This was my first time visiting this theater for a performance of "A Christmas Carol". This has always been a favorite play of mine. The venue is such that there's no bad seats, and acoustically speaking the sound is great. It doesn't sound like it's ringing or echoing. Now for the production, I loved it! This play always hits hard for me, but in a good way. The cast was great and the staff who helped put it together did a phenomenal job putting it together. I will definitely be back for other productions.

I saw my first play from A Noise Within tonight and I absolutely loved it! It was their production of "The Skin of Our Teeth," a play I was very familiar with after having read it multiple times in high school and having even memorized the opening monologue. But amazingly I'd never seen it staged. I thought this production handled the absurdity really well and cleverly conveyed the natural disasters by leveraging multimedia technology. The cast was largely really strong, especially the performer who portrayed Sabine who's really the star of the show. (I also loved the singers.) The layout of the theater means there's not a bad seat in the house. I was literally in the back row and had no complaints with my view. I love that you can bring your drinks and snacks from the bar into the theater. The building the theater is located in is so nice and it's just lovely to be there. It's also conveniently located with easy parking. What a treasure!

This is a nice little theater. It's small, so there don't appear to be any "bad" seats. The seating is in a thrust style. It's intimate because of the size and the proximity to the stage. The people who work at the snack bar are friendly and efficient. Everyone who worked in the theater seemed very pleasant. The production we saw was well acted. The staging was done quite well. We saw a darker August Williams play, which felt like it was based on a Greek tragedy. This place is about an hour from our home. I would definitely come back because it was a thoroughly pleasant experience.

The Theater: Very nice lobby/waiting area, many seats available. They do sell snacks and drinks. Mid size theater, every seat is a good seat to see the stage. Good sound system. The A/C is a bit strong, a little chilly inside. The Parking: There are a few reserved handicap parking right in front of the theater. Free parking at Metro parking structure, about a few minutes walk to the theater.

My friend ordered tickets in advance not realizing it was Easter Sunday. When friends and family ask what I had planned I replied..."the theatre" haha But after a champagne Easter brunch, I went exhausted.....but from the start I was enthralled. This production is stunning like so many plays I seen here. I highly recommend. Carry-on Voice Within

This was my first time at A Noise Within! I came for a book event, but they have regular theatre shows too. It's a relatively medium sized theatre with a bar and accessible restrooms. The lobby has fun textiles, aesthetic wall decor, and colorful chairs and tables. To enter the theatre, you can head down the stairs or via the elevator. There's truly no bad seats and I had such a fun time. I'll definitely be back for their theatre shows.

Saw Sweeney Todd with a group of friends. The stage has a beautiful layout, and the fact that we were in the first row made it feel more immersive. Actors and production value was 10/10. I think they have a discount on tickets if you buy in a group too. Hope to go back soon!

Best musical I've seen today! Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Intimate theatre where every seat is the best seat in the house. I felt the blood splatter upon thy pie!

VIEW from H118 (last row) right side....truly not a bad seat in the house

So far, I've seen two plays, "Man of La Mancha" and "A Christmas Carol" and I can't say which was more impressive.

I was looking for a studio offering modern dance classes in the 626 because I really needed to go…read morePina Bausch for a few moments in my life; the feelings/urges strike around the winter solstice. But I wanted a jump start into it of a class in a group setting. I love love love that this place as a non-profit, offers free movement healing classes for TBI, stroke, Down syndrome, and Parkinson's. A class is $14, well worth it - seriously, take my money. A package deal is 70ish? And there's currently a Yelp $200 for $240 deal for the well committed. Their website is useful and informative as to their very accommodating schedule (another reason I decided to stop by here). You can park at a nearby garage structure for 90 minutes free and classes are an hour average so it works out perfectly. They are diagonally across from Panache Bridal next to a parking lot (not to be confused by a parking structure). I got here a bit late (15 minutes) but was welcomed warmly...some dance studios like this one in mid-Wilshire I used to go to for modern can get pretty serious about it (for a brief/awkward moment anyway). They were super chill the whole time. The instructor's energy is laid back, informative, open, encouraging and vibrant. Expressionism is healing. Give this place a shot. Will definitely make time to be back, occasionally, when the mood strikes again.

Wicked Lit! Went…read morelast year for the first time and then twice this year to see both Production A (The Unnameable, the Chimes, and Cask of Amontillado) and Production B **new** (Casting the Runes, A Ghost Story, and The Body Snatcher). I brought a bunch of people with me to see Production A this year. It was amazing as always... Note to newcomers - if you are meeting people at the event, make sure that all members of your group receive the same color sticker on their program. You want to stay together in the same group. Also note that they have coffee, hot apple juice (which they insist on calling cider), and a few candy bars. $2 each or 2 items for $3. Bring cash, a jacket as you will be outside for a time, and comfortable shoes for walking and standing for short periods. The plays are immersive as you walk following the characters and story progression through the creepy and eeriliy lit long hallways of the mausoleum... and through the cemetery across the street. Most of the acting is great. Last night was unusual because they had BOTH productions going on at the same time. I was concerned that we would be running into each other in the corridors and we would lose the integrity of the individual plays with competing noise in the background. They actually handled it really well and there was only about 5 minutes when I was distracted by noise from another play. Production B was very good for the most part. I will not forget the images from Casting the Runes and The Body Snatcher. The Ghost Story however, started out GREAT but then the second half was kind of ridiculous. What annoyed me most was the fact that because it wasn't as long as the other plays and they all had to end at the same time, the guide read us "The Raven" as we walked back. Now, I take my Poe seriously and want it done right or not at all. This guy read it from the folder, lost his place a few times, used a voice that I assume was supposed to be funny (and wasn't). It just wasn't done well. If they HAD to fill up that time, (and I hope they read this review) they should have the poem read at the original site and read seriously by someone who can do it properly... by candlelight... with some thunder, rain, and lightning in the background. I was not only disappointed, but mad that it had been done so poorly. I could have read it better (and not from a folder). All in all, it's still a Halloween favorite and the location is fantastic and used well.
