I love everything about this place. Kali, Chelsea, Diego...this family run business knows how to connect with customers and are pros. We found Simple Floors after having had some lousy interactions with stores in "Flooring Square", "The Tile District", or whatever that area around St. College is called. The people at those big places were put off, or didn't want to deal with our little 200 sq. ft. project we were doing. We happened to pass by Simple Floors and stopped in. Diego was engaged, friendly and patient as he showed us various options that would work for us. Everything went perfectly. The product was on time and ready for us just as promised. We knew that this was the place for us. Over the past six months, we have slowly been replacing our flooring with a Max Windsor product that has since been discontinued. We had three rooms left to do and Diego was able to track a load of our color that was on a ship off shore. Most companies would have said tough luck, that is discontinued, you should have purchased enough to complete your project. My husband and I ordered bamboo floors for most or our downstairs from Simple Floors. The bad: George told us the bamboo wasn't in stock in their warehouse and it would take about 3-5 weeks to get it in, hopefully just 3 weeks. Three weeks goes by, then 4, then 5. We check in and are told that it's being shipped on a boat from China where it's manufactured and it hasn't arrived yet. We check in again at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 8 weeks...finally it arrives 9 weeks after it was ordered. So yes, I was disappointed that my expectations for delivery date were set unrealistically. One star lost for that. The good: 1) We got the bamboo at a good price. 2) The bamboo is beautiful. 3) Sergio and his team did the installation and did a fabulous job (5 stars for installation). We had a tricky entry way where we installed a custom curved transition where the kitchen/dining room tile would meet the bamboo. Sergio and his team were tasked with cutting and installing the bamboo to butt against the curved metal divider we put in, as well as installing bamboo in the living room, hallway and 2 bedrooms and they did a really good job, very smooth and he finished by the date promised. I would definitely recommend Simple Floors for purchasing flooring, just beware about flooring that isn't in stock and the time it may take to arrive. I would highly recommend Sergio for the installation because he did a stellar job, even by my husband's standards (whose in the construction industry and deals with contractors all the time). read more

Simple floors just finished our installation, that spanned over a 3 month period. They installed approx 1800 sq feet of beautiful dark engineered hardwood and we couldn't be happier! We immediately felt comfortable with their family style business and professionalism. They have so many choices to choose from and are experts in their craft. Their installer, Rodrigo, was also friendly, efficient and worked hard to meet their deadline. In addition, we had a concurrent project of installing a new kitchen. Decisions, decisions... When my husband and I decided to purchase hardwood flooring, we did our research. Of course, we went on line. We traveled to different stores, getting 'professional' opinions and building our knowledge. The fact was that we didn't do our homework in our previous home, went for the cheap bid and regretted the hard wood installation ever since. This time was different. We walked into the small flooring store, Simple Floors, and thought we'd walk out in about 30 seconds. We were wrong. Diego greeted us right away, asked what we were looking for, and showed us the bamboo flooring I was describing. What I appreciated was that he asked more questions, then thought I might like another floor even more. Was he right! Diego showed us their handscraped wood floor, of which they had about 4 or 5 color options. I immediately saw that the sable would be perfect. This floor is like nothing I've seen before. It's an 8 inch plank, each unique and beautifully distressed. Aside from the small display samples, they also had a large board in the back of the store with quite a larger display, which I appreciated. You could see how the character of each plank became incredibly rich as several boards were placed together. Being extremely cautious, we asked for a sample and brought it to other stores to compare. We weren't able to. Nothing compared! In fact, when we looked at the sample next to even the most expensive flooring, there was no comparison. We took the plunge... Back at Simple Floors, Diego worked with us as if we've known him for years. He walked us through every step of the way, and delivered on every promise. Delivery was on time, and he arranged the installation through Joel at Triple J Flooring. Now, the installation... Joel is truly masterful! He saw to every detail around the steps, staircase and hallways. He was extremely flexible and worked around our schedule. Joel, too, delivered on his promises. Joe and Diego are customer service GODS. From the second I stepped into their store to the moment we made our final payment, they have been nothing but kind and professional. They both know how to install floors themselves so they know what you materials you will need and which ones will be best for your home's needs. They will also answer all the questions or concerns you may have (and boy, did I have a lot!). On top of that they were very accommodating. We wanted to pay for the floors and installation on our credit card to get the points (nerdy, I know). The floors were no problem to charge, but the installation was a different story. In the end, Diego let us pay with the card and he was flexible with our "payment plan." Once we picked out the floor, installation with Joel at Triple J Flooring came soon after - we just had to wait for all the materials to get "shipped." We had about 800 sqft to cover and we also wanted our stairs to be done as well. It took about 4 days of installation and the floor looks AMAZING! It's been 2 years since we used SimpleFloors and on this anniversary, I couldn't help but warn consumers of Diego and this company...DO NOT trust him or the company! Please avoid this company at all costs! Diego tells you everything you want to hear and as soon as the work starts (the work he negotiates for you and takes a cut in the back end), nothing is his fault. The reason I was reminded of this company and all of its failings is because after spending $13K on the floors, I am currently in the process of having to re-do my floors! I reported them to the parent company and all they do is tell me to call the store...ridiculous! I reported them to the BBB. Diego promised to fix it and provide materials at the time, but a year passed and still, no material, no fix, no answer from Diego. We used simple floors about 3 1/2 years ago to install wood flooring throughout our 2500 square foot house. Our installer was extremely rude and did an awful job. Literally left holes in multiple places throughout the house, forgot to put 1/4 round edging in some places, and even laid down the flooring over an area of our house where the floor was not level. Never discussed this with us prior to installing the floor. Now, we are also dealing with the flooring separating in some places, and crazy creaking! We literally cannot walk down our hallway without waking or baby! Now here are, years later, looking into getting our floors fixed after already spending over 20K, and it's only been 3 years. Do yourself a favor and find another vendor for your floors if you want good service and floors that will last you much longer than 3 years. read more

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Using Diego and Co was one of the biggest mistakes I have made in my remodel. All the negative reviews are 100% accurate and I wish I had read/listened. Diego was great until the work actually started. His installers are overworked and not professional in the slightest. Diego did not take care of ANY of the issues after the sloppy install. His warranty is worthless as are his assurances that he will take care of any problems that arise. . I would never recommend anyone to use this company. I am positive most if not all of the good reviews are posted by Diego and or his friends/family. If for some reason anyone reading this still wants to do business with him I would recommend getting EVERYTHING he says he will do in writing though I am sure he will find a way to scam you out of that as well. simpleFLOORS must not care about who they allow to sell/market their products. As an Austin resident with a newly emptied condo in Yorba Linda, I had one weekend to visit Simple Floors, make a judgement and request service. Diego and his son-in-law made everything work. Before I landed at SNA, they had dispatched a team to assess the size of the unit and within minutes of my arrival at their store, helped me select three attractive options. I paid and flew back to Texas, hoping all would work out. It did. The floors look great, helping me land a new tenant within days. And the attention to detail cannot be overstated. My father, an old-school veteran of the construction industry, inspected the unit afterwards and said he was impressed with the work. The guys over at Simple Floors are simply the best. They are very knowledgeable about flooring and are really interested in finding the right floors for you, regardless or price. I walked in with my family and looked at different samples. Joe spent a lot of time with us comparing flooring and asking a lot of questions of what we would need and want. We then sat down and wrote up a quote. I thought the price was fair, but I wanted to go to another flooring store just to compare. To make a long story short, I walked back in the same day and placed my order and booked a date for the install. The install went very well, the workers worked fast, but were meticulous in the detail. The end product looks fantastic. On top of the wood flooring, Diego (the owner) offered to do the kitchen as well. I originally thought I would just leave the existing flooring, but it looked weird, so I took Diego up on his offer. He was able, at very short notice, help me pick out the stone floor, and have it installed in less than a week. Not to mention, gave me a great deal on the extra work and materials. Customer Service = I'll give them 5 stars. Diego was very accommodating to our needs. 1. Our installer's estimate is a bit off from Diego's (we just verbally described our home). It was nice of him to be willing to buy back the product (unopened box) we don't use. This was a winner for me because ALL stores I've talked to wasn't willing to do this. 2. Even though we told him we weren't going to buy the padding from them, it was nice of him to educate us on different types of padding. In the end, since our installer couldn't find the type of padding we wanted, we ended up buying from Diego and oh boy, PRETTY QUIET! I jump around the house (workout) and you can barely hear anything! 2. Quick responses from Diego and his team. Price = 4.5 stars. I've been to so many flooring stores. The only reason why I'm holding off on giving them 5 star is because I could probably find it cheaper somewhere else (although I believe that by much). With the price we got it for, totally worth the energy and stress I saved myself. Quality - 5 stars. We've only had our floors installed for 2 months now but we are very happy with the quality and look. These guys are great and not just for floors. My mom needed a fireplace after the earthquake last year had cracked the brick. I went in and spoke to Diego, to my surprise he said he can get the tile for the fireplace. He hooked me up with a pass for a local stone company(not open to the public) which I then took my mother to peruse the variety of stone they had. She found one to fit her budget, as she is on a fixed income. Diego then had Reynaldo come to her house and take a look at the fireplace. My mom absolutely adored Reynaldo, saying he was the sweetest and one of the most polite men she has met. He did a great job making sure the stone was secure enough for another earthquake. My wife & I had been really wanting to get rid of our carpet throughout the house and install hardwood floor but weren't too sure where to start or where to go- there are so many flooring stores out there it felt overwhelming. My sister had told us that she had used this simpleFloors store a few years ago to purchase her hardwood flooring and told us not to bother looking anywhere else. She was absolutely right! Diego and his wife Carol were very welcoming and friendly right when we walked in and after talking with them about what kind of floor we would need- bamboo, engineered, laminate etc...- they steered us in the right direction and we chose engineered hardwood flooring. We narrowed it down to 3 colors, they told us to take the samples home & see how it looks w/our lighting and good thing we did because the color we originally wanted was way too dark with our house lighting. We ended up falling in love with the Galaxy Collection Mercury flooring, it fit our house perfect. We installed the floor ourselves and Diego was more than helpful in this process. He helped us with our layout, where and how to start laying the flooring, how to do the undercuts, gaps along walls, etc.... Diego was also just a phone call away, willing to take time and answer any questions and offer technical support while doing the installation and I definitely took advantage of that. They also sell baseboards and at a better price than other stores. We absolutely love our flooring and the both of us agree that Diego, his wife and staff were very trustworthy, honest & reliable. I honestly give this simpleFloors store my highest recommendation to anyone looking for flooring. Diego and Kali are really a great team! They are so helpful and boy do they know their flooring and carpet! They genuinely care about helping their customers! My wife and I went in to their store looking for engineered hardwood flooring. Kali was so helpful and insightful when picking out samples. We weren't even considering laminate but Kali dug one up that my wife actually liked over the eng hardwood. They let us take as many samples home with us for review. They came out to to our condo within 2 days. Diego, while measuring out our condo gave us suggestions on how a carpet/laminate installation would work for stairway to landing transitions. He recommended to do laminate for our first floor landing since it was a high traffic area and would wear on the carpet. It also would look cleaner. At first I was hesitant but after pondering his suggestion, we realized that he was right! Will update with further developments. read more
