I purchased tickets for their fireworks show on June 29th after scouring the internet to find…read moresomething that wasn't canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic. I drove 3 hours down only to discover the lot completely empty. I tried calling their office, their voicemail box was full. There's no other way of contacting them besides their social media pages. No mention of the cancellation on their website. No mention of it on their Twitter. The only mention was on their Facebook page. The day before I had purchased my tickets. The responsible thing to do would have been to send a notice to people who had purchased tickets (e-mails are required for purchase) or to close down their site, post a notice or turn off ticket purchasing. I tried reaching out to them on Facebook to get a refund. It shows they read my message but chose to completely ignore me and give no response. So 3 hours driving wasted, $45 spent for nothing, and a ruined Independence Day celebration is all I have to show.

Great option for family friendly entertainment. The Grizzlies are a college summer league. I ordered tickets online and they were, dare I say "dirt cheap". Will call has your name written down and handed mine over without even asking for ID. I guess I knew who I was. The season tickets in the covered section go pretty quickly each year. General admission is bleacher seating. We saw the Grizzlies play the Bananas (yes, you heard correctly) and it was fun. They shot off a pretty good firework show on July 3rd. Concessions were very reasonable. A tallboy of AMB will run you $5. Parking fills up quickly but people park in grassy areas along the road to make a faster escape after the game!

Merch tables were sparse, which created crazy, long lines. The city did an awful job blocking off streets and making access to and from the stadium a nuisance. Knockoff t-shirt vendors were everywhere after the concert.

Dad and I had the opportunity to see the Panthers take on the Saints. While the action was a dud, the stadium itself is one of the better ones in the NFL. Sitting in the lower 100 level area at around the 20 yard line, I'm impressed with the stadium noise and ease of navigation. It is within walking distance from the downtown area and the entrances are spread out that allow for easiness to enter/exit the premise. A few attractions here such as the Sam Mills statue add to the mystique of watching an NFL game here. As for concessions, the food isn't anything to write home about as you get your typical peanuts/hot dogs/soda stuff. Tall beers run for about $11-12 here which is lower than some other stadiums I've been to. As for parking, get a parking pass in the garage as your vehicle is secure and exiting the garage is pretty easy once everything dies down. Best bet is to uber/lyft here or hang in the parking lot and tailgate. I'd be open to attending another game here or maybe a concert. Not bad Charlotte.

You cannot beat the Friday night dirt track racing at Carolina Speedway! My son and I have been…read morecoming to Carolina Speedway for the past few years and I'd highly recommend this track to any racing fan! This dirt track has similar racing to the dirt tracks you might have seen other areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. You will find this track very well managed and operated. Things that stand out for me include: - There is plenty of free parking and it's easy to get in and out. - Tickets are not that expensive (~$20) and kids 11 and under get in free! - There is plenty of seating and you are not tightly packed in. Bring your blanket, cooler, and spread out! - The Concession Stand and "Sugar Shack" both have great food at good prices. I've found the food at this track to be the best of many of the other tracks in the area! - The prayer and invocation at the start of the race is authentic and caring. - The announcing is on point, informative, and loud enough to hear. - You feel safe as there are many friendly fans. You also see friendly police officers stationed nearby in case there is ever an issue. Paramedics are also staffed to handle any issues on the track. - About an hour into racing they have an event called "Kids Meeting Time" where the kids in attendance are asked to gather near the concession stand. They then get free candy thrown out from the track mascots: Mudwagon the Dragon or Captain Carolina. My son loves this!!! - The track is well maintained, safe for drivers and fans, and seems great to race on. - And, most importantly, the racing is excellent, fast paced, and exciting! We enjoy all the divisions and there always seem to be a lot of cars in each division. I've referred to Carolina Speedway as a "gem" in Gaston County and every time I come out with my family we have a blast!!!
