You'd think that I would see notable difference in any of the areas I am getting treated after almost a year.. Well, not a even a little. Every time I go there they do a half ass job. When is time for my hair to fall out, if it does at all (first 4/5 times didn't fall because they would use such little strength it was just throwing money away), it does so in patches because they are not throurough when lasering the areas. Be aware you are taking a risk providing your payment information. They processed a hefty charge to my bank account and cannot find it in their system. They cannot explain the charge. it is 2017 and they said I have to wait until the charge appears on a bank statement for me to submit. Then adding more days to the wait time, it will take 2 to 3 days for them to process the statement, then 2 to 3 weeks to process the refund. Most of the employees are so rude and seem to hate their job. I didn't have one appointment where everything went smoothly. I paid a total of $108 + $89 + $199 = $396 for a total of ZERO treatments. Called in asking for the 6-treatment package advertised online; got up-sold by Allie to an 18-month package ($89/month) as she explained it really takes 10-12 treatments. I had to pay $108 just to reserve the first appointment. Finally show up for that where I'm presented with a contract. I go back and I'm told the area is not shaved well enough (fine), but I'm also curiously told that six treatments would be enough and the 18 months was actually more of a "payment plan." I leave and then decide this place is a bait-and-switch operation and I won't be happy here. I'm told the charges do not start until actual treatments start, so I'm not worried - I figure I'm out the $108 and just got an expensive lesson. I call to cancel and get told the original sales associate has to call me back to "handle" the cancellation. The associate I spoke to did say that she cancelled my next appointment, so I figured I would not be charged again given I what I was told. Well, of course I was actually charged $89 the next month, having never received a treatment. When I called to ask for refund, I got the numerous apologies, but no refund. I grew really frustrated (talking with Madison) and asked to talk to manager. Laughably, I was told they would need to get Allie to call me back in 25 minutes, presumably to talk me out of it or upsell me again. I finally got an "acting manager" who made me tell the entire story again, but refused to grant a refund. I was told that the only way to cancel was to pay $199 cancellation fee. I finally submitted as this became a colossal waste of time... I strongly recommend you go somewhere else. Worst business in Austin, and please don't bother going if you even think you have PCOS (I've never even been diagnosed, it's just been a suspicion of my ob-gyn). I went for almost a year straight, all of my appointments were on time, but for whatever reason, only Naomi could figure out what to put my settings at so that I got any results at all. I only got to see her maybe 3 times out of that whole year, and then when she had to take an emergency leave I was screwed. She suggested that I see the manager, Avi, so I rearranged my whole schedule to get an appointment with a guy that ended up not even being there that day. Did I get a warning? Nope. I asked that he call, nothing. I called later to request that he call me, nothing. I called a few more times and asked that SOMEONE call me back, and got nothing. The only Austin location is 25 miles from where I live, and I kept going thinking that things would get better and that I was investing my time and money on something that would work. WRONG. The first time I went in, the incompetent little girl couldn't even explain what she was doing to the new client that walked in and was a little nervous about having a procedure done with a laser for the first time. I called the 800 number later, and a polite, articulate woman picked up and explained the process to me and apologized for my experience. Fine. I kept going back though and got very minimal results. Naomi met me and things changed- all of a sudden I wasn't just another number or a walking paycheck. She seemed genuinely concerned about the lack of results that I was receiving. She adjusted my settings and I immediately noticed a change. Naomi, I truly appreciate all of your help if I were to give you an individual review this would have been 5 stars. You're the only one who bothered to care and made a difference at this place. The rest of Simplicity Laser isn't worth driving 25 miles for and wasting my time and money though. My last appointment was almost exactly 3 months ago, and my hair has already grown back the way it was before I ever went. I'm positive if I could have gotten Naomi for every appointment things would have been different, but Avi dropped the ball on multiple occasions when she couldn't be there. Such a shame. Naomi should be the manager at this place, because there's really no excuse for not receiving call backs after as many messages as I left this joker. Not even sure if I have any more appointments that are paid for and frankly I don't care. Going back and forth- getting Naomi and then getting someone else that didn't know what they were doing- gave me inconsistent treatment and I ended up with 0 results. I wanted to like this place so badly but after a year of going, I have not seen any permanent results. The lasers they are using must be weak because I have dark brown coarse hair. At this point it just seems like a scam. My hair growth is stunted but after about a month it just comes back the same as it was before I ever started treatments. And if you miss an appointment, don't expect to get another for at least a month. It was the first big purchase I ever made for myself and I am so disappointed. Additionally, I typically wait for at least 30 mins past my appointment time to even get in. Hopefully this review can help you to avoid this place in the future. This place is a JOKE. I've never seen such a poor customer before. The people who work there don't know what they are doing including the manager (that lady couldn't do the simple math in her head when I was confronting her with the pricing for the new contract). The staff is always changing and it looks like they can't keep anybody there long enough. The girls are rude (I can name a few that are actually nice and seem to care like Stefanie, Natalie and Joe). You come in, nobody greats you because there is literally nobody at the reception but you can hear them talking in a separate room - it just seem they don't even care to acknowledge the client. It always happens that they run late but at the same time you can hear them chatting their private business in a separate room. But my main concern is that nobody knows what laser machine they should use. Here is an example: I've been on Yag for over a year and didn't notice almost any results so they switched me to Alex laser and the results were significant. Last time they overbooked the Alex room (they only have one Alex machine) so the manager came out to give a "legit" reason why I should be treated by Yag again; I disagreed and another manager came out (I guess they have district manager visit that day) and gave me a completely different reason why I should not be treated by Alex. She said I should have never been treated on Alex because my skin is darker but I am type 3 and what she saw is my tanned arms... She told me that they will never treat me on Alex again but that was my 4th treatment on Alex - hello??? I did my research later that day and in fact I CAN be treated on Alex according to my skin chart... I feel they put you on Yag because the results are harder to achieve which required more sessions meaning more money out of the pocket... This is just an example of how unprofessional, unknowledgeable and rude people are at their place including the district manager or whoever that lady was who came to FIX this place. I've started my membership about one and half year ago. At the begging everything was great (the service, appointment, and the staff), but after 6 months they started to get busy and having more clients, since then they are always behind schedule, I always waste at least 30 to 45 minutes because of their delay. Also every time I am scheduling the next appointment, they are booked and I need to schedule couple weeks later than when my appointment should be. On top of everything, for the last four months their machine was broken, they used the laser that didn't have any air to blow every time on me and it has been really painful. When I tell them I am not happy with this laser, and if they could use the other machines, they tell me I have to reschedule and since they are booked, the appointment would be in the next 7 weeks. On my last appointment they took me to the room that the machine is good, but then the other technician walked in and mentioned she needed this room. So they put me in the room that the laser doesn't blow cool air again. And when I asked them why their machine is not fixed since last time I was there, they say no this is the way that this machine works. But on my last appointment, they told me their machine is broken and not working. I called the corporate to complain and cancel my membership, they say I need to pay $199 cancellation fee, really? I don't get the service that I pay for it monthly and to cancel it, I should pay $199. read more

I HATE THIS PLACE. Avoid it! Go find a different place. They always have sales to lure innocents, but don't be fooled! Walk away from that "great offer" that they repeat every month. I am on a monthly subscription (which I also find to be a rip off since you pay monthly, but you don't go in every month). Every time I go, it's a different person who seems like was just hired. They barely know anything. The manager... she looks like she hates her job. She always has a pissed off face and is not approachable or friendly or anything, and shes the manager!! - p.s. if you hate your job that bad, go find a new one. Since every time I go I have a new person, each person works differently. Sometimes one place will be "zapped" and other times it won't. There is ZERO consistency with the employees and for the amount of money that is paid, I find that unacceptable. The front desk lady (there are a few of course - this is about the "newest one" in the bunch) talks so softly and you can't understand anything. I literally had to tell her to speak up with she wanted to heard! I ask for a noon appointment, she offers 3pm... I tell her AGAIN I need a noon appointment and its like there is nothing in there! There have been 2 people, a total of 2 girls that have done a good job out of the billion I have seen and I have tried to request having them and instead I end up with the new ones. The first time I was here my technician, Cody, was so rude. She acted like I was a bother. I asked not to be booked with her again. Last time I was in, the machine was acting up and I was unable to do my treatment. This was the 2nd time in a row this has happened so I asked to speak to the manager (who is also the rude laser tech I refuse to be booked with) who offered no customer service oriented solutions. I began a membership in February 2020 for $29 a month. They ended up charging me $39 a month. They shut down in March. I never received a treatment. I tried to cancel at that time due to Covid. They would not allow me. They were also closed April, but continued to take $ from my account unbeknownst to me until my card expired in August. They've taken $302 from me and I've gotten no treatments in return. I've asked for a cancellation and refund due to Covid but they have refused. I asked to allow me to come back then (and risk infection) and restart the membership but they said that I can't until paying another $174. Basically, They have taken my money, given me nothing in return and will only agree to provide me with the services I've already paid for after extorting another $174 from me. They are terrible. This is the only businesses that I've encountered that has no compassion in regards to treating customers fairly due to Covid. They are awful. Buyer beware. read more

Although I like this place generally once you are in they are quick and the hair removal lasers work. I have arrived to my appointment and have been told they are running almost 2 hours behind!!!! Then asked would you like to wait ? What I would have liked is a phone call to reschedule my appointment or a warning BEFORE I arrived not when I walked in the door. My last visit I waited 45 minutes for my appointment! I stood there waiting because they removed the chairs due to Covid which I understand. Not until the receptionist could tell I was annoyed once I realized several people who arrived after me had come and gone did she say anything to me and let me know it would be a few more minutes. These are just 2 of the times I can give you specific details of when they have made me wait well past my appointment time. Today I arrived for my appointment 6 minutes late waited at the door for 2 then was told my appointment time was over ! Strongly recommend avoiding this place. Every appointment requires a 30-45 min wait, even if you arrive early, because they are "backed up. Today, I waited 45 min while clients who came in after were seen. When I finally got back there, the machine stopped four times during treatment. Then I was switched to another room half way through to finish up because the machine finally gave out. If you cannot make an appointment, rescheduling is a nightmare --usually months out. The staff is super friendly & professional, but not efficient in any capacity. My wife is a former laser technician and we were in town visiting family, she has heard a lot of good things about Simplicity so she decided to do a touch up. First off the technician, I think her name was "Chelsey" was extremely unprofessional. She treated my wife on the Yag which, according to my wife, is not the correct laser for her skin type (She is an alexandrite for those of you who know your lasers) second her spotting was way off, my wife has patches all over her, my wife could have done a better job blind folded. At the end of treatment she didn't go over any post care because my wife mentioned she was a tech so she just decided it wasn't "protocol" anymore. Pretty sure TDLR would disagree. We asked to speak to the manager and she said she wasn't available and we could leave her a message... So I finished my 2 year membership for full body laser. The results: OK. Not much difference on face, arms, or thighs. I still grow hair not as much but still very visible. My lower legs, armpits and brazilian are way better but I still get peach fuzz hair. But you would think after 2 year long sessions no hair would grow, well I was wrong. My skin is olive and my hair is dark but not too thick or thin so they said I would be a perfect candidate. I am not happy with results as I still grow hair and I hate to shave especially my arms, but I dont want to have to pay for another membership and go thru the hassle for booking with them again. IT SUCKS. They need to get more staff and machines or open a new location ASAP because if you have to reschedule its about a month to 2 month wait which I personally think is ridiculous. read more

I was hesitant to come here for my first time with laser hair removal given the mostly negative reviews, but I have had a great experience here! I got a deal on Groupon (seems crazy affordable compared to other places I researched) and scheduling an appointment was easy. I found everyone I spoke to super helpful and nice, not trying to up-sell me like some other reviewers said. The actual office is clean and bright. I have had to wait up to 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen, but once they see you it only takes a few minutes to get the laser work done. I have gone 4 times so far, and they say after your third appointment is when you should start noticing a significant reduction in hair growth, and I definitely agree. My only complaint is that the consistency of the area they actually get with the laser totally depends on your technician. I had 2 subpar experiences and 2 great ones.. I think Alexis was the best. I'm happy with my overall results even though I wish they were all equally conscientious. read more

Their customer service is horrible. I called to activate my unlimited body package and they said I can not go over an area that has already had a package. They told me this information was on their website which is not true I looked over the fine print several times. It says you can not buy the same package for the same area more than once. But the fine print did not say anything about using the unlimited to go over an area that has already been worked on. They tried to get me to enroll in a membership instead. They said they can put the money spent on the package towards a membership. This membership was 80$/month with a minimum of 24 months for a limited amount of areas, which would be close to 2,000 dollars for the 2 years and it would be limited. The package I bought costed $750 for unlimited areas for a year. Im really upset that they changed the rules on what the unlimited can be used for. I have been there before and their actual services are good but they try to push their memberships on clients. They also tell you In order to see results you need a minimum of 18 sessions just so you enroll in their membership. It definitely does not take 18 sessions to completely remove all the hair. I was looking forward to coming back but after their bait and switch packages I'm going to look for somewhere else.
