Years later, it was time to replace everything, and we wanted a kitchen with a better flow, more space, and better quality cabinets and appliances. Most contractors we contacted simply wanted to replace everything without improving it. Bath Plus Kitchen has actual architects on staff, listened to my list of wants and needs, and then incorporated them. I liked that they change a base price for this, so that I had the option of taking the plans to a different contractor or of using their in-house building crew. We went with their building crew, and we're really happy with how the kitchen turned out. It's so much more open and spacious than before. I have lots of space for working. I upgraded to a powerful stove with a hood, both of which work great. I'm really happy with the quality of the cabinets -- such an upgrade from any I've had before, probably ever. I'm enjoying the little extras that they planned into the kitchen that wouldn't have occurred to me, like dimmers on all of the lights, the quality hardware, touch-sensitive faucet, even the matching wood-panel vent covers and switch plate. The building crew did a very good job keeping the site clean and performing quality work all the way around. Nothing has felt wobbly, looked crooked, or seemed in the slightest bit off. A few negatives: Bath Plus Kitchen is BUSY! We started working on this project in November 2022. We finalized the plans, picked out appliances, and put down a large deposit in early February 2023. Work on our kitchen actually began the second week of July. That's a while to wait! We also had a few communication challenges, like a shifting start date, when to expect the crew to be at our house, and who was responsible for arranging delivery of a few items. It was nothing awful, but worth keeping on top of. Overall, the kitchen looks great and is great to cook in, and I'm excited to have friends over. I think we will enjoy it for many years to come.

NV Kitchen and Bath did a very complete renovation of a condominium for us. This included redoing…read morethe entire electrical system, gutting and rebuilding the kitchen, installing all new appliances, gutting and rebuilding two bathrooms, building and installing built-in cupboards, installing all new lighting and hardware, and installing new floors throughout. The job was particularly challenging because the condo is in a 1938 building with concrete walls and ceilings. The team also had to work around the restrictions that come with working in a condo in DC--limited work hours, the need to accommodate neighbors, DC regulations, etc. Our designer, Italo, had excellent ideas and suggestions and helped us find finishings that met our taste and budget. Our day-to-day foreman, Edgar, was a joy to work with and was unfailingly helpful and kind. We are thrilled with the final results. We got the warm, inviting home we were looking for and couldn't be happier.

I was getting a lot of quotes to have my walk in and coat closet renovated. The first company i…read morewent to get a quote from was closet America, and they were frankly awful. Not only were they horribly expensive, but they took absolutely forever to get me a quote (who has time to sit there for 2+ through their presentation of how they're the best?!). They are proud to admit they're the most expensive, and then they move onto the used car salesman tactics of 'let me ask my manager' and 'if we go any lower than that we'll be taking money out of our employees pockets' and 'if you order today we'll give you 30% off!' typical pressure tactics. I said thank you and asked them to leave. That's when I found Econize! They were extremely respectful of my time, and showed me a 3D mock up of my closets within minutes. They offered an extremely reasonable price (less than half of what closet America quoted for 1 closet). Once I hired them for the work, they showed up perfectly on time, exactly on the day we agreed on, and their workers were very respectful and left my house clean. The work is gorgeous and exactly what i had envisioned! I will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know and using them in the future!
