Don't bother to spend your money here. This place is HORRIBLE. They don't know what they're doing, they lie, and they have a turnover like you wouldn't believe. I bought an 18 month package, and asked BEFORE I signed, if I got to the point where, halfway through the 18 months, I either didn't like it or was already satisfied with the results, what were my options? She said oh, don't worry, you can change to another body part, as long as it's still a small area. I said great!!! Sign me up! The first month, they double charged me. Took an act of Congress to get it fixed. Halfway through, I asked about changing, and I was told that no one would have ever told me that, but they would be HAPPY to sell me ANOTHER package. Sure. So then she tells me, if I want to just maintain your good results, you can come in every 8 weeks instead of four. What a great idea!! So I start scheduling my visits every 8 weeks. Last time I was there, I asked how many visits I had left. She said it looked like I had used 11. Today I go in for a scheduled appt and they tell me my membership is up. Huh? Yeah, your 18 months ended in October. Umm, but I haven't used 18 visits because I'm on maintenance. I should have 7 visits left... nope. I was told that's MY fault for not reading my contract. You only get service while you're giving them money. I called them and screamed at them. Asked for a supervisor and of COURSE no supervisors work on Saturdays!!! Don't even get me started on the girl who burned me, the girl who took THIRTY MINUTES just to figure out how to put glasses on me (first timer, apparently) and the fact that they NEVER have your appt right in their system!!! The people working at Simplicity told me I was not eligible for the service because I'm too tan. That information would have been helpful prior to signing me up for the monthly service. She was super nice & explained the process & was more then happy to answer my questions. I was very happy with the whole visit. I was in & out in a very reasonable time. I went to Simplicity this morning. The place was very nice and the front desk staff was pleasant and well organized. Kim was my laser technician. She and the treatment room had a very medical and professional presence. The laser had a cooling air which kept the laser sensation to a minimum. If I could give it a 0 star I would!!! Terrible service. This company is only in it to steal your money. Don't waste your Money or time here. There are better places out. I bought membership and paid in full for my underarms and full face and neck. They couldn't get the right setting for either. After all the treatment for my underarms were done there was no difference from when i started to when I finished. Also because of the wrong setting they ruined my face and I had excessive hair growth. When I talked to the manager all I got in return was to let my membership run out I had $300 some dollars still with them and they refused to return or even transfer to another treatment (since they said they can still work on my hair I agreed to doing some more treatments on my underarms since I wanted no more risk on my face). They refused!! Insisted on ruining my face or not gettin a refund or transferring my money to another area so if they messed up at least it won't bother me much. These people are truly thieves no respect for others. stole my money!!!! I wish no one would go to simplicity laser. other places may be a bit pricy but the results are amazing. Place that I love with the best customer service is laser and electrolysis in Austin. She has years of experience, takes the time to explain everything to you and does a great job with great results. They do a decent job with the laser hair removal service, but overall I would not recommend this place. The staff isn't very friendly. I was 3 minutes late to an appointment because parking is hard to find, so they made me wait an additional 45 minutes to try and "squeeze" me in, even though they had multiple technicians wandering around and chatting with each other. There is one staff member who is especially rude, I'm not sure what her name is though. If you are okay with rude and untimely service then I would recommend this place. read more

**UPDATE 2017** To update from earlier review- when I talked with the girls at the location about this issue they apologized for the experience with jackie and allowed me to have my package as I was told I could. Not only that but unlike jackie has said with the required 18 or 24 month commitment which there is no way im doing or need for my particular skin/hair, they actually have a month to month option! so again, the location itself has always been great and saved this client. Simplicity - you really need to train your staff across your locations better or I have a feeling it will cost you many clients. I have a few just 1 more braz and maybe 2 more underarm i think left and my results have been great. little to no patchy hair for brazilian and underarms are basically void of all hair minus a strand or two that probably just were missed so my remaining few we're are literally just spot treating with a zap or two and thats it! After the location fixed my issues I did also get a leg package and haven't seen any results yet (just started) but I'm hoping that they will be just as good as the rest. Lesson here: as long as you get the right people with the right information and know your true options, I recommend for anyone that is a good candidate (lighter skin/darker hair) I can't speak for anything else though but I'm happy with my results and the value for the money spent. **Original Review 2016** What a SCAM. (i've also since bought packages for my underarm) I have light to olive skin and dark hair so I'm a prime candidate and so far results have been pretty good. Patches here and there are bare and slower regrowth so far. They tell you 10 to 12 times for best results and I wanted to purchase 2 six packs and go a total of 12 times only for my braz. I have one left to go on my first 6 pack brazilian and was told I could buy another one, a girl even gave me a promo coded to use when I was ready to buy. Well I bought it yesterday on their website and when I called to have the 6 more added to my account the girl refused to do it. (her name was jackie) She said I can only have one and my ONLY option is a contract/membership. WTF? I don't WANT your dumb monthly service. She immediately hit refund and processed my money back without any other options provided. WOW this is a very strange business model you've got here. Here client, Take your money back, BYE! - really? You do realize there are a million other laser offerings around town right? Alrighty then, I'll be buying my continuing sessions elsewhere. Good lord, can't imagine how you will stay in business. I was really excited to get treatments here after stopping by and grabbing a break down of their pricing last week. The receptionist told me that I could either call to pay for the treatment and book or stop in. So I stopped in today with the intention of purchasing a full arm package (6 treatments $199), however, it was a different woman at the front desk and she had zero customer service skills. I didn't have the sheet that the woman had given me last week with me and she just kept repeating that since I couldn't remember who gave it to me that she couldn't tell me anything about the pricing I was given?!?! She just kept saying that they were only doing monthly unlimited memberships. I would love to post the photo of the breakdown sheet I was given last week but I can't see where to do that. The sheet is dated 2/01/2016. Today is 2/17/2016 and you're telling me that those prices don't exist anymore? It seems as though they need to streamline the training for their sales team a bit more and not make customers feel like they are completely out of line when bringing up information that Simplicity has given them. read more

I've had Yelp for years and never found a reason in posting negative reviews but I just had to after what I experienced at this location. First of all the entire staff is unprofessional and looks like they just rolled out of bed at 2 in the afternoon. I purchased a unlimited 29.99 deal for any 1 part of my body, long story short everytime I went in for these set treatments they would tell me my credit card information wasn't valid which I find incredibly ironic because the money was still being withdrawn from my account for 3 months I was basically paying for a treatment I wasn't even getting done go to try to cancel my membership and come to find out not only did cooperate refuse to refund me my money I now had to pay a cancellation fee of $199 in the long run I ended up paying this company $300 for nothing because I didn't even receive the first treatment. Cooperate did little to nothing to help me but my rage with this company is far from over and I am taking this into legal matters. Beware of this company! read more

Another terrible Groupon buy. Hardly any appointments after 5 pm. I had a 6:45 appointment that I made over a month ago and when I showed up they told me it was at 6:35 and I had missed it. I showed them the email (I also had it in text message) that said 6:45. They just shrugged their shoulders and said "Too bad. We close at 7 and we have someone else waiting." God forbid you guys stay 15 minutes late because of YOUR screwup, after I drove halfway across town in traffic from work for NOTHING. I ended up just getting a refund, since I was never able to use their services. What is weird is I thought I checked their Yelp review before buying and it looked okay...but now it is clearly nosediving toward a one star rating. They take turns at the reception desk. There is no consistency on customer service; attendants are rude and have rushed me in and out when I have always been either early or on time. Last time I was there the one at the reception desk was on her cell phone I tried to give her a minute to hung up; she did not and kept talking to friendly on her cell. I got a year deal for two body parts after having a baby. I have seen some changes in my hair growth but customer service here is awful. On a side note, I was pumping and nursing and had gotten the clearance from my doc that the laser would not effect my milk- I told every technician that- 9 months in one of the technicians indicates that the milk could be sour and to pump and dump. Interesting five other people before her didn't make a single comment. Most of the technicians are rough and not super diligent to cover all spots which were part of my treatment. I scheduled an appt and for some reason it did not get put into their schedule- the receptionist just looked at me- no apologies on their error, I prep for the appt including using some of the numbing cream so what a waste of time... Overall just going to buy out my time and find a place that is more professional, thorough, and effective. I have had laser hair removal done in other cities and it works but its only effective when you can get in on the scheduled timing of hair growth and making an appt here is a pain and when you do apparently the receptionist forgets to put it in! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. The technicians were very very rude. They do not communicate with each other well so each time I come in I have to reexplain what area I'm having some. I bought a medium even though I was getting my bikini line (small) because my hair grows a little outside my bikini line so I wanted them to go a little outside my bikini line. The first time they said that was fine but ever since I have to fight with them for 10 minutes that they need to go outside the "bikini line" because that's why I bought a larger size. It's impossible to reschedule an appointment if you don't do it two weeks in advance. Also, I don't even think their lasers work very well because I haven't seen much improvement and I've had 4 treatments. I would DEFINITELY recommend going somewhere else. read more

I bought a full leg package on their website and today was my first appointment. The women at the front desk were nice and helpful. I was able to set up my next appointment with them instead of having to call the 800 number, which was great. I was expecting to always have to make appointments through the 800 number. My tech was Cody (guessing on the spelling). She gave me all the necessary info before the treatment, and not in a rushed way. She also asked if I had any questions/concerns. As for the treatment, I've had laser hair removal done on another area before and knew more or less what to expect pain wise. This was not bad at all. As I said, it was a full leg treatment (upper and lower), so even though I knew what it'd feel like I've never had such a large area done before and I was a little anxious about that. But by the time Cody was finished I felt pretty relaxed. The cold air from the laser helped and honestly, aside from the lower part (where the coarser hair is and therefore more "sting") it was kinda...peaceful. Almost fell asleep. Thanks again Cody. Hope to see you again in 8 weeks. As for the outcome, I can't really comment yet as it'll probably take a couple more treatments to notice any real difference, but I'm hopeful. If it works as well as I hope I'll do another area for sure. The prices are very affordable compared to other places. read more

Don't waste your money. The staff was super nice don't get me wrong, but I'm giving this a 1 star bc their treatments didn't work. I used this place because it was "affordable". I used groupon and got 8 sessions for my under arms (to test it out). (Note: I don't have a lot of under arm hair and it's not super thick either, I just wanted it gone) When I got there I asked if 8 sessions would be enough to completely get rid of the underarm hair and I was told that yes, it would. They start at a low setting so the first 5-6 sessions are pretty much useless. Then they turn it up and it hurt like hell, but I still didn't see a big difference. I got additional sessions to "finish the treatment". I did either 11 or 12 sessions and still growing hair. I cancelled my subscription since I moved out of state, but yeah, that was a waste of my time time and money. One time I missed a hair when shaving my underarms and I was like, meh it's tiny they'll zap it off (like you see on videos), this is after the settings we're on high.... yeah nope it just hurt like hell but after the session that little tiny hair was still there standing strong. With all of the laser hair removal options in Austin do yourself a favor and skip this one. Emily the laser tech was beyond rude and unprofessional-tried to contact this location for 20 minutes prior to appointment time to let them know there was an accident and we would be a few minutes late. Sat on hold for 15 minutes with no answer. When we arrived we were greeted by the rudest, smug, nasty tech named Emily who proceeded to lecture us an arrival time and "for future reference, don't be late for your next appointment and don't bother to come if you're late" and "you need to be on time". Well of course we know that and we attempted to call 4 times with no answer. When I tried to explain there was no answer and our multiple attempts went unanswered she said she would refuse to treat me if I kept talking..it was the first appointment for my daughter and she was so upset by Emily's reaction she asked to leave immediately because she didn't want to receive a treatment by such a hostile and angry tech. I must say I can't remember the last time I was rendered speechless by such a rude and unprofessional employee. When I left with my daughter the employee answering phones who witnessed the exchange apologized for the experience and gave me the Manager's telephone number to make a formal complaint. Obviously this is not the first incident with Emily and her lack of professionalism. Needless to say, we will not be going back and have asked for a full refund. read more

The worst experience I've ever had regarding laser hair removal .. Zero result what so ever. I've been receiving laser treatment for over two years now in another clinic which has been really great but pricey, so when I saw Simplicity price on Groupon I thought why not give it a shot. They were nice but not honest. They told me if I sign up for month-to-month treatment I can cancel anytime I want and I just need to call them couple of days before my appointment is due, but then later when I told them I was not satisfied with their service and asked them to cancel my month to month payments, they said they would do it, just to make me happy (like they're doing me a favor!! ) and they said they usually do it only if the person gets pregnant, which is not what I was told when I specifically asked them several times before signing up. So just keep in mind that they might say anything to convince you to sign up for treatments which might not be true. I know exactly how laser treatments should be working and this time it's like my body has been exposed to water or air or nothing at all. The result has been zero and I feel like I've been deceived by the way they advertise. I asked for a refund and they said no because I already received the "treatment"!! This is not fair at all. They gave me a treatment but I`m not even sure if it was actually laser as the result has been zero.
