The therapists did a wonderful job working over our very sore bodies after a couple of days of hard skiing on our vacation, and we would recommend them both and return any time we're in the area. My husband and I recently both had "deep tissue" massages at Simply Massage. My husband was satisfied with his massage and I was not. I do like a deep massage and felt mine was more or less just rubbing oil around. My massage therapist seemed rushed and unconcerned with my needs or expectations. Maybe she was having a bad day... I still was a paying customer. The atmosphere was just ok. I could hear other people talking though the majority of my massage and the ambiance was lacking a relaxing feel. The best part of the experience was the friendly receptionist and coupon we found in the Vail Daily paper. read more

Simply Massage offers exactly what they advertise. Great massages for great prices. I am accustomed to paying for a full hour and getting a full hour, so the one knock on this place is, in my three experiences, is only getting a maximum 50 minute massage... The meet and greet with the massuse and changing twice were a part of my hour long session. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the oackage i bought and the staff who worked on my body. I was a walk in and got right in. Jose Morales was my massage therapist, and after relaying to him the pain radiating down my neck, arm and back he set to work with the correct pressure (more when needed) and really knew what he was doing. He listened to my problems, was extremely professional, and would HIGHLY recommend this facility. These were the best massages my husband and I ever had, and we've had some really expensive ones in NYC. We went skiing at Beaver Creek and got massages at night., trying to avoid the $300-$500 rip offs in the resorts. I had Jason and my husband had Vianey. Both of us thought ours was the best ever. I had been having back pain for a few nights and decided to try this massage place while visiting the area. WOW! I was very impressed. The pricing is very reasonable but my masseuse Florence was fantastic! It really felt as though she knew the human anatomy checking every muscle and ache for tightness. I'm giving this a 3 because I've had lots of good-to-very good massages here over the years, but the massage from Mauricio was the WORST I have ever had in my life. I've had many massages of varying types over the last 20 years, including deep tissue, and never encountered anything like this. He describes his technique as "acupressure," which might have been fine if that's what I was expecting, but I signed up for a MASSAGE. First problem is that it's a dry technique - no creams or oil - so it was terribly uncomfortable on my bare skin. Secondly, he never rubbed or massaged the muscles in anything like a massage technique - he jumped around from one body part to another and squeezed or poked very hard on sensitive spots. When I flinched or yelped, he said, "I know, I know, but you'll thank me. It's good for you." He needs to be educated about what a normal massage is and not subject a customer who expects a massage to his horrible technique. I might have expected this at a physical therapist, but even then, it would have been uncomfortable but I would have had different expectations, and i would have kept my clothes on! I need another massage to recover from this one. read more

Decided a 90 minute massage was very sorely needed after a few stressful weeks. Casey was an amazing therapist, very professional and respectful. He had a great, firm pressure that wasn't overpowering at all. He did a really great job on my back and the surrounding rib cage area, which is where I was particularly sore. I really enjoyed my experience at simply massage. I had never been here before and I'm in town visiting. The front desk associate gave me a masseuse that catered to exactly what I wanted. Brian was my masseuse and he was very professional and fit the massage to what my body needed. He is very good at what he does! I had Tom and he was as good a therapist as I've had. He hit the spots that were sore from skiing and spending too much time in the car. Well, I guess they are the cheapest... (for a 50 minute massage) Take that for what it is worth, but in my experience the independent therapists in the Vail valley have FAR more skill and expertise, come right to your house, condo, or room, and are certainly comparable dollar per minute because they work longer and deeper with more practiced attention. An analogy: would you rather have a personally known, recommended, and experienced doctor come to treat you at your house, or go to a franchised location and get whoever happens to be on schedule at the time. I tried simply massage, it was ok, but I would rather choose quality over quantity, it plays out better in the long run. read more
