nice. Went in today for a cut and the guy that did it wasn't friendly to begin with. I told the guy i wanted a razor fade he was like "you got it". I sat there while he clipped me i asked him if he could even it out with my beard. Did a horrible job on my beard. In the end i was being polite and i paid $45 for that trainwreck. 20 for the haircut 10 for destroying my beard. And $15 for a tip because im not a .... On top of all that the guy never even gave me a razor fade. I didnt speak on it cause i honestly didnt trust him with a razor around me. Careful with the skinny white guy. The big guy and old man are good(from what i can see. I never been cut by either one. The guy that gave me a fresh cut was no longer employed there). Avoid the other dude at all costs. So i left and i was looking in my car mirror and i was like nahhhh this dude made me look silly. Went back and the owner Rj pretty sure his name was a big dude "touched it up" but at that point it was gone. After homeboy had his way with me i walked out of their looking like sloth from the goonies. I left dissatisfied to say the least. After stairing in the mirror for a while i decided to shave it all off. A few tears later i fixed my beard into a goatee. Rocking that breaking bad look now. Thanks for the cut G. Also as you can see i can rock anything and make it look good. Except for that bum haircut. Nice try though. That last pic where my haircut is clean you see? The dude you got rid of did that for me. Bro did me right. Gave him a fat tip. Sucks you got rid of him he was quality. I woulda took a picture of what your guy did to me but i was to embarrased. Why you replaced a perfectly good barber with that disaster? I have no idea.

Frankie owns all of the credit, and all of the blame, for tipping me off about this great shop. Or…read moreshould I say, shame. Shame on you, Frankie, you've ended a relationship I've enjoyed with My Barber for the better part of 15 years. My Barber, downtown, is Leonard, he's great, and now that I've moved west of the river, My Barber simply isn't a smart choice for my headshop needs -- which arise every three weeks, or so. So yeah, Frankie, this review is the result of guilt, shame and the grief of losing a loved one, and so I'd like to thank you, my friend. The basics of Taylor'd Ranch (hey, that shear is a snippy name, guys!): Olde school barbershop, with serious chops (buh dum bum). Four barbers in the house, so you won't wait long, even on a busy Friday afternoon. The guy that started it all, Alton, has a huge fanbase, you'll be lucky to get in his seat, but no worries, he hires talented dudes and you'll get a great cut, regardless. My last visit, the place was packed with all kinds: firemen and EMTs, old and young, potty-mouths and reserved, proper lads. They do 'em all, including a hot shave and a splash of manly scent, at possibly the best price in town. *Though the biz is, technically, credit card friendly, there is an extra charge and you're better off hitting the ATM in the parking lot. So adieux, My Barber, Leonard, I will always recommend your shop -- Justin Tyme -- for the downtown crowd. And thanks, Frankie, for pointing me in the right direction for the next 15 years. Your name is apt. Men should take barber advice from men with names like Frankie.

Definitely recommend if you're in the area and need a solid cut.

Here's why: This is a modern, clean and organized barbershop that allows you to schedule appointments and pay ahead on an app. You can also call ahead. The free app is very convenient (you pay a little extra for the appointment conveniences, otherwise it's first come, first serve for walk ins...and explains why you might get pushed back, they prioritize those who put in the extra effort and appointment fee). Great atmosphere. Friendly conversation. Abraham and Zack do excellent work but if they're booked up you can walk in and count on any of the barbers here to leave you with a good haircut.
