Celebrated Valentine's Day here. We had a 6pm reservation but when we checked they were running about 20-25 mins behind. I let the server know I was celiac / gluten free and she said she would bring out an allergy menu. I also could pull it up on my phone. Their website allows you to add your allergy and it will tell you what you can eat. The server wasn't very knowledgeable with GF items. She contradicted what the menus showed so I just asked her to confirm with the kitchen. The buffet was very clean and I felt safe grabbing my items. There are many items that are gluten free. Per the server, I couldn't keep the menu so I just took my phone up with me. Also, the fried bananas, Brazilian cheese bread, and 3 desserts are GF. We opted for the crème brûlée to share. Overall the food was good, but it would be nice to have the staff more knowledgeable. If I didn't have my phone or do my research before, I wouldn't have been able to remember what was GF at the buffet since I couldn't take the menu with me. My cocktail tasted like nothing but sugar, limes, and ice -- no real flavor -- so I didn't touch it. No one ever checked in to ask how our food was, which made the service feel inattentive. The ambience was chaotic and unrefined, more like a noisy kid's party than a nice dinner out. I was shocked there's no dress code -- many guests were underdressed, which really affected the atmosphere. For the high prices, I expected so much more in both quality and environment. I was surprised to see no high chairs at our table since I put it in the reservation notes and they asked about it when they called. Seating is very comfortable and great for staying a couple hours. The salad bar has plenty of great options, such as veggies, cheeses, meats, sauces, breads etc and they also had traditional Thanksgiving options (turkey, smashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce) while we were there. Thanksgiving meal and then some and I don't have to cook or clean?! Don't mind if I do! The protein choices were endless and flavorful - chicken parm, sirloin, flank steak, bacon wrapped chicken, lamb, etc. The quality of food is 5 stars all the way - there is so much to choose from and the options are delicious. There are also sides to share for the table which were soooo good - mashed potatoes, cheesy bread, fries and sweet plantains. All of the staff members were kind and attentive. The salad bar is excellent because it has so much more than just salad such as cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, hot foods like lobster bisque, etc. As for the actual meats, there's a wide variety and the quality is mostly consistent every time we go. Occasionally there's a rare cut instead of medium rare but not a big deal. Filet Mignon is usually dry but was surprisingly tender this time. We usually avoid chicken and pork because those are dry. My personal favorites are picanha, lamb leg & chops, and beef ribs. Flank steak is fantastic too. The free sides - cheese bread, mashed potatoes, fried bananas are all well executed and we each have our favorites. Service is good. Had a wonderful time at this location. Was a good amount of people but good thing we had a reservation. We came in the celebrate a birthday which the birthday boy didn't know about. Overall the restaurant in nicely decorated and everything goes by smoothly whether ordering drinks or getting your food. I had a ginger cocktail that was pretty strong so I had asked for a new one and there was no problem which I appreciated it. My favorite meat from the night was the flank steak, really nicely prepared. The bar salads and other soups were also very good. For the price it's worth it even though prices did go up. My daughter and I wandered here today and just got the salad bar and it was such a steal for lucnch. Kids 2-5 years and under are 5 dollars.
