She kept getting hair into the clippers that shouldn't have been cut . His hair is uneven and his hairline has steps. She didn't give any guidance or even talk to us during the hair cut. It was such an awful experience! Also they only take cash and that was not told to us ahead of time. We came here because they are supposed to specialize in children but they only have one specialty chair. My son was crying and upset. It was his first hair cut and she didn't do anything to try to soothe him or help him through the haircut. It would have been better to go somewhere else.

Our son is 10 years old and severely Autistic and as of lately haircuts have become a challenge again and he refused to let his dad give him one in over 2 months so his hair had grown a lot. I scheduled an appointment thru text message ( (505) 892-5439 ) and let one of the gals know that my son had never had a haircut done by anyone else but dad and that he needed a lot of patience since he can get physical and they said no problem. I'll admit I was very nervous bringing him in for the first time not knowing what to expect from my son who is also completely non verbal. He struggled at first to stay seated but the gal who cut his hair was so amazing with him and extremely patient that my son started to relax and he actually did very good. I appreciate their patience and understanding more than they can even imagine because things like this that may seem so small for others are HUGE for us and the ladies at Kid'z Place made us feel completely at ease. I will definitely be bringing my son back anytime his hair gets this unruly again and dad can't cut it. Highly recommend

She gave us great haircuts, and her friendly and professional demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable. Deborah is the one to see if you're looking for a barber who truly cares about their craft and their clients. Highly recommend this place! I'll be back.

The stylist did ask what I wanted, and I showed her a reference photo, yet she still used only one guard and cut his hair much higher than requested, completely missing what was shown. The haircut felt rushed, and the lineup was badly done. Most concerning of all, she cut my son's ear, which is unacceptable and a serious safety issue at a children's salon. I am uploading photos of the style I asked for, my son's hair before the appointment, and the result afterward so the difference is clear. I trusted this place with my child, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

I made it six months. And then one day, during a video conference, I saw my reflection and realized I'd gone from unkempt to downright unprofessional. I couldn't go on this way. I called the closest, highest-rated shop in my neighborhood, Runway, and left a message. The next day they called back and we set an appointment for a few days later. My stylist/barber was one of the owners, he and his spouse opened the shop a couple years back. He was also a firefighter, so this was his part time gig, but he was clearly talented, taking an inch off the top and blending the rest together to create an easy to manage hairstyle that's now lasted the better part of a month, and still looks pretty darn good. Oh, and the price? TWELVE BUCKS. Can't beat that. I guess the only question now is whether I can go another eleven months before I return.

Ariel was sweet and welcoming and put me at ease. As we talked she listened closely. She took some time looking at my hair and asked a few clarifying questions and then got to work. She brought me color samples to look at and talked to me about toning the blonde and if I wanted cooler or warmer color. Once she was satisfied with the understanding of what I wanted she went to get Shannon, the owner. They discussed the application, technique, product, time, etc. They quoted me an estimate that was complete and frugal and we made an appointment for the actual application. I went in on the 19th for my appointment with great excitement. After having my temperature taken and washing my hands we got down to business. Ariel clarified a couple of things then went to mix the first round of color. What I want is hard to explain, difficult to maintain, and certainly not easy to do well. Ariel made it seem like a cakewalk. The red on top and blonde balayage is not an easy application and she had to clean up a little from the previous time it was done. She hit it out if the park. With help from Shannon to speed the application process along, she gave me exactly what I was looking for. The colors and tones are spot on and the look is exactly what I was going for. Also, because of the products they use my hair is still soft and healthy and smells amazing! I would highly recommend Moxi and Ariel to anyone in need of a great style!

I wear long braids almost every single day, because I'm an acupuncturist and I need to keep it out of the way, but also because it's kinda my thing. However, I want it to look nice when I wear it down, too. I asked Petrina if she could somehow come up with a cut that could work for both. And she did. I was so pleasantly surprised. My hair was so swingy and she cut is so it falls in the prettiest way, but I can somehow still braid it. Best hair cut ever. She's a hair witch, I tell you! Her salon is private and so inviting, so there is none of the hustle and bustle and pretense. And Petrina herself is a gorgeous ray of sunshine! So sweet, really listens, and is skilled like a BOSS.
