Came in on Saturday for the first time right before the lines picked up. I personally had the brown sugar coffee latte with oat milk, and added an extra shot. It was PERFECT! Not too sweet, and not to strong on the coffee. Balance was great. The barista mentioned that the drink was generally on the sweeter side, so make adjustments as needed. I prefer this brown sugar coffee over Starbucks! My friends ordered the Ube Coffee Latte, which they reported being good as well. The Ube flavor wasn't as strong as they anticipated, but enough to taste. Nonetheless, still a delicious drink to try. Will be back to try another specialty drink! read more

Taste: I really enjoyed the pistachio cream latte that I had. Definitely tasted the pistachio and the coffee was strong so I highly recommend this drink. I didn't really like the mint mojito but I'm a bit picky since I'm a philz coffee fan. But the mint mojito kind of tasted like my toothpaste so I'll pass on this one next time. Safety: All baristas wore their masks and inside had clear markers for reminding customers to stay 6ft apart. It's a very spacious coffee shop and the inside decor is super cute! I would visit again. It didn't leave much of an impression for me since the flavor wasn't really there. Parking can also be a pain too since it's street parking (as expected for this area). Sip House is new drink shop with Vietnamese coffee options, boba milk teas, and fruit teas that I think adds uniqueness to the very saturated boba shops in the area. Even though they have boba milk teas and fruit teas on the menu, their focus is more toward Vietnamese coffee drinks which I very much appreciate. Located on Brooklyn and 50th st near UW area, Sip House has huge windows which offer tons of natural light. The shop interior is also is so clean and modern with lots of cute houseplants. I ordered Ube Vietnamese coffee and black boba milk tea with pearls. First off, the purple Ube is great with Vietnamese coffee. The drink is light and has crushed ice instead of regular cubed ice. It is more like a latte, very refreshing, and I really like it. Boba tea is not the typical Taiwanese boba that I'm used to, and you can tell that it's made by Viet people. No offense here since I'm also Vietnamese! It's good and different, and I also love the crushed ice! What a lovely shop! I finally got the chance to try this place when I was in the neighborhood and I think it definitely lived up to its hype. Parking is all on the street, but that's not too hard to find in my opinion. The shop offers outdoor and indoor seating-- both of which follow social distancing guidelines. It was one worthy coffee run while in Washington! Im from California and I was recommended to try Sip House by an IG friend. My bf and I got the pistachio latte, the coffee crema, blueberry muffin, and garlic cream cheese bread. Everything was so delicious and unique-tasting. The pistachio latte caught me off guard due to the creaminess and strong flavor. I never thought pistachio and coffee latte would go well together but Sip House got it right! Sip House has a cute small cafe aesthetic perfectly suited for university students studying or meeting with classmates. Drink options are plenty and innovative, with options like ube/pistachio lattes to lychee lemongrass iced teas. Prices are slightly higher than chain cafes on the ave, but not by much (drinks cost ~$6). I ordered the ube latte and it was beautiful and came out within a few minutes. Overall taste was good, however the coffee in the latte heavily overpowered the ube taste, and I couldn't taste much of the ube. read more

They're all great for their own reasons, so try them all out if you love Vietnamese coffee!) Sip House is the one you go to for: - Strong caphe sua da that's a bit in between a caramel latte and the cocoa undertones of Coffeeholic. - Interesting specialty flavors, including ube, pistachio, and red velvet. - An excellent selection of teas. They have ube milk tea if you want ube flavor and don't like coffee. They have teas you can get with ZERO sugar for real (many bubble tea places incorporate sugar in their tea bases, so even "0%" sugar just refers to adding sugar on top of that). - Decaf coffee option (thank goodness bc Vietnamese coffee is too strong for some of us even though we like the taste). - An Instagram-friendly space with Instagram-friendly drinks in vibrant colors. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and I was just amazed by the aesthetics and cleanliness. They have a wide variety of drinks available on the menu. They had a section where they had words in another language with no English translation. So I skipped over that part of the menu and felt like I was missing out on what they might be. I got the hot matcha coffee and it was great, but noticed that the drink was not very hot, and just a little warm. The cream cheese garlic bread was amazing. The texture of the croffle (croissant waffle) I got wasn't bad, but it wasn't sweet at all. Even with the whipped cream and strawberry sauce, it was actually kind of bitter. The strawberry sauce was super artificial-tasting. It would have been better with chocolate instead. Oh Bear's croissant taiyaki is a much tastier version of a croissant/waffle hybrid. read more

I had the mint mojito and DH had the ube latte. The drinks were good!! Someone else mentioned that the mint mojito is like Philz in the Bay Area but I think this one is even better. It is more coffee and less dessert but with stronger mint flavor. I loved it! DH also loved his ube latte and liked it better than the one at Coffeeholic. The drinks were also way more decently priced here. The two shops are similar in that they both use coffee beans from Vietnam, specifically Nguyen Coffee. What was not so great was the service. The woman at the register was pretty cold and rude. She gave me attitude when I ordered a cream puff without specifying which flavor. Well, there was no flavor list displayed, only a cream puff was on display. Then she answered in a rude tone when I asked her what flavors were available. Having a bad day, much? The drinks were not good but the location is nice. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, matcha coffee latte, and strawberry yogurt blended drink. Latte tasted very watery and milky, like the espresso was pulled too quickly. It's a latte, but is crafted like a latte macchiato. Regardless, it lacked depth and balance. The blended strawberry yogurt drink was too sour and too sweet. I would describe it as similar to cough syrup. I have a sweet tooth, but I had to suffer through this one. The cafe itself is clean and aesthetic. The music isn't too loud, and it's mostly students studying in there. The staff was also very kind and friendly. Note that, for some reason, your phone's connection may be very weak inside. None of our phones could get enough signal to do anything, and we all had different phone service providers. This usually happens at places in tall buildings. Overall a cute place but the drinks aren't good. I was disappointed and won't be going again. read more

I have a particular love of Sip House, as it is conveniently located just off the Ave, and was a cozy cafe that I felt like a treat. There was an array of new drinks that I could try just the three months I was in Seattle, which always made it exciting to come back to. There are power outlets and a good amount of seating inside, meaning that there are constantly UW students around here either working or hanging out. The only obstacle was that the default is whole milk, and there was a $0.85 charge for swapping to anything, meaning that those with lactose insensitivity might struggle a little bit. -- C O f f E E -- 1. Viet Coffee with Cheese Cream (HOT!). If you ask for a drink here and intend on drinking it within the first 30 minutes, make sure to ask for warm rather than hot, as when unspecified, the drink burned my tastebuds. The first sip was of a warm cheese foam, which obviously wasn't hot, so I expected the rest of the drink to be about the same temperature. I was wrong, and the scalding hot coffee followed. All in all, it was user error, but the drink felt basically just a latte with cheese cream, so perhaps more easily described as a latte on steroids. -- D R I N K S -- 1. Ube Latte (cold). It kind of just tasted like straight coffee, and maybe there was a tiny aftertaste. Otherwise, I wouldn't really say it tasted like much -- very aesthetic though. 2. Red Velvet Latte (Seasonal) (4/5). This drink was marked on their menu as only being available in one size, but then I was offered multiple sizes, so that worked out. The latte is heavily flavored as chocolate rather than a creamy flavor that I would normally expect -- perhaps it would be more accurate to say: Red Velvet Cake Latte. There was only a slight smidgen of red velvet cream in the beginning, and the intent seemed to be to use the cheese foam as the cream portion of red velvet. 3. Pistachio Latte (3/5). The pistachio straight tastes like pistachio ice cream, and ofc same as all the others, the cream mixed with coffee is super 1 dimensional. 4. Nutella Walnut Latte (3/5). The Nutella walnut latte is a bit too dense and the "foam" is too difficult to suck with the straw. The Nutella also is a bit difficult to drink because it is again too thick and doesn't dissolve into the drink well. Between the cold drinks, the lattes all pretty much the same and focus really heavily on bringing an extremely creamy and chocolate coffee forward drink, like the ube latte. In general, the cheese foam honestly was a bit too much in combination with the base sweetness from the chocolate, even adjusting to half sugar. If there was an option for quarter sugar, that'd be nice. -- P A S T R I E S -- Anniversary Special - The croffles were slightly soft and although the interior had some folds, they weren't crispy enough and thus the pastry lacked the texture of a croissant, and generally just felt like a waffle. 1. Strawberry Cream Croffle (3/5). The strawberry syrup felt runny - it didn't help that the cream was also extremely thin, meaning that the cream melted quickly as the syrup "weighed" down the cream and turned it into a slush quickly. 2. Nutella Walnut Cream Croffle (4/5). The Nutella walnut cream was slightly thicker, which made it feel more like a dessert than the the strawberry cream one. Sip House easily rivals the similar styled Coffeeholic, which is located farther South, and is a more accessible option for UW students -- I can't wait to come back to Seattle and see what new drinks have been created. I would highly recommend Sip House to anyone who's looking for a place to chill in the afternoon, or even to just grab a pick me up. read more

It's Viet-owned and hella aesthetic so BAM that's enough for a 4-star rating for me. But what puts it over the top is: 1) It's WARM. You see how in the photos there are people wearing just a thin long sleeve? 2) It's GREAT for working, with decent wifi and a crazy amount of outlets. Especially with the COVID measures in place, the nearest person to me would be about 12 feet away. 3) Vibes on point AND it's Viet!! Gorgeous, lots of plants, and they serve ca phe sua da with Nguyen Coffee. I guess I'm really digging the vibe because it feels sorta So-Cal-y. 4) If you're like me and can't have caffeine later in the day, ask them to make a hot chocolate with whatever flavors they got. UBE ALERT! I came for the UBE, BOBA and cute decor! Arrived a bit later in the day, but this place was PACKED. Friendly staff, delicious drinks and plants galore! The first time I visited this place was during the summer time after a day in Seattle. I really wanted to try their UBE milk tea tea, but they were out of BOBA! I was a bit disappointed because I am a boba addict and we came here especially to try this drink. Instead we just got it without boba, it was good, but it was definitely missing something. Told myself I would return and give it another shot. Came here again during October before Halloween and the place was decorated with cute pumpkins! Staff was super friendly and even let us bring in our little pup! Drinks we got were Vietnamese latte with ube, ube milk tea with boba & iced ube coffee latte and they discounted us 1 drink for the yelp elite perk! The ube coffee latte has a beautiful gradient & perfect balance between ube flavor & strong Vietnamese coffee. The ube milk tea was amazing and boba chewy & sweet. Just what I was craving! The Vietnamese coffee was strong and just right with a hint of ube flavor. We don't normally get the chance to come to uvillage, but next time I'm in the area I will surely return! read more

A couple of my friends posted on their social about Sip House and it looked super good! I was happy to see another Vietnamese coffee shop in Seattle so of course I had to check it out. Upon arrival, it was very modern and clean. They have tables distanced and seem to be handling COVID well. Since it was my first time coming in, it took a while to order since everything looked good but the cashier at the front was very patient and answered all of my questions. I ultimately went with the mint mojito coffee and my sister got the brown sugar coffee. Flavor-wise I give them a 5/5. Super fresh and yummy drinks and a broad selection! However, coffee flavor is nonexistent. They only have I believe 16 and 24oz and I got the 16oz. One of the workers told me they only put about 15 mls of a shot which is only 1/2 an oz. Typically an espresso shot is 30ml or so. So I feel like I got ripped off for a coffee. It basically tasted like a milky drink with a hint of coffee. So I wasn't too happy about that. Espresso flavor: 1/5. If I'm paying $5-6 for a coffee, it better taste like coffee! Service was great and efficient and very friendly. They're also super flexible and are open to adjusting your sugar levels even after you've received your drink. So I really admire that. I don't like sweet drinks but I also don't like to bitter which I know is hard to ask for but this was perfect. A creamy coffee flavor with just a hint of sweetness, delicious. My friend ordered the ube iced coffee and when I asked her what she thought, she said "I give it a 10/10!" So she really liked it. read more
