So glad I decided to stop by here. I got the thai iced coffee with boba and it was delicious. The texture of the boba was a little off but I enjoyed the coffee because it was sweet and not strong. I also ordered the pad thai noodles and they had a great flavor. The noodles had a sweet and sour taste but the server told me you can customize it to add spice. More of a 2.5 but rounding up because this place a small family owned business and their food can be good, just not consistent. On my last visit I ordered the Pad Thai and opted for the lunch special, which I'm glad I did because it was mostly inedible. The noodles were absolutely stuck together and seemed old and stale. Maybe I got yesterday's batch of leftovers? Tasted more like the day before. The portion size was pretty small but I didn't care because I threw it away anyway. A couple weeks later here I was, wanting Thai, and wanting to give them another try - I ordered again. This time I went with the chicken curry. Pictures online looked great and remembering my experience with my tiny tub of Pad Thai I opted for the regular entree size. I don't know if this is their entree size but it's pretty sad. Couple that with 4 grossly underdone potato pieces and I'm over it. I know Covid is hitting everyone hard but I can't say I'll be back. The quality of Singha has gone down so much. read more

I ordered online and upon arrival I was the only customer waiting. I could see my order, but was blocked by tables. So I waited and waited. Finally someone noticed I was there. I had the panang chicken, and I can say that it was just okay. There were maybe four bell pepper slices. Taste straight from Thailand! I definitely enjoyed my food here because their flavors are so on point! Their papaya salad is the best papaya salad here in town and the spiciness is just perfectly balanced but if you are scared with chili try not ask only a bit because the mild got that good spiciness. Their pad thai has always been the best, very savory sauce while the Kai Pow Gai/ Kai Dao is awesome and very tasteful and so good with the rice top over with the fried egg but soft yolk! Staff works in cohesion, never skipping a beat. There's always somebody if you need something. Very friendly, comfy environment. I don't know why but but despite clearly being in a restaurant, feels like you're at someone's house as a guest because of the homemade taste of the food and the hospitality of the hosting. That's my reasoning, trying to figure out why, anyway. Start off with the appetizer combo. It is actually quite a bit for just two people, let alone one person. Tom Yum Kai is a tasty, light filler as long as you go small bowl. Spicy Noodles is a more universally doable heat level and very tasty. Singha Spicy is really good and my favorite, but that heat creeps up on you. I'll admit I had a small cough for a minute before I acclimated. I was like, "ah, this isn't spi--*cough!*" Haha! It's not insane hot, just snuck up on me. I swear! ;) The trick is to not treat the heat like it's broth. It's not. It's seasoning. Combo it with your rice or separate on to a dish. Really good choice that I recommend. Gotta try this place, and not just if you like Thai. read more

I have to take a star off. The Pad Thai at a Thai place HAS to be good and it just is not. Gave them another shot a year later as I actually know people that don't mind this place. Some like it. I prefer my Thai to have more flavor - brightness, tangy-ness, spiciness. It had none of that and my dish was ordered extra spicy. Request was ignored this time. The noodles are dry, overcooked. No hint of a sauce! The shrimp were also overcooked and freezer burned. The dish does not even come with lime. Had 3 bites and gave up. It could have great potential if the business would just read the reviews and learn from what people are wanting! The blandness is a theme. Service to-go was fine and the dish does have a decent presentation. Going to give it one more shot and next time try a different dish. Maybe pineapple fried rice? read more

Based on my first Uber eats order I am highly impressed with the quality of food as well as the flavor! I highly recommend the Thai eggplant with basil and chicken along with the mango and sticky rice with extra sauce. Got some good Thai food delivered to our hotel room. The food was good. And properly spiced to our specifications. We ordered 3 dishes. Eggplant Basil was probably our favorite. Our Pad See Ew was one of the better renditions we have had recently. It needed more broccoli though. Green curry was tasty, but again, could have used more vegetables. It's nothing to write home about. I had the Tom yum(bowl): wasn't sour enough. I followed that up with their pad se eww; and it was just ... whelming. Not good or bad. What was the saving grace for this place was the mango sticky rice. That was really good! I like when it is actual white rice with just simple coconut cream with rice and mango (none of that compact colored rice stuff some of the other Thai places do). It was delicious!!! Sad what can happen in 2 years. I ordered from them a couple weeks ago. They were set up for social distancing when I walked in, the dining room was blocked by 3, 6 foot tables. Okay this is good. I gave her my name and after a while came out with my order. During that time I noted that the large container of wet wipes were out of the customer's reach, keeping them for employees only. She returned with my order and I waited for her to bring my bill back. She came back with no mask or gloves, and a communal ink pen for me to sign the bill (that's just why I always carry my own) When I returned to work, I did not get chopsticks as requested, there was a plastic fork that was so cheap and bent so much I could not get the stuck together noodles out of the box, it just bent. I retrieved one from my desk drawer, and tried the first bite. It was not spicy like I'd requested either, it was bland, nor was the tofu fried like I had asked. But the worst, worst thing of all was that the dish was so greasy! When I took a bite my face and lips were covered with red grease, literally it was dripping with oil, not sauce, oil. If it had been on a plate it would have been floating in oil. There was so much on it I put the lid askew and poured it off, lots of it. Yuck. It was crappy food carelessly made by someone that didn't care. I'm done with this place, it's not a good place to eat anymore (it's been sliding but still okay because it was familiar). If the younger generation are going to be taking the place over, it will be closed, soon. And I don't care, because they don't. read more

A really pleasant dining experience ... the food was delicious, and the service (what earned Singha Thai the fifth star) very warm and attentive, even though I was one of those annoying customers that rushed in right before closing. Great menu. A lot to select from. I loved that you could order a single serving bowl of soup (some restaurants only serve the large / hot pot size), and I ordered my favorite tom kha gai - I probably spelled that wrong - it's the coconut spicy soup with chicken, mushrooms, cilantro, lemon grass. Delicious and rivaled the fancy / over priced thai restaurants in LA. I also got the green curry (I LOVE GREEN CURRY), and a side of steamed veggies. Thai curries, like indian curries are very, very saucy. I can make any curry dish last for at least two meals by adding steamed veggies. I would have gotten rice if I wasn't going to get my spicy noodles. My favorite dish was the spicy noodles - thick, flat, rice noodles. They are muy S-P-I-C-Y!! I love spicy foods and order spicy dishes routinely, but even this was a two glass of water spicy. Did I mention, the noodles are spicy? Despite the heat factor, they were just delicious, and as I said, my favorite part of the meal. Not a fancy place by any means - but very comfortable. It appeared to be a family owned restaurant which added to it's warmth. Well worth a visit. This is my first visit to a Thai restaurant here so I have no comparison, but I can see why others find this the best Thai food in Bako. read more

The main entree i chose Was chicken curry and it comes with rice, the Taste was intense, but if you are in good appetite to eat, dont come here for lunch special coz you will be very disappointed. It was discouraging to be served as little as this, it's absolutely not suited for adult neither for youngsters, maybe for a toddler. I live in San Francisco, and knowing this city is known for outrageous sky rocketing prices , surely you ll be served good size for $8! Meal!! Reasonable amount! We love their pineapple fried rice, to their drunken spicy noodles and of course cant forget the vegetable egg rolls with their sweet and sour sauce diced up cucumber.
