What a fun, unique, and delicious dining experience! I recently went to a private lunch here and had my expectations exceeded by the experience. Before I talk about the food, I have to make a mention of the very cool venue. This is decorated wall to wall with lots of elegant items, making guests feel like they're in a unique spot away from the normal hustle and bustle of the city. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful, and make everyone feel like they're family. This is especially true of chef Jorgina Pereira, who did an amazing job of explaining all the different dishes that we were eating. Pricing for what you get isn't bad at all, considering the extra care taken for procuring fresh quality ingredients and the preparation involved in creating beautifully plated items both at an individual and tray level. I thought everything from the variety of colors of the ingredients to the fruit and vegetable art to nicely selected array of dishes made this a truly special experience. Though I'm not as familiar with Brazilian cuisine as much as others, the fresh ingredients with clear flavor profiles and use of delicious herbs & spices made me an instant fan. After this experience, I feel the need to add this cuisine into my regular rotation as the meal felt relatively healthy despite being very flavorful. One of the surprising things about the meal is how good the sides were. These were clearly not an afterthought as the black beans had an incredible amount of flavor when mixed with beef and pork, like an elevated chili. The basmati rice was infused with a delicious vegetarian both which also mixed well with the vegetarian black bean. The garden salad was presented in a very nice way and the pasta salad was quite flavorful. The brazilian top sirloin (Picanha) is probably one of the best I've had in the area. Surprisingly tender and super flavorful with a lot of grilled onion flavor. The shredded marinated pork butt (roupa velha) was another standout item for me that was slow cooked in a delicious sauce. The portobello mushrooms were grilled perfectly and the mix of coconut milk, sesame oil, and scallions really elevated the dish. I do enjoy mushrooms quite a bit and thought that this was one of the best preparations I've ever had. The chicken a la sinha is chicken tenderloin sauteed with wine and herbs. I really liked the balance of this dish and found that the herbs really stood out and flavored the chicken perfectly. I think based on the many items I tried, you can safely try any entree and enjoy it. The sweet items I tried were also delicious. The coffee is intense and the addition of cinnamon really made it even more delicious. The hibiscus tea was also very refreshing and went well with the entrees. The red velvet with flan was a delicious cake that was very moist as well. The passion fruit mousse was one of my favorite items, just as good as the desserts I enjoyed on cruises. Overall, delicious food and worth a visit if you are looking for something unique, something elegant, or something delicious. You'll fortunately be able to meet all of those needs at the same establishment by dining here.

My first time at Sinha definitely won't be my last! I tried it for lunch with a friend and was immediately blown away by the immaculate space with so much attention to detail and comfortable seating. As for the food, it was incredible! I had the special, which was oxtail, and I finished every last bite, despite already being full from the all-you-can-eat sides! For dessert, we had passionfruit mousse and coffee. Our server was so kind and even showed us different parts of the space, which were equally gorgeous. I will definitely be back for their brunch!

Food is dynamite. 5 stars!!!! Came here for the a birthday brunch celebration. We had a 2pm reservation. Well two parties with similar names booked for the same day which created quite a busy restaurant. The owner made due but it was chaotic. Too many people in this restaurant, made service a bit difficult. I was able to try appetizers and enjoyed the cheese tray sampler. Also enjoyed the tortillas chips and fresh made salsa. For the main meal, so many items to choose from. The main buffet is located on the bottom level. When it was our turn, we moved to the lower level to grab our plate. So many plentiful items. For food the standouts were the sausage, rice/beans, pasta, steak, deviled eggs, shrimps and greens. Other items were good but these were tasty. No complaints on the food whatsoever. I missed out on the fish and that makes me sad. I would love the option to purchase a plate to go so I could savor the dishes that I really love. That sausage (beef and pork) was really fantastic. I would definitely come back here. I had heard about this establishment before visiting and really want to give it another shot. I know that I can give this place a solid 5 stars. Be mindful that the outside area may not be great in Fall/Winter season. The place is BYOB so bring a beverage unless you are content with the Hibiscus Tea, which was flavorful. The owner and staff were extremely professional and ample parking on-site and the nearby street parking.

Amazing & unique experience, hosted by a lovely & charming chef. It feels like you're eating at grandma's house. I brought 2 friends and my boyfriend to Sinha, 2pm on a Sunday and they all loved it. When you arrive, you're brought into the living room area of a house and given small, delicious appetizers - cheeses, jams, rye crackers, salsa, and small empanadas. It feels like a family party. Later, a host corrals people and brings them either to the downstairs and garden seating - both very charming & cozy - where we're taken to choose from a wide assortment of meats & sides buffet style. There are tons of options, and lots of meat. The food was fantastic. After the meal, they offered us coffee, 2 types of dessert, and we all played spanish bingo. Finally, the host took us out to see the garden and we drank coffee and enjoyed that for a bit. Such a cozy & delicious experience - I'd recommend to everyone. The chef is so adorable, charming, and sweet and interacted with everyone throughout the afternoon.

Best experience I have had. It takes about 2 hours. Everyone was so nice, caring, and accommodating. The food was too good, every dish was made with care. I went for brunch and the first floor had appetizers with snacks all around the room. Then downstairs there was a whole buffet with steak, sausage, fish, veggies, ribs, and more

The upstairs. We took a bit long, server told us, waiting on your ride, have a seat upstairs. While you wait.

my second time at Sinhá. Love this place for Brazilian food. The only place to go. About $35, you pick your protein. Choices are chicken, Shrimp Bobo, highly recommend it, Moqueka(cod) steak, or chicken. oxtail sometimes. Salad Bar is off the hook! No joke. Lovely decor, I'll be back definitely. My son's (16) favorite. Have to try the.Guarana soda too. Tab was $80 for two. Includes dessert.

This is a really nice place. It's actually in a typical two flat city apartment converted into a restaurant. It's very inviting and decorative. There is outside seating and in the basement there is seating as well. The main floor appears to be a waiting area. There you can help yourself to water, hibiscus tea (cold) and chips with homemade salsa. There is also bread and cheese. I went for a birthday brunch, there was about 20 of us. We were all seated in the basement. It was nice in the basement, nicely decorated as well. The brunch was Buffett style. Lots and lots of food. We had rice, beans, collard greens, shrimp, beef, lamb, ribs, quail eggs, asparagus, sweet potatoes, and so much more! I had a sample plate basically where I tried all the types of meat, and shrimp, and several sides. Everything was full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The owner was so nice she even joined in singing Happy Birthday with us and than she and her staff sang it in Portugués the language spoken in her home country of Brazil. It was great time. If you want to try some Brazilian food this is a great place to try. It's also a BYOB. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant and street parking as well.

It was quite an experience. The food was yummy and service was so good. All the servers were kind and accommodating. There was also easy street parking available near the house/restaurant. We started with appetizers and then went down stairs for the main. At first it was served to us buffet style and then for second round it was self served. There was one main dessert - red velvet cake/flan and a couple of other mini desserts which were accompanied by espresso/coffee.

Overall Thoughts: Sinha is one of the most unique and intimate dining experiences I've ever had. I went for the Sunday 2-hour, all-you-can-eat buffet at 4pm, which I called 2 weeks in advance to reserve. Everything takes place in Chef Jorgina's home, beginning with communal appetizers on the ground floor. Later, everyone is seated downstairs around tables arranged according to party size, where the buffet and desserts are served. The service is so warm and absolutely top-notch. Chef Jorgina prepares a full, impressive feast every time. The food was overall delicious with many hits (all the yuca, veggie, plantain, bean dishes) and some misses (some of the more meaty dishes). For $49 total including tip/tax, it was worth it considering the sheer quantity and quality of food and the level of care, detail, and warmth that goes into the service and preparation. I literally could not walk afterwards. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.3/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.6/5

Hey Everyone! Happy Spring! It has been a while since I posted a review. (Life has been Lifing.) But I AM BACK, and am very excited to write this review! Sinha, Oh What An Experience! A hidden gem on the Westside of Chicago, well, it may not be so hidden now. This past Memorial Day weekend, it was Sunday in the late afternoon. A group of old college friends and I decided to have dinner at this unique Brazilian style restaurant that we have never been to before. From the Instagram posts, it mimicked a bed and breakfast set-up. We thought this was interesting and ventured to see what the buzz was all about. The moment we got there, guests of the restaurant emerged seemingly happy, satisfied, and needing a nap! "Ok, it's starting to look promising!" Once we entered the residence, we were met by a family style living room and dining area with Brazilian charcuterie boards and hibiscus drinks to pass the time and servers passing around hor dourves/appetizers. We were able to connect with other guests and enjoy each other's company. Everyone was friendly, and when it was time for the main course, we entered into another dining area that made you feel like you were at one of your relative's houses with elegant dinnerware. Oh, this place is Fancy! Before we ate the owner, Ms. Jorgina Pereira, took special time and care to explain the dishes she prepared and what was on the menu. It was buffet style and was DELICIOUS! They had options for everyone, including those who are Vegan. However, I am not. So, I stuck with what I knew.........Meat and everything in between! Everything was all you can eat. Therefore, it was worth the dollars that you spent. But the food wasn't the only items that were worth the money. I give this restaurant 5 Stars because of the entire atmosphere and the way that it made me feel. The owner interacted with all the guests. We played a game together. We cracked jokes. We took pictures. We had fun. We felt welcomed. We felt like we were with family. We felt at home! And you know the saying, "There's No Place Like Home." I LOVED every minute of it! So, I encourage ALL of you to go and experience Sinha'. You will not be disappointed. You will fall in love with the love that is within this place!

Great foodie experience! The welcome greeting at the door , the appetizers, the professional and kind staff, delicious food & drinks, beautiful ambience, and great company made for an amazing day! The food is absolutely delicious. So much food that I can't even mention them all, some of our favorites were the lamb the fish, the ribs, steak, plantain, the greens, rice, and beans and the empanadas were delicious.

    Nice appetizer selection.

I took my mom to Sinha for Mother's Day buffet. I chose this place due to the positive reviews. All of us left happily stuffed with an amazing meal prepared by Chef Jorgina Pereira and her amazing staff. Chef Jorgina is the proprietary owner and chef of Sinha Elegant. The overwhelmingly 20+ dish Brazilian buffet spread is lovingly prepared by the chef and trained staff. On the weekends there are two timeslots (2 and 4pm) for the buffet. We were running a few minutes late due to traffic but chef and the team were able to accommodate us despite the delay. As soon as we got street parking, we entered up the stairs to the elegant home of the chef's 1st floor salon for appetizers and boy were there plenty! Cecelia, a friend of the chef, did an amazing job as hostess for the afternoon being engaging and friendly. When it was time for our meal, Cecelia led us downstairs to the main dining area and introduced us to Chef Jorgina. Chef was soft spoken and humble. Prior to starting, chef explained the content and history of the many traditional Brazilian dishes on the menu and I'm glad she did because a good portion of the food tried were firsts for many of us. I've never had Feijoada, Farofa and Chicken Bobo before and I left loving it. The flavors and textures of Brazilian style food are new to my palette. Chef Jorgina's food is truly unique. Pairing her food with the opportunity to dine in the chef's home felt special and personal. Her food pretty much speaks for itself. My review doesn't do it justice. She recently won this year's Jean Banchet for Best Alternative dining in 2022 and is very much deserving of this award. During warmer months, seating is expanded to the outdoors. She also does catering if you're looking to host a special event. All in all, we left happy, and our experience exceeded expectations.

I went to this place once: I love it and I want to go back. It is such a cozy, homestyle brazilian dining experience that really sells something you can't get anywhere else in the city. The meal starts with apps in the owner's living room basically (and they load you up with food!). You're then herded into the lower floor to the dining area where you basically are able to select from a ton of incredible meat/veg options. I'm still dreaming of the steak/shrimp/pasta to this day, couldn't recommend it more

Everything was amazing and we can't wait to get back and try the branzino. Our bartender Abraham was so nice since he got us seats at the bar, gave us some background on the chef, made excellent recommendations including the Noodles and got us some Guava/Lychee gelato on the house. I had heard great things about Carnivale prior to so please note that prior reservations were already made but regardless, it was all our first times there and we were stoked to finally try this place out. When we first got there, the outside was very unassuming. Some awesome graffiti on the wall (yes, angel wings included) and lots of color which made me so happy! As we entered, we were greeted by lots of colored flora on the walls and the floor. It led to a beautiful lounge where we checked in. The hostess was quite kind and they escorted us to another room that had multiple floors, two I believe. We were sitting in the main dining area where dining tables were set up and the ceiling lights and decorations were super-duper colorful. It was brightly lit and festive. Seriously, the colors alone could make anyone happy and do a serious dopamine overload which was fine with me. We sat down, was introduced to our server, Oscar and then given menu's. I genuinely thought that this place was pretty small initially because it looked small from the outside but boy was I wrong! This place was MASSIVE. But! I digress, now that we had our menu's-- Let the party begin!! We started with the ceviche tasting which included four types of ceviche; shrimp, Yucatan style hamachi, salmon and tuna. All were really good with their own really distinct flavors but our top favorites were the salmon and the tuna. The salmon had a kick while the tuna had a great balance of heat and sweetness. Great way to start of this dinner! My bestie ordered coconut shrimp and smoked mushroom croquettes for her main meal. My hubs ordered the carne asado while I ordered the lechon asada. I also want to add that we ordered Mexican street corn on the side alongside mashed potatoes and Peruvian Jalea. Ah and before I forget, we also ordered our drinks which consisted of a: sangria, margarita, Cotton Candy Cosmo and Salva Honduran Pilsner. All were spectacular and made the night that more enjoyable as well! When we received our food. We were all really enjoyed it as we all shared our bites amongst one another. The coconut shrimp was well breaded and you tasted the coconut as well. The shrimps were large and juicy. The smoked mushroom croquettes were good with a smokey flavor and good breading, however, the breading may have a been a little thick because you couldn't really taste the mushroom,m unfortunately. The carne asado was the star of the show. Well seasoned steak, cooked medium rare which was juicy and succulent. The lechon asado was good. Although I'm not used to eating lechon asado that is covered in sauce, the sauce was super tasty so I didn't mind the tender, juicy pork that was covered in it. I really enjoyed it. I think the only thing that I wish was different with regards to my lechon asado is that I wish it were hotter because it was luke warm when I received it. Other than that, it was....*chef's kiss*. The Mexican street corn was alright, it honestly just tasted like regular corn with mayonaise in it with some cheese. Didn't add anything significant to the meal. The mashed potatoes were soft but not too soft and buttery. They were really good and then the Purvian Jalea was another favorite, super good! The calamari, fish and shrimp with the Purvian Jalea were absolutely delicious; fresh, tasty and well breaded. It was absolutely yummalicious. To top the night off, they gave me a little birthday treat of cotton candy and carmel popcorn. We also had some tres leches which was so yummy because the fruit was fresh and you could taste the milk in the tender cake and then we had the chocolate cigar. The chocolate cigar was also really good, everything except the label was edible, It was smokey, chocolately and delectable. It's presentation was also so creative. We all loved it. Overall, this restaurant is SUPER PRICY but SUPER WORTH IT. I am so glad that I was able to go there to celebrate a special occasion because it would not be a place that I could go to on a regular basis but as much as I wish I was, ya girl ain't rich like that. The service was superb, the employees were kind, the food was fire and drinks were scrumptious. If you're looking for a fun, Latin cuisine inspired, creative, yummy way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion with a fun Latin twist--look no further, that is it! Check it out and you won't be disappointed. Now, I'm sorry for my novel and you may now go back to your normal programming schedule. If you do end up coming here and loving it -- i told ya so ;)

Very nice and what a great entrance it has. The rooms and the different feeling each one gives is pretty awesome. The upstairs is where we were invited to attend the party bc of the invite and it was very lounging and nice. There's a Latin room where we wanted to go but next time we will. Then there a bigger room with lots of dinner tables and another upstairs.

They had a very nice bread server with four individual oval French loaves with very tasty butter. We tried the provoleta with peppers because we like that a lot in Argentina, but this was nothing like it and I guess that was to be expected. There they have a bunch of drier version of provolone and they grill it directly on the grill grates and it doesn't really melt too much. This tasted like standard provolone cheese and it was melted in a bowl. It was tasty, and unfortunately they probably can't get the Argentinian version of the cheese they would need to do it correctly. Our friends got the beef brochette with asparagus and the outside skirt steak and both were fabulous. Well seasoned and grilled and tender. My husband and I got the 2 pound stuffed fillet! It supposedly had ham in the filling but I couldn't taste it or see it anywhere. Unfortunately it had a really strongly flavored sauce along with the portobello mushrooms. We expected something with fewer herbs, which kind of overpowered the beef. It's a shame because the way they described it on the menu is not what came out. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't what we were expecting and unfortunately, the beef flavor was hard to discern because of all of the herbs in the dark brown sauce. We brought our own wine and they didn't even have a corkage fee, which was amazing! We saw other plates go by with copious amounts of tomatoes and onions on salads and the filet mignon platter, it seemed like it was three or four pieces of fillet it had to be nearly a pound for one serving. The prices are pretty steep for the beef and they do charge $10 for sharing, however it might be worth just getting one of the larger plates and spending the 10 bucks to share as opposed to getting an entrée each and taking home lots of food which we did.

The warm table bread and butter was pretty good so it was an effort to keep from eating too much and ruining our appetite. We split a chicken empanada to start which was really good, especially with the chimichurri sauce. For mains, we split the parillada para dos - a large meat platter meant for two. It was came with a little house salad and was a super good deal with all the meat they gave you (we ended up with lunch the next day, too!) The best part of the dish was the short ribs. Super soft and sort of fatty tasting, but not in a gross way, in a really yummy way. We also really liked the chorizo sausage. The flap tastes good, but was a little tougher than the other meat. The beef sweetbread and blood sausage were different, a little bit of an odd texture, but still good.

Service moves at a steady clip, and the meats come around often enough that you never feel like you're waiting for the "good cuts" to appear. The salad bar is its usual sprawling spread, but let's be honest: it's mostly a warm‑up before the parade of skewers begins. Everything arrives hot, carved tableside, and cooked to a consistent medium‑rare unless you ask otherwise. It's indulgent, it's excessive, and it's exactly what you came for. One perk of this location: it's attached to Woodfield Mall. If you forgot to make a reservation, it's a great place to kill time without hovering awkwardly in the lobby. And after dinner, wandering the mall is a surprisingly effective way to walk off the mountain of protein you just consumed. For the northwest suburbs, this spot delivers the full churrasco experience -- energetic, satisfying, and perfect when you want a dinner that feels like an event.

Very nice soups and other appetizers. The meats?! Oh my. Everything from beef, lamb, chicken, and pork. All cooked to perfection! You have a choice in doneness. I think they also offer dessert but we were so satisfied with the meats that there was no room for anything else. Check them out. They have a loyalty program as well.
