I looked at his work online. His work looks incredible, and I was just doing my homework before me and my husband made the trip to New Jersey, but you don't have to beat me to listen!!!! I went there after I lost a tooth because he had an advertisement stating dental implants for $1000. They told me the 1k was just for the implant, to have it installed was an additional $5675. So the total price was $6675. What a joke! Did they really think people were just going to buy the tooth and put it in themselves? Then they told me my broken off tooth that was partially still there was infected, well that was more than six months ago, and I was at another dentist since then and she said there was no infection what so ever. I went here because I saw an ad online for $1000 dental implants. They did an exam and tried to sell me one dental implant for $5300. That's for one tooth! You can buy a decent used car for that money. I thought I read it wrong and maybe it was just $1000 off, but no. They are scammers. Dr. Jonathan Abenaim is horrible. My sister paid Dr. Jonathan $60,000 and was left devastated. After the surgery, when covers were removed, she was shocked to see Dr. Jonathan removed 12 good teeth from her mouth without her consent. He destroyed her gums, left her with implants that don't fit her mouth and in constant pain. She hasn't been able to eat solid food and lost 20 pounds in a few months. He refused to return her money and she had to file a report with the NY Attorney General's Office. Dr. Jonathan was unprofessional, impatient and hostile and aggressive. My sister is a small woman and a senior citizen. She was rushed into signing long complicated paperwork and her money was quickly processed. She had to file a police report to document the horrible treatment she received. Dr. Jonathan should have his license revoked. Be careful with this dentist, They are not transparent. make sure you ask lots of questions. I actually had to report Dr. Jonathan to the NJ Board of Dentistry to get some of my money back. He charged my care credit account before the work is done, which is illigal. since he is not paticipating with my insurance, I asked a copy of my x-ray and they were charghing me $100 dollar to e- mail it. Awful experience! Zero stars. I know it sounds trite, but I rarely if ever write reviews. I had to sign up with yelp to write this because I felt obligated to let people know the truth. I will never go back but I feel obligated to let others know so they don't have the same experience. I read reviews and was misled. They write their own glowing reviews on YP. I found someone who used to work there ( after the fact). It makes sense when going back and all of the reviews are complete sentences and stress the same qualities. They also use all caps to accentuate. Don't trust them. They also kept asking me to write them "positive" reviews only. I've never been intimidated by a dental visit until I went here. Awful! They seemed so nice over the phone and the hygienist was nice enough hut then the dentist comes to see you... Just wait. I apparently needed invisiline, 7 fillings removed, Botox every three months in my jaw for clenching, and a mouth guard... Haha! They were telling me this with a straight face. I was laughing inside thinking, " do you think I'm a fool? Do you hear yourselves?" I was shocked and could not get out fast enough. Ive seen many other dentists and I never needed any of these things. Also they were pressuring me to pay for all of those procedures that day for a 10% discount. It was beyond bizarre. My cleaning came out up be $420!!!! They made me pay it there and now I have to get reimbursed through my insurance. Also when i called to find out if they took my insurance before my appt they told me yes no problem. I found out after the visit they were out of network. Which they conveniently didn't tell me because they can charge more $. They wouldn't let me leave with the costs of the procedures they were suggesting. I wanted to run them by my insurance company. This dentist is a modern day sheister. I posted it on a local page in Hawthorne asking if anyone had a similar experience and bounds of people told me to run as fast as I could from this place. People who know the dentist say he isn't quite right ( in the head). After meeting him I totally understand. Look elsewhere!!! Terrible experience. My jaw still hurts from where he pressed his finger to try to prove I needed a mouth guard. No, I just need you to get your damn finger out of my mouth you sociopath! Very, very weird place. ZERO STARS. I do not know how this place is still in business. It was a complete waste of my time, I went to them because I saw their FALSE advertisement about Invisalign online. Turns out its just as expensive with their '$1000" dollars off b*******. The lady at the front desk actually had the nerve to ask me word for word "why I wasted the doctors time, " when I told her I wasn't comfortable doing the invisalign procedure at my free consultation session. I mean isn't that what a consultation is? To find out what the procedure is all about and how much it costs the patient? They were terribly fake trying to sell the fact that they were a "dental spa" and the doctor was a jerk, he was judgemental and rude to his tech (who btw is the only kind soul in the entire office).
