On the downside however, they shouldn't claim that they'll price match when there will be several instances where they know they cannot. I recommend an online option to input the quote and the vendor, then they can confirm up front if they're willing/able to price match as well as why if they cannot. In my case, they could not as the rival vendor likely did not use OEM components for the repair given the price disparity. I'd already looked up the price of the OEM part itself, so I know they were honest about the quote discrepancy. That information just would have been nice to know before hand.

He then tells me I also needed a battery, so I approve the replacement of both. I pick up my phone and it is running extremely hot and battery life is tanking every few mins (thus all the problems begin!) Long story short, I end up having to take my phone back in at least 4-5 times and on a few occasions leave it for days (inconvenient) to be told upon pick up that the issue was fixed each time. Every phone pick up yielded more severe problems/glitches, to the point my phone was unusable. He had to replace the battery 3 times (so he said since he thought that was the issue) and each time was more of a nightmare than the first. I asked him if he could refund me at least the cost of battery, since that seemed to be the problem (willing to take a partial refund) and he just kept telling me he would fix it, but never once agreed to even a partial refund. I thought that was fair. Upon picking up my phone the final time and reassured it was fixed for sure this time, I again asked if it is not can you honor a partial refund (he just said it is fixed for sure this time) Well......my phone was basically broke! As soon as I took it home and started using it consistantly the heat was back with a vengeance and my cellphone screen looked like the matrix! Phone was unresponsive from the overheating and just gave out. I ended up having to get a new phone after spending over 200 bucks for him to basically break my phone! I took it to several computer repair shops, who all told me they couldn't fix the drive or restore the data. One guy suggested I try a data recovery service. After a quick search on Google, I found 911 Data Recovery. I completed the online form, and Brad called me the next day. I dropped my external drive off a few days later. Needless to say, not only did Brad recover the data I knew I'd lost, he also recovered data I had lost YEARS ago. I am one happy customer. That drive had 15 years of music, videos, photos, and college papers--bachelor's and master's--on it.
