There seemed to be moisture under my floors--the tenant was not so happy. I (your friendly neighborhood landlord) was not so happy. Also, it looked like poop. Our job was to rip out the floor, take away all the grossness that had developed under the floor (garden unit), and put down some spiffy NEW tile in its place. I called Tony, he gave me a fair estimate (the lowest of the three I got), and they did an AMAZING job on the tile. Right on schedule. He is honest, punctual, and very talented. Also a native Chicago guy, with a crew of his own dudes. And yes, he will be ON the actual crew that does the actual work. (Bonus!) Nice to have a good dude for a change, who cares about his work. When I demanded to be compensated for them not noticing the pipes were clogged, I was told they ran water in the house and it all drained (slowly) so they felt it was fine. The broken kitchen sink and leaky bathroom faucet (not noted in the inspection) were a mild annoyance that can be replaced easily enough but pipes filled with tree roots are a continual problem with a fix that costs 10's of thousands of dollars.

I can't thank this company enough. They fixed our kitchen cabinet door face and saved us the cost…read moreof total cabinet replacement. We moved into our home and noticed one of the cabinet doors was warped and the face was cracked/ peeling. We were in a tough spot because if we could not repair this one door, then all of the cabinets would have to be replaced. The previous owners must have cheaply remodeled with discontinued cabinets. Everywhere we called and asked we were told we could not get a replacement door because our cabinets were no longer in existence. I called the Refinishing Touch and after speaking with Wendy I felt confident that they could do the job. They originally tried getting me a door and the profile did not match ( remember cabinets have been discontinued). I am a perfectionist and could not settle for anything, but a perfect match. They could tell I was not pleased and decided to go in a different direction by repairing the old one. They want to have a satisfied customer. They will work with you until your happy and in my opinion I think this is what good customer service is. My cabinet door looks brand new and perfect. I could not ask for more. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!!! I wish I kept the before picture of the door because it was warped, discolored and cracked. The first company I went to even destroyed it further. Refinishing Touch reveneered the door and viola. I am a happy customer.

I had to call on multiple occasions to see when my chairs would be finished since her communication was poor. We went to pick chairs up three weeks later and they still weren't done. Never said "sorry," and was only full of excuses. Wendy wasn't even going to give any compensation for extremely late and poor work (she eventually gave us a very, very small discount and was very rude about it). We have to fix parts of our chairs where pieces are now missing. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else. UPDATE---My husband told me I was being "too nice" in my review because he had a worse experience with her. Thank you so much, Wendy, for your public apology with no additional compensation or PERSONAL apology. Very heartfelt. Way to right your wrong.
