I did get a call that my prescription was ready for pick up on Monday morning but I had already flown out at 6:00 am that morning. I was a former outpatient client under the original ownership (Jim and Marilee) as of only two…read moremonths ago. Jim and Marilee created the most successful drug, alcohol, and eating disorder programs in the state. I have them to thank for a new lease on life. Unfortunately, Jim sold his company and contracts to the new current ownership that deceitfully agreed to keep the IOP and aftercare program under Jim's supervision. This did not happen, the new owners removed the day program within a few short months after the sell was final because "it wasn't making enough money" (paraphrasing). Now us aftercare and outpatients have had nowhere to go with ZERO communication from the new owners. Also, the new owners didn't even keep Jim's experienced staff and counselors who are now out of a job. I have Jim, Marilee, Christy, Ginger, and Jill to thank for my recovery. Jim and his staff created a wonderful family like environment and now that is all lost because the new owners only care about the all mighty dollar.

I started with Jennifer recently in looks for an EMDR specialized therapist that took my insurance. Her website was very enticing and seemed to be a good fit with how she advertised herself. I began using her services and quickly I found out she was not a good fit. I wanted to give her some time to see if the rapport would build. I am someone who does not have a set schedule and she highly pushed for a weekly appointment. I also work with another therapist who does not take my insurance but absolutely have seen improvement and help with that one, so I was dividing time between the two of them. I am also in the travel industry and do NOT have a set schedule so my schedule changes weekly; some weeks are busier than others. I told her weekly would not work with me, and bi weekly would be best. She canceled the next appointment and I would continue with the following week. The following week ended up I needed to travel and needed to cancel that appointment as well. She makes you sign a cancellation policy which states cancellations you pay out of pocket, which is standard if you are cancelling 24 hours or less. I canceled my appointment 3 days prior with ample time within policy guidelines. I immediately got an email for rescheduling and I stated I would not be able to reschedule due to overloaded schedule. She then proceeded to tell me that since I cancelled I would have to pay out of pocket 140$ since she gave me a "free bee" cancellation already. Again she did not, that is when I told her I was switching to bi weekly because I did not want to continue weekly with her. I truly believe she is in this profession for self gain and not to truly help others. In 15 years I have never had such an absurd canceling process like it is a blood oath to go to a therapist that you reach out to for help. Do yourself a favor, unless you want to be burdened and bound to this therapist. Seek someone who truly wants to help and not find a way to take your money at any means possible. If you are seeking someone's services, you shouldn't be forced to. If you seek a hair stylist and you cancel an appointment within respectable amount of time, do they force you to go and get their services? No. I felt like I was in another forceful trapped relationship with my therapist. It's a NO for me.

My brother got accepted in the program and is now more than half way accomplished. Things are getting tough for him with the meetings because he is a shy person but the counselors there are very helpful and supportive. Marvin (case manager) took the time out of his busy schedule to sit with us and counsel not only my brother but me as well. He let us know that it is normal to feel like leaving the program and he let me know that my brother trusted me for letting me know he was having feelings of wanting to leave. My brother is now saying he doesn't want to give up, he doesn't want to quit and he wants to graduate. Marvin went as far as to showing us a graduation diploma to show us the end results. I am so grateful for every person in that program. Bear , Tory , Melanie, Wanda and also the clients. They are all very helpful , His House has a deep family vibe , that is really hard to find in any facility. They are also very thorough in making sure the establishment stays safe by having safety guidelines for visits. I was so impressed to see my brother studying the Big Book. I can go on about the great things His House is doing for the clients. As of now my brother still hasn't graduated His House program, but I know he is in great hands. The staff is very knowledgeable , very educated and very experienced.

I was targeted by Brittney, she would just spread personal information that fell under HIPPA to other clients and staff. I am extremely infuriated at the way they treated me when I was put on a second behavioral contact over a misunderstanding. They then literally watched me pack my stuff and kick me out to the street, and told me to find my own way home. I will be pursuing legal action for this mistreatment.

I participated in every single group and never missed a single day. during my stay someone relasped on meth and was allowed back into the program. I was let go after crying and begging to stay for hitting my weed vape pen , admitting it and promising I would stop bc I needed this accountability . They refused and asked me to leave . I want everyone to know I left and went to a place called Totality . That continues to work with me and every single client to ensure they can stay and work on themselves. I also recently saw a client that relapsed back at clear again . I have been sober ever since , and that is because of leaving clear and finding a place that is welcome to all addicts and alcoholics with open arms . Sonya, her receptionist and medical assistant, has been employed there for many years. She has been so helpful when it comes to mapping appointments and getting referrals. It is a small office and practically a 2 woman show. If Sonya is unable to answer the phone, Dr. Sun answers the phone. Both are very helpful. Dr. Sun as a family practice doctor is very thorough. She takes her time. She is very soft-spoken, so for those with hearing problems, it is very difficult to understand her. I go to the appointments with my mom. I'm in the medical field. I understand her just fine. She is very polite and patient. She has referred my mom to wonderful specialists. She has taken care of my mom's health for many years and has done a fantastic job! I highly recommend her.
