Why is a farm store not open until 9am this rediculous. Also your hours show it's open at 8 AM so I drove from my farm to get animal feed early in the morning expecting it to be open and it was closed. The amount of time and work I am losing because they can't SIMPLY CHANGE THE HOURS ON THEIR YELP IS VERY FRUSTRATING. read more

I went into the new store on Railroad Ave to get some rice straw. I have a Tundra with a 6 foot bed that I thought would hold about 6 bales. The person helping me said "I can stack 18 bales on your truck". I settled for 12. Watching the loading was impressive. In the end, it was loaded and tied down with no worry of falling out. The person loading my truck was Julia. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She loves her job and it shows in her attention to service. I have been going to Simply Country (Ridge Feed) for over 30 years and will continue to do so. read more

Everyone is super helpful and good quality dog food. Treats are $1.69 a pound. That's so much cheaper than milkbones. December was great they ran a special every Saturday... 20% off dog food and 50% off treats and toys. Great deal. Wish they would run it again!!! read more

Last year We bought chickens from them and two goats and everyone was happy and healthy. Plus the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and Emma is an encyclopedia of knowledge! Also yesterday December 30th 2018 we bought a bale Of hay and it had a little mold on the outside fringes that was barely noticeable I brought it back and it was replaced no questions asked! read more

This "feed" store should be ashamed of itself. Abused chickens and small piglet rescued by animal control for being malnourished, respiratory disease, untreated wounds where over 50 chickens were dead and dying and the piglet had to have ears amputated. DO NOT BUY from them shut this place down. Despicable owners. read more

I went there to buy feed for my horses, but then I saw their malnourished animals, and dead chickens. They should be shut down.

I used to haul my hay one bale at a time in my Honda Element but when it got totaled I didn't know what to do. I remember the last time I went to Simply Country that they mentioned that they delivered hay. So I called them up and sure enough they were able to deliver 2 bales within two days. I just got the delivery and the driver offered to haul them all the way out to my barn. What a huge relief! It's such a pain for me to move them around and he did it so easily. What an awesome solution to my hay problem. Thank you Simply Country!!! read more

Simply Country has knowledgeable people working for them. The staff is helpful and friendly. My dogs are welcome there and receive treats. Any animals I've bought there have been healthy and thrived. This business (two stores) has supported the community for years. They donate, give discounts to the 4-H and FFA students, and are buyers at the Nevada County Fair Livestock Auction. They support many events in the community. I'm always greeted with warmth when I enter the store. read more

CHILDREN SHOULD NOT WORK AT THIS STORE! I had some 16-17 year old girl ( who was working there) flirting with my fiancé the entire time! Made me really uncomfortable and I will not be coming back.
