Coffee: strong. I make French Press daily at home but Yemeni beans mean business. Take in moderation and enjoy every sip. The whole place is so incredibly charming, probably the cutest cafe in the Bay! I couldn't stop taking pics of all the art and collection of artifacts from Malaysia back in the day. Then the eats -- we had a slice of quiche, the dry laksa a blue tea refresher and the ice kacang. Everything was great and the ice kacang was amazing, so we got another one! One day it will be perfect, the next the coffee is barely warm when one has asked for extra hot; or one coffee will be sweetened and the other not at all when the instructions clearly ask for light sweet. One day we got two espressos instead of two cortados! The heated fatayer were cold in the corners and all crowded on to one plate so you couldn't tell which has which filling. Just generally, it's as if the people behind the counter no longer care that your experience should be great or that one cup of coffee that you have in your day be perfect! It's not even as if one is asking for anything outside of their ordering menu. We're really dismayed and saddened to see our favorite coffee haunt fall so far from grace. I'm thinking I'd like to get the lychee or hojicha next time. The worker didn't mention to me if they offer milk, which I wish they did. But they do sell snacks. The bathroom is clean. They have free wifi but the day I was there, unfortunately they were having issues with the wifi. They have a 2 hour time limit on weekends, but no limit on weekdays. I appreciate that they have outdoor seating, for those who are airborne illness conscious, and also so you can enjoy nature and sunshine while having your tea.
