We found a fabulous option for her, where she could have all of her own furniture. My brother insisted on moving her bedroom on his own so she could be checked out of the hospital faster. I BEGGED him to let me hire professional movers (and pay for it) and he got angry and insisted on doing it himself. So on top of moving my mother's stuff, I had to ask Meredith to now take two pieces of furniture (that my brother damaged beyond belief in his DIY move efforts) to a furniture repair location - which he happily accommodated. Jim is prompt, reliable, polite, efficient, kind, good humoured and just great to work with - AND his pricing is very reasonable.

What we got was 2 movers arriving nearly 3 hours late. Apparently even when we asked for the first appointment of the day, they still managed to book someone else before us. When you have a small window to move 3 hours makes a huge difference and has a frustrating domino effect on everything. Not the worst experience, but also not the best.

(Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. They also strove hard to gain our business even giving us an awesome rate. In the end the move took longer than thought and they had more people come out, but maybe we moved more stuff too. Everything was handled very smoothly, and they take credit debit and e-transfer which is awesome. They also packed for us the day before which helped tremendously.

I'm seriously writing this to look out for you…read more Here's the short form, the company's constantly breaching the employment standards act for BC, not only that but they are definitely anything but professional. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There's some major issues within the company they hire without any proper interview nor do they make you sign any forms. They do not pay their workers well and offer no overtime. They also threaten workers with pay deductions. They also fish for reviews constantly. Not only that they will quiet fire employees. Also note they do not provide workers with any formal training or proper handling techniques. Drivers are hired without their drivers abstract being reviewed or even proof of a class 5 license. The company promises unrealistic quotes on work, and will purposefully withhold items until payment is received. If something is broken their first thought is to attempt to hide it as best they can to avoid giving you a discount or resolving the matter properly. Also note if you do find damage to your property the manager will actively make it difficult for you and try to evade your questions and a proper discount. Allegedly within their contracts they say that you must write a good review (despite if they did a terrible job) of the company or they will attempt to charge you. The workers themselves are none the wiser so it's not worth taking your frustrations out of them most of the time they'll get reprimanded if the customer is difficult. Again PLEASE do find a different company and if you must use this one I urge you to be very skeptical and read everything of the contract.

" by 11am the next morning I received no quote, so I called cody again and he sounded like he was sleeping or like he was doped up and drugs. he said he will email me the quote by 2 pm that day. 2 pm went by and I did not receive a quote from him so I texted him at 4 pm. Nothing So I went to a concert that night, and came home at 11:30 am and there was no quote from cody. So I texted him with an appropriate piece of my mind, and explained to him how he made himself look blatantly unreliable and that I would never hire him or his father's company nor would I recommend papas moving to a friend or to anyone. cody was ridiculously unprofessional. We used Mountain Movers to move a small household of vulnerable furniture and loads of boxes, bags…read moreand other stuff. They were punctual and the courteous, well-trained, muscular four-man team, headed by Quincey, were a pleasure to work with -- strongly recommended. Issues that we had with this move (which may not apply to you) are that (1) the detailed, important briefing that I had sent to the owner ahead of time was not relayed to the team, so they arrived unaware of the critical loading and unloading order earlier requested and agreed, and (2) our request that a dozen old pine drawers be individually shrink-wrapped and carried separately was brushed aside in favour of shifting their respective pieces of furniture with the drawers still in place. The result of (2) is that we are still sorting out the jumbling of drawer contents that we had hoped to avoid.
