This is about 15-20 min. from East Vail. My friends and I went here yesterday. We were so happy to get an appointment for the same day. We were running late but they accommodated. Becky, the receptionist, was VERY helpful, friendly and patient. We got lost and she gave us directions- even drew a map for us after. My massage therapist, Nathan, did a wonderful job! He blended techniques to cater to my needs. Since I was sore from boarding the whole weekend, he paid close attention to my neck, traps, shoulders and forearms. Massages from chain massage places could be a bit uneven at times but we are glad Simply Massage came through. Both our therapists listened well and had good techniques. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that the tipping suggestion doesn't quite make sense. At the desk they recommend tipping the therapist 25 -35 percent. I was too relax to do math at that point I willingly surrendered a fat tip. Even treatments at the Four Season we typically tip at 20 percent. I think their management should pay their therapists a bigger share instead. -- Appreciate clarification from management. I scheduled a massage on Monday with Ted. I just can't say enough wonderful things about him! I had three physical therapy sessions this week and I'm so happy I called after the first pt session. Ted put me back together. He was able to unlock my upper back. I had double spine surgeries in November. He is the only one I TRUST to work on my back with all of my hardware. My 90 minute massage from Brian was fantastic. He is insanely strong with huge hands. I would recommend him for deep tissue or if you need to work out any knots in your body. The place itself is clean, modern, and quiet. It is much more affordable than going to the spa if all you need is a massage and don't care about the amenities. I prefer simply massage over mountain massage in Avon. I got tired of the owner harassing me into going longer with more minutes at mountain massage. First massage was with Carol. It was sub par, asked to go deep with pressure and it rarely happened. I could have done a more thorough massage without any training. Second massage was with guy KC- it felt like he had very little experience knowing the muscles. Plus his breath smelled terrible and that's all I could think about was trying to avoid smelling it. The flow was awful, he left the big bag for his materials in the middle of the floor. Simply Wonderful is what it should be called. I am not a local, but I come to the valley every December to visit my family for the holidays. A visit to Simply Massage has come to be an expected Christmas gift from my brothers, who are locals. I've had an ongoing issue with some muscular pain in my chest and she took extra time to work on it and I can tell she has made it better. If you need real deep tissue work, he's your man. The atmosphere is not quite spa-like but much better than the strip-mall location would lead you to think.
