Anyone with even the slightest bit of curiosity in learning/developing their singing abilities or just want to experience a new journey of self improvement, should definitely take singing lessons from Sherry. I struggle with a lot of insecurities growing up, so taking lessons on singing was really something out of my comfort zone. But I can happily say that taking lessons from Sherry was one of the best decisions I've made for myself. I am not taking lessons with her expecting to become a superstar or a professional singer. I am simply learning for the sake of the experience and to better myself in a new field that is foreign to me. But honestly, I do believe that with more practice and lessons, she CAN make anyone into an amazing singer! Sherry is a very talented, patient, and a supportive teacher! While attending her lessons, I've never felt forced or stressed out and she always said the right things to motivate me to improve. Taking singing lessons was very therapeutic for me because I felt an improvement in my social confidence, outlook, expressiveness, and especially my breathing and pronunciation (I've never knew that I was breathing wrong until after my lessons o_o). Sherry will provide her students with the opportunity to sing in front of an audience after a good amount of lessons. As scary as it sounds, it actually isn't bad at all. Sherry's students are unique and wonderful individuals that are very encouraging of one another. I hope anyone reading this highly considers giving Sherry a chance and fall in love with wanting to learn her art and skills. On unrelated matters, she has the cutest little grumpy cat named Zoe. And her job is to keep the students company while they learn how to pitch an octave. read more

I met Sherry about a year ago when I was looking for a singing teacher to help coach me into performing for my husband on our wedding day. Over the last year, Sherry has become not only my singing teacher, but a cherished mentor and a dear friend. Sherry is a top-notch instructor who genuinely loves what she does. Every class she is keen on providing me with the attention, skill and encouragement I need to help me achieve my goals. I love her teaching style because it is a mix of method, warm-ups, practice and fun. What I love most about working with Sherry is that she is great at introducing techniques at incremental points over the course of our lessons so I never feel overwhelmed at one time, and am always seeing achievable results. She also provides great honest and constructive feedback along with a ton of motivation so I feel she helps to push my potential without ever making me feel defeated (something you don't often find with singing coaches). Another great thing about Sherry is that every quarter she also puts on a recital giving her students the opportunity to test their skills in front of a crowd, which is immensely helpful if you're trying to conquer stage-fight. Sherry has an incredible positive vibe around her and she exudes calm, which has really helped me to lay back and just enjoy the art of singing and life in general. Going to Sherry and singing is now my ultimate form of therapy and every time I go to class, even if I'm feeling anxious or agitated before class, I always leave feeling happier and light as a feather when I'm done. With Sherry I've found that I can really conquer any fear I put my mind to. She has done numbers on my confidence, which is something I didn't always feel I had. Needless to say, I owe a lot to this amazing teacher who has made an incredible impact on my life. read more

I went to Sherry when I was selected to sing in front of 500 people. Since I have never been on stage before, I need a great professional coach to help my stage presence and to improve my voice in a matter of weeks. Sherry was very kind, supportive and knowledgeable. Sherry is an amazing instructor! Her lessons are fun, enjoyable and more importantly easy to grasp. Over the past few months she has shared valuable tips and pointers which helped me improve my voice and breathing in a very short amount of time. Her cheerful personality and her enthusiasm to see her students improve has all the more inspired me to give my best every time. Upon my request she recently helped me to master, Song of Durin by Clamavi De Profundis (complete edition) and made it seem that it was a piece of cake! Cheers! read more

I was looking for an activity my daughter could do that would develop a sense of discipline, build self-confidence and give her an artistic outlet, and I decided to try singing lessons. I'm so glad I found Sherry because she helped her do all of those things. She is an extremely supportive teacher, and super patient and kind. My daughter is so excited to take her weekly singing lesson and practices all the time. It's fun for her and at the same time she is learning so much. She's always been a little shy, but Sherry has been inspirational to her, and she's been building confidence and courage. read more

A couple of years ago, I started challenging myself to do something new. For 2019, I decided to challenge myself to get back into singing. I previously taken lessons in my 20s, but Sherry has really helped me improve! She has helped me listen to little nuances in songs that I never really noticed. My voice is stronger and my breathing is improving every week! She also has recitals which I would encourage anyone to participate. I'm sure a lot of us have done karaoke, but it's not the same. I think you get so much more from Sherry's recital! After doing my first recital, I felt like I accomplished a big goal and faced my fear of performing in front of people. If you're reading this review thinking about contacting Sherry, do it! Do it for yourself! Even if all you want to do is sing by yourself in the privacy of your own home! If singing brings you joy, then you owe it to yourself to fine tune your instrument and really hear how great you sound! It takes a little work, but it's the kind of work you'll love doing! Sherry can help you! She really can! read more

Sherry is an amazing singing teacher! I always get coached with her before all my musical theatre auditions, and she always delivers exactly what I need in order to walk into my auditions with confidence. Ive been coaching with her for the last few years, and she is extremely detail oriented, and precise every single time and knows exactly how to bring out the strengths in me. My background stems from extensive training in NYC, and being a Juilliard grad, I still learn so many new things from Sherry each and everytime I work with her. We LOVE Sherry! My 7-year old daughter loves singing and always looks forward to her singing lessons. She has overcome her shyness and gained so much confidence that she even entered her first school talent contest and performed! Sherry is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and utmost professional. One of the best things is that she is extremely talented not only with voice, but with multiple instruments (Piano and Violin)! She accompanies my daughter on her favorite songs (songs from "Frozen!") and she teaches the technical aspects of singing, as well as the style and feel of the music. I highly recommend taking lessons from Sherry! She is not only a fantastic instructor, she has much experience in the music/acting/theater and performance industry in both Hawaii and California! My teenage son started singing lessons with a talented man who was not very "in sync" with kids. We switched to Sherry and she has been great! She is kind, explains things in a non-threatening way, tailors the lesson to my son's needs, and gently guides him to do better. My son wants to be in musical theater, which is Sherry's specialty. She has great rates and has been very understanding with conflicts and rescheduling. I couldn't recommend her more highly. read more

Sherry is amazing! My 13 year old son has been studying with Sherry for a year and has greatly improved in technique and performance ability. In the first half of every lesson, she teaches the Bel Canto style, which helps the student develop vocal quality and range. The second part of the lesson focuses on song repertoire and performance. Aside from being a great teacher, she is kind, patient and fun! Best of all, she hosts quarterly showcases, where all of her students get to perform in front of family and friends. read more

My son has been working with Sherry for over a year and has had a wonderful experience. Sherry's teaching style is supportive and works well for my son, who had little formal singing experience before starting with her. She is kind, but also know how to get her message across and more importantly, for that teaching to stick! My son consistently feels confident in what he's learned with Sherry and her technique works, he has grown in his singing with her. She is professional, starts and ends on time and is always ready for the lesson. She also preps the overall stage presence and how to prepare for a performance with warming up exercises and stage movement. Sherry also hosts recitals, which are a great chance for her students to perform and listen to her other students -- Sherry is a great vocal instructer. We highly recommend her! read more

Sherry is a great teacher and really "knows her stuff." She is a sweet person, very encouraging and helped me to feel comfortable and not so self-conscious during my lessons. I am not a professional singer but taking singing lessons was a long-time personal goal - simply to improve the voice I do have. I moved away so I wasn't able to take lessons beyond a few months - but I learned so much in a short time. I am so glad I selected Sherry to be my teacher and I am very grateful to her. read more
