I can't say enough good things about Matt and Daniel. They've done work on several iPhones for me in the past, and always did great inexpensive work. Last week I took my laptop computer to them. I needed a new keyboard. To get to the keyboard and replace it in a laptop the entire computer must come apart. Matt ordered the part. When it came in I took the computer to Simply Computers, came home which is about a mile from the store, and began setting up an old laptop to work with until the keyboard was replaced. Before I finished setting up the standby computer Matt called and said my computer was ready. It was maybe 2 hours. Matt promised me they'd have it finished within 24 hours, but 2 hours! I needed my phone screen fixed and I called to ask how much for an XS and the guy said 160. I thought that was pricy so I had my husband call and ask. He received the same quote. I took my phone in and when I came to pick it up, the guy charged me 225. I told him I called and was quoted and the guy told me no you said for an X. But I know for a fact I didn't and wait so my husband made the same mistake? No. They saw a female coming a mile away and took advantage of me. He attentively listened to my concerns, walked me through my iPhone repairs, and was very accommodating. In less than an hour he troubleshooted and repaired the issues. Dropped my computer off for repair,@ SIMPLY COMPUTERS after two weeks I called only to be informed wrong parts were sent from supplies. I understand these things. But communication is very important, letting a customer know progress or lack there of, makes for a good working relationship. When i picked comp. up I asked is this comp. in good working order, I was assured it was ! Plug and play I asked? Response was absolutely!! Was charged over 350.00 dollars ( diagnostics ) parts ordered never showed up ! They used existing parts with a few small components .....follow along with me . An additional 165.00 was charged to me! Okay this comp. should work very well ! Right? Not !! ( 515.00 plus , spent ) !..... Comp. is used by a special needs child! Returning home with the comp. our child begin to use the it, error message appeared! Upon examining the system i tried to use the d-drive inserting a disc....again error message! The following morning i called and explained my issue! Rather than saying they were sorry for my inconvenience, or asking questions, the mgr., i assume,.. began a tirade defending his position sounding like he was reading from a lawyer prepared script! Again When i asked at the time of pick-up , ( was comp. in good working order, ) plug and play i asked???, absolutely!!! was the response!!!!........Read the bottom of your repair order! he said !! It says nothing about the drive not working ! ...Exactly!! Had there been an issue with the drive I would have reported that to him!... I HAD NO ISSUE WITH D-DRIVE !!. At the time of drop off . One would assume after 350.00 plus 165.00 the system would be checked for all operations, Call me crazy, this just seem like good service! Obviously not a practice at the aforementioned business!...Its Painful to type this closing comment, but in all honesty i would not take my wind-up alarm clock to SIMPLY COMPUTERS.... I dropped my phone and the screen cracked pretty bad. I read some yelp reviews on this place, gave them a call, the lady on the phone said the fix no problem. I arrived, she got right to work on it and 20 minutes later I was on my way with a nice new screen for cheap. I couldn't be happier. Excellent job. Were visiting from out of town and since we weren't going to need our cell phones on vacation to be constant contact, was a good opportunity to fix my wife's broken iPhone screen and my son's broken Touch screen. Dropped them off and owner was very nice. Asked where we were staying and because he lives close to beach actually brought both now fixed devices to us that afternoon instead if me having to drive all the way back to his shop. Felicia was simply the best. I brought my daughter's iPhone in to get fixed because it would not start up. Felicia was very knowledgeable and took it apart immediately to see that it had water in it. I left it there to be fixed, and she called before I even got home to let me know what was the problem and what needed to be fixed. So I got my phone fixed here in February it is now May. I was just using my phone and the screen stopped working (not cracked), so I took it back in. It's not exactly A-OK, but because he at least called to connect with me the experience is definitely better than it was. While I fully believe he should have had a message on the phone and website letting people know his business would be effectively closed for the week, I'll overlook this issue and press on.
