Royal Roastery is a roastery offering freshly roasted nuts, baklava, Turkish delight, ice cream,…read moreknafeh, desserts, Arab drinks, juices, and shakes. When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

The desserts here are fun, unique, and very different from what you find at most places. My only…read morecomplaint is the lack of labeling for many of the products. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

The presentation and beautiful box it came in with the different levels to the chocolate itself was unlike anything I have ever seen. They each beautifully decorated like gems and tasted unique with spices like cardamom and saffron. I like that they include a description of each chocolate so you know what you are tasting. Since I told them I would be traveling from Houston to Florida, they packaged my box carefully to ensure it stayed safe and in tack. I've made recommendations to a few of my family members who have ordered from them. I like that they have vegan options as well. Nothing beats going to the store but if you can't, their website is easily accessible. I think it's time to order since my birthday was a few days ago. A gift to myself.

She embraces both South Asian flavors as well as others I believe she discovers and learns about. The chocolate is 10/10. The dark chocolate mocha latte is, dare I say, one of the best in Houston. They are pretty inclusive of a range of holidays and their holiday collections are too cute. There is even limited seating in their whimsical yet elegant shop.

Another wonderful addition to the Meyerland Area! Fabulous places are popping up left and right!…read more This fun shop is locally owned and specializing in sweet treats and coffee! Candy, candy, candy galore! Also, Crepes, coffee, gelato, pastries, macarons, specialty popcorn, specialty chocolates as well as frozen drinks! You can order chocolate from the counter and/or grab a bag and fill it up with all the sweets you desire! There were lots of friendly staff waiting to greet customers. Small seating inside and out (like an icecream shop type seating). I ordered the banana nutella gelato and it was very good. I'll be back for a candy run soon! If you are in the neighborhood, go check them out!

A Truly Delicious Breakfast Experience at The Sweet Spot!…read more I had an absolutely wonderful breakfast at The Sweet Spot--everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was on point! I ordered the Green Chilaquiles and Red Enchiladas, both topped with perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs and served with flavorful beans on the side. You could taste that everything was made fresh from scratch--the ingredients were vibrant, and the flavors were rich and authentic. The owner personally came by and recommended trying the green salsa with the chilaquiles and red salsa on the side--great advice! The green salsa had the perfect kick and complemented the dish beautifully. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambience was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to start the day. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend this gem if you're looking for a homemade, satisfying meal served with heart!

The popsicle itself is good as well. I got the Passion Fruit and Mango popsicle and it tasted great! You can tell they made it with fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices. People working here are very friendly and helpful as well! I just feel bad they are located on a side street that does not get as much foot traffic. When I went in the afternoon with 2 friends, we were the only people there. This feels like a forgotten place, but I encourage more people to check them out because they make some great stuff :)

There's plenty of seats inside with 2-3 employees but they're mostly in the back. There is a bell you can ring to get someone's attention. They seem pretty nice. Pretty clean and simply decorated. They didn't really do an introduction of the place but did answer any questions I had. Their popsicles are decent sized and are made with real fruit/ingredients. They come on a tray with a drip catcher. My kids got watermelon and mixed berry, but it was mostly me who ate the berry one. My kid who had the watermelon really liked it but it was a bit cold for her, so she ate some of it and I stuck it in a cup when we got home so it could melt and she could enjoy later. It has chunks of watermelon interspersed and she found 2 seeds - so Yay for real fruit! She finished it all. The berry one was nice and refreshing, not necessarily too sweet. And hello seeds! My other kid didn't really like it so I had pretty much all of it. He's more of an ice cream lover but he's also the one with multiple food allergies. We didn't partake in anything else but while there, some people came in but just for drinks like bottled water. They serve some ice cream but they don't make it themselves... they don't contain eggs though. Also, all of their popsicle flavors are made separately so there shouldn't be cross contamination. I asked because my youngest has multiple food allergies and he is allergic to a number of the flavors they had. In addition, they also serve snacks, juices, and other things you'd think about as an after school snack or treat. They also cater. Overall, the popsicles were good but not big enough for the $5.15 cost EACH. At the same time, they are a little hefty for my 3 year old but not the biggest one we had. If you're in the area, go ahead and try it out, but it can add up fast as almost everything is $5 and up. But it certainly is convenient for the area! I'm eyeing those freshly made juices and I'm intrigued by that "waffle taco."
