Yes, their office is gorgeous and straight out of Architectural Digest, and the staff is fawning, like overly needy friends (the word "Stepford" comes to mind) -- until the deal is closed. I went to Center for Smiles when my previous dentist, Dr. Kuncio, sold her practice to him. He turned out to be the opposite of Dr. Kuncio, who was honest and straightforward, and very mindful of what her patients could afford. To my knowledge, none of her staff who went to work at Center for Smiles is still employed there. Indeed, there seemed to be a high turnover of staff at Center for Smiles in the 15 months I was a patient there. Some highlights: 1. Vidya Sartorious, the office manager, collected $6,000 from Care Credit on my behalf when only $1,100 worth of work had been done. 2. Failed to file for preauthorization with my denta; insurance, as promised, so my claim was denied. 3. Vidya Sartorious (at the behest of Dr. Rallis) tried to rush me into completing this work, and pushed up demands for MORE money, directly contradicting Dr. Rallis' prior verbal agreements with me. 3. Dr. Rallis did not listen to my concerns, and failed to reconsider his treatment plan for a $23K bridge, even after I repeatedly expressed doubt because of underlying infections and pain in the affected teeth. ("We can take care of that infection afterwards, with an apicoectomy." But first we will put a $23K 10-tooth bridge on top? Umm,no.) 4. After I appealed to Care Credit, Dr. Rallis claimed to have done an additional $1645 worth of work, which, if true, was done without my knowledge, permission, or consent. I expressly withdrew my consent that very day, before this work was done, until my insurance preauthorization was worked out. I did not and would not have given permission for this work. I only agreed to a temporary bridge. 5. Did not file with my insurance company for this additional work, either, although it would have been denied for failure to get a preauthorization, the issue I confronted them with that very day. 6. Has yet to send me a copy of my x-rays after several months, and refused delivery of my second, certified mail request. This is just the tip of the iceberg of this very unfortunate experience, with further legal action pending.

He went to Dr. Ralis because his previous dentist retired and sold her practice to Dr. Ralis. His charge was $800 more than my dentist whom my son ultimately used. After Dr. Ralis assessed him for the root canal he suggested that even though my son was having no problems, that he have his wisdom teeth pulled and then Dr. Ralis would adjust his bite. When my son asked my dentist about this, he said that yes his bite was a little off but there was no negative impact and no reason to do the work if he wasn't having any issues. I can only imagine what Dr. Ralis would have charged. As another reviewer said , they are overly fawning. They try to act as if they are your best friends not your dentist. They also convinced me to buy an electric tooth brush from them for $150 that i could have gotten online for $110. Very sorry I was pressured and taken in my them for that but very happy they didn't do my son's root canal. My advice is to go elsewhere. I see Dr Michael Feldstein in Flushing. He is honest, competent and reasonably priced. I would recommend him. Stay away from Dr. Ralis and Center for Smiles

The task was enormous - at least to me it certainly had sounded overwhelming. But Dr. G's incredible patience and thoughtfulness, and the respectful manner in which he explains everything - treating you as a partner rather than simply a patient - made me choose him over two other doctors I had been considering. And I am so happy I did! Today, after many months or our collaboration I am in a very different place: medically, aesthetically, and emotionally. What's also very important to me is that Dr. Gerskowitz looks at the patient and his/her health in a integral way, which so rare at our time of infinite specialization. He is a real master. His approach is careful and intelligent, and what they call "bedside manner" is superb: once you are in his office, you immediately feel at ease. Dr. Gerskowitz is simply the best dentist I've seen in my life and one of the very best doctors of any specialization I've encountered. I just wish I found him earlier. The staff is equally great - I use this office now for my general dental maintenance and checkups. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. I normally go to the River Edge office, but have been to the Wayne location, too. Dr. G.'s practice is the place I recommend to my friends and family - that says it all. The young lady dentist assigned to me was very inexperienced. She extracted the molar by chipping and hacking away where she eventually removed the molar in pieces. I ended swallowing bits of the molar. In that visit, since I had insurance , this place did anything and everything to max out as much as they could from my insurance. I was told that 25% of the bill had to be paid upfront, which was $588. That night I bled quite a bit and had tremendous discomfort. The next day my face was swollen and I had a slight fever and realized something wasn't right. I When to another Dentist to get to the bottom of why I was bleeding so much and had this puffiness and why I had all this discomfort. Was told that the reason I bled so much was because the stitching done at this Avant garde place was because it was done on one side of the gum and that the stitching should've have been done in a cross road method as opposed to one side of the gum and the grafting to cover the hole in the gum area was not there. Was also told that I also had an infection as well and was given a prescription. I ended Spending an additional $750 to correct this mess done at Avant garde. To add insult to injury, no pun intended, Avant garde wanted another$1,590. I left skid marks at Avant garde. As mentioned, it was a horrible experience. Stay away...

Chris was very upbeat, cheery and pleasant. She was very conscious to check with me to make sure I wasn't experiencing any pain. Once she was done Dr. Parnika Bhatag came in examined my teeth and gave me a plan to get back on track. Dr. Bhatag was very professional, along with her entire staff. The office itself was very neat clean and comfortable. Soft Care Dental is located in downtown Warren in the strip mall near Alfie's Restaurant. There is plenty of free parking. Upon a follow up visit to the Dr and for those of you horsing why would you go back to the same Dr well we were $38,000 into it so we had to finish this with this Dr the doctor then proceeded to drop the same exact instrument down her throat again now the doctor claims she has never in all her ears drop this instrument down anybody's throat, but yet managed to do it to my daughter twice my daughter already had issues with Dentist, hence needing such extensive dental care the Dr solution to this was not to send her to the hospital this time just go home and pass it on your own. I'm sure you will with no regard for the fact that by doing that if she had aspirated that instrument into her lungs, it could've killed her, but because she didn't want it on record that it happened twice we just sent her home. now in speaking with the doctor and trying to work this out amicably and come to some type of reconciliation the doctors solution to that was and is, oh I can take care of her bottom teeth for you for $35,000 more is she kidding, in what world would I ever do that? However within an hour of making the appointment received a call to confirm. I spoke quickly, as I too am in healthcare and don't answer the phone while at work. I shared my email asked for patient forms to be sent. That way I could arrive at 9am. Not earlier to complete the forms. My app was for 9am the following Saturday . Wednesday I even emailed them my prior dental X-rays. Thought that was confirmation enough I was coming. Throughout the week I received 9 phone calls and text messages as reminders. On my way to the offices they called again. I printed out the paperwork had it completed and on a clipboard as I walked in at 8:59am. There were 4 staff members there no one else in the waiting room no other cars in the parking lot. The first thing I heard was 'your late'. What a warm welcome. It was wet, rainy and as a type 1 diabetic i do my to be prepared. I was on time! But wow no hello or welcome. I was about to hand over my completd forms when I mentioned the overwhelming calls were a bit aggressive. The office manager, Maureen response was so many people are no shows. My response was TY for respecting me and putting me in with others. I was sure those others also emailed their reports, X-rays and verbally confirmed at least 3 out of the 9 times I was contacted. At that point I decided to leave. They lost a family because of aggressive patient treatment. I'm sitting in the parking lot already booked another appointment for 2 hours from now. Not one other patient or car has come into the lot. Don't think it's the Dentist.

Best dentist!! I…read morehate dentist. I mean a truly loathe going to dentist since I was a kid. Really bad experiences!!! I starting going to Marini and Manci a couple of yeas ago. This place is awesome!!! The office looks like a bar lounge and was updated a couple of years ago. The receptionist are friendly and helpful. The techs know their stuff and don't mind telling you like it is. I know, I know I gotta floss regularly. All the dentist care and do want they can to help you out. My wife had a cracked tooth and they did a great job fixing it. I had a toothache and they fit me in within an hour of calling them. Hands down the best in the area. Highly recommend. Have Fun
