Since I couldn't bring my computer to them due to mobility issues, they came out to my house. For only $40 they provided me with an "on site" service appointment. Since I'm located in Conroe, TX, I was thinking I probably wouldn't get anything done in just one day...so how surprised I was when within an hour from making my phone call they arrived at my doorstep! Wow what a time saver! The technician who came out was great!! Not only did he diagnose my problem and fix it on the spot, but after everything he ended up charging me only $140 instead of what some of these guys charge. I even had talked to a couple other computer folks before hand...they would give me estimates for anywhere between $125/hr & say it was gonna take them 3 hrs to get the job done. That's all fine & dandy but nooo way I We are very pleased with 911 Computer for their fast and affordable service to our PC repairs. They also offer a 60 day warranty which impressed us! I read that if you open the back of the laptop and disconnect the external battery you have a good shot of fixing the issue. What that tells you is - besides our being pretty old - that CCX is really good at upgrading or repairing computers. And that's an understatement. Walter, the owner and head digital guru, not only is polite, friendly and honest, but can communicate often times complicated information in a simple and straightforward way. He isn't there to dazzle you with his knowledge (although that might happen along the way). He knows your main concerns are 1) What's wrong? and 2) How much will it cost? Not one time has he been unable to solve the problem, or given us a price that wasn't reasonable. That his shop is conveniently located near I-10 is another bonus. So before you take your computer to a big-box store or someplace you see on the street, either of which is likely to turn into a stress-fest, let CCX have a look. Chances are that the quality of work will be higher, and cost less.
