The Spectrum Center is honestly one of the best stadiums I have ever been to. We were here for a Hornets game and our hotel was right across the street. It was super convenient to be so close to the stadium so we didn't have to deal with parking. The entrance was easy to go through and the stadium was easy to navigate. The seats are world class! They're so comfortable and the leg room was nice! Being 5'10", it's hard to find stadiums where I don't feel crammed into my seat. Because this was a basketball game, I can't really review the acoustics. However, it was loud and the music playing on the speakers was clear as day. Concessions were average in price, exactly what you expect to pay for a game. Spectrum Center 10/10 read more

I was in town for the Cardi B concert and the Spectrum arena was probably the easiest arena to navigate. With thousands of people waiting outside it only took like 15 minutes to get in. We prepaid for parking, so once we located the lot we easily found a spot in the 12 floor garage; which was right across from the arena. All the staff was friendly and helpful, from the outside to the security helping on the inside. Even the food and drinks were a pretty decent price. The lines at concession were not long. They have a very good set up here. read more

I highly recommend! They have Fan Favorites $2 options for snacks and drink options! Which is excellent for families to have something affordable while enjoying a game! New decor is very nice and I love the Bell Photo Selfie! Please go and I hope you enjoy. Check out the pavilion while you're there! read more

Great arena! The dj kept the crowd moving while the game was going on! Security and checking in was fast and easy! Very close to the parking lot! Getting in and out of arena was probably the fastest of any arena I have been to. The problem come when getting out of the parking lot. They have to get a better system. It took us about 30 minutes to exit the lot...Ridiculous! But inside the game was cool! Would go to another game! Sorry they lost! read more

Staff is so fantastic. Please be aware of the bag policy before showing up to make your guest experience more enjoyable. From my experience, the food options are different based on the event; the last time I was there for an event (Sunday night concert) the food options were very basic and not very food allergy friendly. I've loved the upgrades to the seats and layout and look forward to sports and entertainment events here. read more

Call this the Nate Land review. It was Ben's 40th bday gift so we made it an occasions with a a pre-show dinner at STK. I've not been since the completed renovation and the upgrades were considerable. Especially the ease of entry & exit. More staff to direct crowd flow into proper lanes for metal detector and scanning of phones for tickets. It was packed, had to be capacity near 19,000 to see Nate who sold out two shows 11/20 & 21. The directional signs to concessions and facilities were well marked and the crowd flow was organized and moved quickly. We sat in section 210 which were good as the stage was in the center of the arena and there were multiple big screens to view. There was only one little hiccup and that was finding our seats. I'm somewhat vision challenged and as we go to our section there was an attendant there and I told her row 8, seats 11 & 12. She motioned for us to go right in and we soon discovered the rows are LETTERS not numbers. We were in row 'B' which looks like an 8 when you wear readers. All in all it was a great show hosted by Nate's opening MC Julian McCullough with two other comedians doing short sets. It was clean, it was funny, hitting on current topics like AI and relatable relationship humor like going to relationship counseling to make sure you don't 'lose each other' in a whirlwind period of his career and life. Ben was entertained and laughed throughout and afterwards said 'thanks Dad, that was awesome, I laughed so hard' read more

I attended a Hornet vs ATL hawks game at the Spectrum center. This was my first time attending a Professional NBA game. I found the staff here to be helpful. They have a strict bag policy. Be sure to keep the stadium guidelines at the forefront of your mind or you will be turned around if you don't. . I had extremely decent seats where I could see without straining or relying on the big screen. The game was engaging, fun and full of energetic Hornets fans. A fun experience and I'm looking forward to going again. As a NC native I couldn't help but root for the Hornets. I thought they did a great job! read more

I liked this venue. The metro and bus stations are close by. The staff walking around explaining the new bag policy were friendly. We attended the Kpop group, Twice's show. The merch counter moved very quickly. Of course, the merch was pretty pricey. I believe the venue is cashless and there were some really good food options. I saw Freddy's and Chick-Fi-La. There were a lot of beverage vendors. The show started a little late, but it wasn't too bad. The sound was good and the seats were comfortable. We were on the upper level and I don't think there was a bad view on the whole arena. I enjoyed the concert. read more

My friend and I recently visited the Spectrum Center for a Hornets game. The arena is located right in the heart of Uptown (what Charlotte calls their downtown area). The stadium is well lit and clean from the outside. Once inside, the arena is large and open. There are ample food and drink counters so people don't have to wait in long lines. The bathrooms are also large and clean to avoid lines. Our seats were in the middle section (200s) but we were able to see the court without issue. Overall, this is a great arena! I'd def visit again. read more

Attended multiple concerts and shows here and as always it can get hectic! From parking locations, parking PRICES, crowds, security, etc. Once you get through all that, pretty nice place. Clean, multiple eating locations and bars throughout. We attended a comedy show and this got a mini suite and it was nice. Went through VIP entrance, very smooth and efficient. They have a food buffet outside on your suites which consisted of hot dogs, baked potato, meatloaf, chips and dip with chicken sliders. Pretty good not bad. In our suites we had unlimited beer, unlimited bottles of wine and soft drinks, cheese and meat selection. Good seats with an island and chairs to sit around and talk while eating. Worth the price to split between friends and enjoy a show in a semi private experience. read more

Spectrum Arena itself is really nice inside -- clean, modern, and well laid out. There are tons of food and beverage options, which was great, and the availability of family restrooms was a big plus when attending with kids. Once inside, the overall experience was enjoyable. That said, the security staff at entry was a major disappointment. The interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant and not welcoming at all, which set a negative tone right from the start. It's unfortunate because everything else about the venue felt well-run and family-friendly, but first impressions matter. Hopefully this is something that can be improved, because the arena itself has a lot going for it. read more

Wow! Such a good arena to catch a basketball game. Right in the heart of Charlotte and within walking distance of transit and many parking garages. Located across from the Charlotte Transportation Center, the city's main bus hub and light rail stop. Enjoyed the venue because of the different types of food stations, grab and go options, multiple large bars that can serve like 40 people and large hang out area on the second level. The spectrum center was okay! Seats go up to 200 level which are considered "nose bleeds" to some. I didn't get any food so I'm not sure about prices. I'm sure they were high though. This is the first arena I've ever been in that had crazy lines and I've been to a lot. The security was enforced heavy & they even had k-9 dogs walking through . That's also a first for me . Bathroom attendant was very nice and she didn't pressure you to leave tips. read more

Downtown Charlotte can be hectic and the Spectrum Center is huge, but I went to a concert here on a Sunday evening and it was incredibly well organized. The staff were friendly and plentiful, there was good use of technology and it really seemed like the smoothest experience I've seen in quite a while. Pretty impressive considering the location and the number of people. read more

My cousin and I attended the Charlotte Hornets vs Atlanta Hawks game. The arena was very easy to enter, however, please ensure that you have your tickets ready to aid in the process. Other than that, our seats were perfect and Hornets obtained the win. I definitely recommend. read more

Incredible stadium with passionate fans. I love stadiums that offer more than just what's on the court. When you walk around, you get to see the history of the Charlotte Hornets along with history of the building. They even have a Jordan store inside the team store. You can get a brand new pair of shoes while you watch a game. The only downside is the food wasn't too good. I had some chicken tenders that tasted stale. The upside is the fan base. The hornets are having a down year but their fans still showed up and were well into the game. read more

This place is amazing! The amount of places to get food is great and the line moves fast, but with all the perks comes some setbacks. When I say setbacks u almost need to take out a loan to pay for the food, but I know what do I expect at a concert. Ok seating, because I am not a millionaire or a sugar baby, my seat was clear up in the stars. The seats were roomy and angle at a slant so if someone is sitting in front of you with a big head you can still see. My issue wasn't a big head but a group in of young girls who decided they were going to jus sit wherever and turn the 3 empty seats to 6. This wouldn't of been an issue but they stood up a lot of the time blocking our view, but what do I expect attending a Billie Eilish concert. Anyways great place I give them 4 stars!! read more

I have come to the Spectrum Center for many events throughout my life. The best events to attend are basketball games, they are really fun. We were there for the Mumford and Sons concert, which was great. Staff were friendly. But the parking at the Spectrum lot was terrible. We sat for over 2 hours waiting to exit. No reason why. I don't understand why when we prepaid, scanned our pass upon entry that we had to scan our pass to leave. But we were there so late that people were getting charged for overstaying their parking pass. Venue is nice. Just like any other sports arena, but don't use the attached parking garage. read more

My suggestion is to not park in the parking deck but a lot off from the venue or else you will get stuck trying to get out. I wish there were more people showing you how to get to your seats very hard to find or see where you need to go. But those that I were able to see were friendly and helpful. Security was ok to get through. I'm not feeling the whole scan and go function. You can get a receipt for things you purchased. Welcome AI I guess. read more

I've been to about 2000 concerts in my life and this is one of the worst arenas ever. Horribly steep seats with just about 6 inches of the top of one in front of you to keep you from toppling to your death. They only had a hip high wall of the very bottom row of seats to keep everyone from toppling to their deaths. I would not see another concert here ever. Tear it down and redo it because it is currently a death trap. Ruuuude staff looking at you with contempt at the fact that they have to do their jobs at every single station in the whole place, besides one man on entrance, amongst 50 of his rude peers. Horrid. Great band. Terrible place for them and the rest of us. read more

This is hands down the worst concert venue I've ever been to. I had floor seats but apparently, people that don't have seat close to the stage can come from the back and stand in front of the stage. Security did nothing to move them, at one point security stood with them to watch the show! I won't return, but just know if you get floor seat near the stage, people from the back can come and stand in front of you to obstruct your view. Also, they don't have bathrooms or concession stands on the floor level! This is my first and last visit. read more

I went to a Melanie Martinez concert last night and I can't believe how awful my experience was with Spectrum Center. The venue is dirty and smells horrible. The security is obnoxiously rude (I'm guessing because they know theres no recourse one could take against the security, so they can act and say whatever they want). Seats are smaller than church pews so you'll bump into your neighbor if you dance. There is nowhere to put any sort of purse or merch since the seats and space you pay for are so tiny. Food is barley edible but priced as fine dining. The bag policy is obnoxiously ridiculous. Guests cant have bottles on the floor area, so they have to put beverages in plastic cups so of course there are spills everywhere. Security is so tight, they should really just appoint a security person for every single individual person in attendance so the security guard can let you know how you are allowed to move and breathe within the confines of the seat you payed for. The cherry on the cake for me was after the concert was over, water is no longer available, and guests are told to get out as quickly as possible. Wont be going here again. read more

My family loves sports and decided to hit a Knicks vs. Hornets game while we were in town and we had a great time! The energy was so fun- for all of us. The arena was clean and the employees we encountered were all pleasant and helpful. The ushers near the court allowed us to take photos and helped us navigate to our seats with kids. The food offerings were good, lots of variety - minimal waits, pricey.. but that is to be expected for sport events. Our first time here and we really enjoyed our visit. No complaints. Very family friendly. read more

Attended the Nicki Minaj concert here. We arrived early, so we were able to get in and move around pretty easily. The staff were very polite and helpful. The crowd picked up, and the place got pretty packed in no time. I liked how they had a chic fil a and other food options on all levels. They also had plenty of vendors selling beer and alcohol. There were plenty of bar options as well, so I really liked that there were plenty of food and drink options. The rest rooms were clean, and everyone was civilized. And we had such an amazing time! There were different props set up to take photos, there were vendors selling Nicki merchandise, etc. Which was nice. The seats were so uncomfortable....... It felt really tight. The stairs were really narrow, people were on top of each other, the aisles were tight, so it was a pain to let people in and out of the aisle. It got HOT! All of those bodies in one space dancing and singing really brought the temperature up fast. Nicki was two hours late, which would of been fine if the DJ was playing the entire time, unfortunately we sat for over an hour listening to random music. I don't think I'd attend another concert here, it's just too small and tight. I also didn't like that there was no big screen for people up higher to see the artist. The flow was easy, and the staff were polite, the venue was clean, so no issues with the service. It's just a tight venue. The concert itself was a vibe, and even though Nicki was two hours late, she carried!! read more

Cardi B concert was amazing traveled all the way from New York. The seats were great for the arena.

The hubs and I stopped by for our 1st Hornets game, and enjoyed it! The arena is clean, concession lines are efficiently run, and I can't imagine that there's a bad seat in the house. Section 109 didn't disappoint. However, the flow of getting game watchers in their seats needs some work (from Trade Street) as the lines to enter Spectrum Center were insane (even at tip-off). Once inside, it was all uphill. All in all, and as basketball arenas go, Spectrum Center is up to snuff. Go Hornets! read more

Had an awesome time here last year seeing the Impractical Jokers on their Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive tour. Booked everything online through Ticketmaster without any issues. There was lots of parking still in the garage even though I got there close to opening time. There was more than one garage available, but I just went with whatever one was suggested to me upon booking and had no issues. There were a lot of different concession sections and vendors inside. I stopped at the BBQ place to get some pulled chicken nachos which were really tasty and grabbed a beer from one of the vending areas. Everything moved smoothly throughout the whole process and it was a nice, comfy venue for the show. All the workers I interacted with were great. I would love to come back to attend another event here in the future. My only word of caution if you're new to the area or visiting like I was - please, be careful leaving the parking deck. The signage was not entirely clear and I was following someone who I assumed knew their way, only to find myself going the wrong way on a one way street exiting the deck. Luckily I was able to correct safely, but just please be aware as the streets get kind of hectic after events of course. read more

My daughter and I go to a new arena every year to watch the Grizzlies play and sit courtside. We've never had a bad experience, but I want to highlight the Spectrum Center's courtside club and guest experience. Brook in the courtside club was so funny and welcoming and Brian in guest experience - man oh man. Brian is PHENOMENAL! We were actaully there for two games this past week and had the pleasure of being in Brian's section both times. If you have a chance to sit in Section 106, Row CS3 - do it. You won't regret it. It's nice to come out here once in a while to catch a game but it gets expensive. Between tickets and parking, it's become a rich man's sport, just like every other sport. My biggest complain is the food quality. They have switched over to self serve kiosks where you tap your card and grab and go. The food does not feel fresh and could be sitting quite a bit of time. They also have someone making you take the cap off your drinks and throwing them out. This becomes a hassle to carry and spill and sodas go flat quickly. We got the Chicken strips and waffle fries and they were worse than what you would get at a gas station. The nachos come in a small bag with a sealed cold cheese sauce, just nasty! Not a lot of nachos in the bag and no option of jalapeños or chili or HOT cheese! Just not worth it for the money you pay. Better off eating ahead or after the games. I would love to see more affordable t shirts or value worthy gifts for everyone, not just the people with money to spare. Would love to come to more games but 1 or 2 a year is my limit. I can only afford nosebleeds and for that I might as well stay in the comfort of my home. read more

This is a 5-star sporting venue through and through! I came here for a Kings vs Hornets game and was fortunate enough to grab some killer seats right behind courtside (Row A1). From what I saw while walking around, there wasn't a bad seat in the house! What makes the Spectrum Center so unique is that it was designed specifically for Basketball games (they also do concerts here as well), so with the angle of the stadium seats and layout of the arena, everything has an intimate feel. These seats came with "Inner Circle" perks such as access to private restrooms, complimentary dining in the Grant Thornton Crown Club before/during/after the game, open bar, free coat check, opportunities to high-five players as they walk out from the locker room in the hallway. I'm currently doing Dry January and Beyond and was made some delicious ginger mocktails by one of the talented bartenders. The seats and views of the game were incredible but what really blew me away was the sheer friendliness and warmth by every single staff member I encountered. From the kind fellow right outside the arena who I asked for directions to the Inner Circle entrance, to all of the people in lounge and all of the ushers, everyone was genuinely kind and enthusiastic. If I lived in Charlotte, I would be attending as many games here as I could! read more
