Date: 6/14/2025 Time: 12:45 PM 65° Sunny Before I headed to the Juneteenth event, I stopped in at Sips Global Teas to browse. I found out about Sips on my FB newsfeed page last month (Grand Opening ad). Sips Global Teas has loose leaf teas from Africa, Asia, South America and Germany. I am truly amazed at the assortment of teas - black tea, green tea, rooibos, caffeine-free. According to what I read about Sips, they offer over 85 different teas. They even offer a workshop for customers who want to customize their own teas. The ambiance is mellow and comfortable. Teas are displayed on both walls. Besides the packages of teas, they have little bottles of the tea which you can open and smell the aroma of the teas. Customer service was excellent. The owner's daughter was extremely helpful and pleasant. She answered my questions about hibiscus teas and the benefits thereof. Another tea I was interested in was the butterfly pea flower tea, a blue tea. Add lemon to the tea, and it changes from blue to purple. I will have to start drinking more tea, especially the hibiscus for managing my blood pressure. The hibiscus tea most likely would be more beneficial for my health than taking the prescribed medication (metoprolol tartrate) from Kaiser. Purchase: 2 ounce bags of herbal teas - butterfly pea flower and Bora Bora. Price: $30. The owner's daughter mentioned to me that the Bora Bora tea was customed made by her mother. Ingredients for the Bora Bora tea are as follows: hibiscus blossoms, apple pieces, papaya cubes, currants, elderberries, blackcurrant flavoring, freeze-dried raspberries pieces and strawberries pieces, sunflower and cornflower blossoms. Return visits? Yes, yes, yes. I am highly satisfied with the assortment of teas Sips Global Teas have available for purchase.

Went today for a Matcha & Hojicha lesson with my family and it was so fun :) Marlene is super sweet and was very informative with the history about the leaves and the preparation methods. We had a lot of fun being creative with our concoctions. So happy to have stumbled upon her shop, 10/10 and highly recommend

What a great find! This is my first time in the marketplace and I stumbled upon this tea store. The teas (and spices) are lined up against the wall, and there are tester containers of so many teas that you can smell. There is a great selection of chai, colombian, japanese, fruity, medicinal, etc. They offer 2 free samples of teas on Saturday and the owner (Marlene) encourages you to sit down to enjoy it. She is super knowledgable and open to questions and comments. We even sampled an experimental tea she had brewing. Marlene was super friendly and recommended teas based off our preferences. She is always finding new products and adding them as well. Definitely worth checking out for tea enthusiasts! I still have tea I need to get through first, but I'll be back to purchase some.

We took a tea blending class - Marlene was a great educator and we loved learning the history of and how to blend teas. Appreciated the nibbles while sipping on our tea. Highly recommend taking her class! Thank you Marlene and Vanessa! Janice and Yeng Moua

The bridal party with Marlene :)

Our bridal party had a thoroughly splendid time during Marlene's tea class! She welcomed us warmly, and set up the space so beautifully for our bride to be. I appreciated that she initiated a conversation with me ahead of time to prepare for the class and incorporate personalized and meaningful touches. Instruction was not only informative but also practical and fun! She ensured that everyone was equipped with the essentials and even provided tasty cheese and snacks. All in all, a wonderful experience thanks to our knowledgeable and gracious instructor, and of course, the plethora of delicious teas! The only difficult part was zeroing in on which teas to use for our blends. Thank you, Marlene, for a fabulous time!

Really wonderful tea blending workshop! Would recommend for anyone wanting to learn about different types of tea and the process of creating a unique blend. Apt for a range of experiences and skill levels.

The only option is street parking, so finding a good spot can be difficult. It is an extremely popular spot, so I'd advise making your reservation weeks ahead of time. Once you're inside, though, it's a great experience. Though gu the shop is small and the tables a bit crowded together, the atmosphere is lovely. The decor is tastefully quaint, and the space is clean and well-lit. The tea service itself is lovely as well. The full tea service, which runs each person $48, includes your pick from a very large variety of teas and sandwiches, including a couple vegetarian options, though I wouldn't call the overall menu vegetarian-friendly. Each table also comes with a little container of sugar cubes and creamer for their tea. This far, all of the sandwiches and teas that I have tried are very good. Each patron gets their own pot of tea instead of one shared pot for the table, which I love. Each set also comes with a scone with clotted cream and jam, a potato canape, and a selection of small desserts. It was more than enough to satisfy me. I really love that they offer both traditional British flavors as well as unique Malaysian flavors in their menu. The desserts also change from time to time, so every experience can feel a little special and new. It gives this spot a unique feel that I haven't yet found elsewhere. Overall, the experience was very positive and I absolutely do recommend it to anyone who has the time and interest. Though $48 is definitely not cheap on the surface, I feel that the unique menu, quantity of food and drink, and general enjoyability of the experience make the price worth it.

Even though there was a sign mentioning that it was a small space and asking guests to keep the volume down, that didn't really happen. One of the other parties was an intimate baby shower. My friends and I weren't exactly quiet either, but I think it was because the whole room was fairly lively. There were so many different kinds of tea to choose from. There were six of us, and we all ordered different flavors so we could sample each other's teas. The sandwich selection was also impressive, and our tea towers included a variety of small desserts that were all delicious as well. I chose the Smoked Salmon & Chive Cream Cheese, Cucumber & Dill Cream Cheese, and Coconut Jam (Kaya) with sliced cold butter. The Kaya sandwich was easily my favorite. The desserts were a wonderful addition to the experience, and everyone at the table enjoyed them. I was torn between ordering the Peaches & Cream Black Tea and a green tea. I ended up choosing the Genmaicha with Coconut, and it was delicious. If I come back, I'd definitely like to try the Peaches & Cream Black Tea. As a group, we all agreed that the Kaya sandwich was the standout item. We did have a small hiccup at the beginning because two of our tea orders arrived without tea bags--basically just hot water! We all had a good laugh about it. They were busy, and mistakes happen. The staff was very apologetic and corrected it right away. They even offered us two extra sandwich orders, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed my first tea party. However, I do feel that this venue is better suited for a calmer, more intimate gathering, such as a bridal shower or a quiet afternoon tea with close friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Anytime someone rang the bell, they came to the table almost immediately. If you're looking for a relaxing tea experience with a small group, this is definitely a place worth trying. For my group of friends, we're a little louder and more energetic, so it almost felt like we were too much for such a peaceful setting. Still, we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and cozy tea house

The Blueberry Burst Boba was fruity, refreshing, and packed with blueberry flavor without being overly sweet. The popping boba added a fun texture and made the drink feel extra enjoyable. The House Special Milk Tea was smooth and well-balanced, with a rich tea flavor that came through nicely. The boba pearls were soft and chewy, and both drinks felt freshly made. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff kept things moving quickly even during a busy period. The vibe is clean, modern, and relaxed, making it a nice place to stop for a quick drink or hang out with friends. Overall, a great local boba shop with reliable drinks and plenty of options to choose from. I'd come back to try more of their specialty drinks next time.

Sesame Snow ($7.75) with pearl ($0.75) is super creamy, full flavor of black sesame with zero ice added. At 50% sweet, it is truly satisfying. If I selected 30%, I believe the sweetness would still prevail. It's almost like a silky, slightly icy, fine milk shake. The addition of the cheese foam added a sweet, salty, nuttiness to the drink's profile. I did not get that until the end. I purposely drank slowly to make the drink last. Lychee Oolong Latte ($6.75) with pearl ($0.75) is very fragrant in flavor with lychee being the star. It comes with ice, which I typically remove to avoid watering the drink. It is a milky, lychee drink - refreshing and cold. There is a surprise at the end, a whole piece of lychee to enjoy at the end. Our daughter loved her drink, asking for more once it was done. Brown Sugar Pearl Oolong Tea Latte ($6.75) is my husband's go to. The latte is not made of coffee and does not include ice. It is your standard brown sugar milky drink with pearls. There is a play area near by if you have a little with you as we do. There is seating outside Yifang when the weather is nice with shaded seating under umbrellas and the side of store fronts.
