I've been taking my kids to Clarks Creek since it opened. While this park does have some pluses…read morethere are minuses. The bathrooms are almost always nasty, they either don't have toilet paper or don't have paper towels to dry your hands. If it's the summer time and you're taking your kids for the splash pad, bring water shoes. The floors are disgusting. The trashes get overflown and the flies are everywhere. I don't know who thought it was a great idea to have metal slides with no shade but if it's a peak summer day, you're not gonna want your kids going down those slides, especially if they've got shorts on, their butts will get fried. Also, not sure whose idea it was to have the wooden rocking toy thing for kids because those did not last long. The handles broke after a year. When it comes to usable things for kids to play on at this park, the options are extremely limited. I would've loved to see something that kids could actually climb on and slide from that wasn't meant to be poor installation art. The main thing our kids do when we're there is swing on the only two swings climb up in the big web net thing and roll down the turf hill. The only well-kept areas in this park are the Pickleball courts and the dog park. There's definitely ample parking. There's a community garden that you can look at. If you come at the right time when the figs are ripe, you can pick them right off the tree so that's nice.

My husband & I enjoy the tennis, esp. the clay courts. I started with the beginner lessons but played singles for a Weddington team at a USTA Southeastern Tournament last summer. Tennis lessons and socials are affordable, friendly, and fun. You can play on the level you desire. You don't have to be a member to take lessons. Mike Murphy is pleasant & runs the club which boasts affordable annual fees. (Since we joined, the club has updated bathrooms, the pool area, added tennis courts and another outside bathroom and viewing area.)

I love that this place feels so communal. They have tournaments and different events you can sign up to participate in. The place is clean and well kept. We will definitely be back soon!

Kings Mountain you have a gem here! The Yard is AWESOME! Thank goodness we have a facility like…read morethis in the area. To find anything close to this you'd have to travel to Charlotte or farther. Even batting cage facilities like this in Charlotte don't have a golf simulator, Pickle ball, fitness classes, basketball, HITTRAX and an indoor soccer area all in one spot! Not to mention they have a lounge area with a big TV to keep you entertained while your waiting on your son or daughter to get in the reps they need. You can rent out time slots for various training areas, or even schedule to have your team use the facility. We showed up a half hour before they closed and the parking lot was packed with cars. I thought there was no way anyone would be there on a late Wednesday night, boy was I wrong! They currently have some weekend events of small group training with local professionals for Softball/Baseball. Friday nights they have 'Fun Nights' for the youth to come have pizza and watch a movie or enjoy the various parts of the facility while the parents hang out or they can go out for a dinner date for a couple hours. (Imagine that, a date with your wife!) Forget Chucky Cheese, you can even rent out the facility for a birthday party! I was able to chat with owners for a little bit and they are awesome locals who just had a dream to do this and the opportunity presented itself. I'm excited to see what happens in the future for them and I'm glad we have such a great resource for the youth and college players locally to use. I hope they continue to grow and someday even offer equipment sales, even if its a small selection of accessories such as bat grip, gloves, etc. that would be great! You will definitely get your steps in there lol. I didn't have access to the clubhouse but from what I could see it was a beautiful building.
