I don't know where to start. I've been coming here for years, at least 8-10 years. This place is my second home. I know over the years and through the pandemic things have changed. Thee OG staff I do miss. There's two Drs and 1 remaining assistant that I cannot recommend enough. Firstly, D.O Daniel W Lane literally saved my life. I've been his patient for many years prior to him working here at this location. I've had a lot going on in my life over the last decade and he's been with me every step of the way. He's so passionate about what he does and helping people. He genuinely and wholeheartedly cares about people in general but especially us (his patients). He's so dedicated and committed to helping me in my mental health journey as well as my entire health. He's very intelligent, knowledgeable not only in his field (psychiatry) but medicine, and general medical practice. He's well seasoned. Thorough. Understanding. He's amazing at listening. He makes it a priority to really know you, how you think, your life. He never makes decisions without consent or my opinion. It's really a team effort type of treatment. He always wants to make sure i feel comfortable and safe. There's very few people in this world that I trust and he's 1 of them. When I'm feeling really depressed, spiraling, if something major happens or need to give any updates or just need support he's always there. I can go on and on about how awesome he is, how he's beyond an amazing Dr, how he sets an example of how Drs should really be and how we as patients should be treated, how he holds himself accountable and sets high standards for himself. Dr. Lane can never ever be replaced. He is a rare type. I'm so blessed to be a patient of his. He himself is a blessing. I appreciate him and hope he knows how thankful I truly am. Now, Verenice Dr. Lanes right hand "man" woman. Not only are they the Best combo working together, they complement each other but they share the same qualities and values. She really cares about my ( our us patients) wellbeing but she really loves helping others. I've relied on her countless times more like all the time. I can call her, leave her a message, an email and she always responds, she always shows up no matter what. She follows through. I'm beyond confident in her. The amount of support, the emergency sessions she's booked for me, the phone calls where I've cried on the phone, the endless amount of kindness and compassion and empathy she's shown. She also gives so much of herself. I'm so lucky to have her in my corner. I appreciate her as well. I honestly can't give her and Dr. Lane enough credit. Not only do I recommend on her, on any website, but to everyone in need of help. If you are lucky enough to be treated by Dr. Lane you will never ever want another Dr and will always compare every specialist and staff to him and Verenice. And for the Grand finale Amy Herter :) has been my therapist, my go to, my sounding board, my unconditional daily support system. I see her multiple times per week for years. Dr. Lane actually referred me to her for CBT and I'm so thankful for that because I couldn't have made it through, I couldn't have progressed thus far, I couldn't be a better person without her. She's non-biased and genteelly tells it how it is when needed. She kindly encourages me in my daily life taking in consideration all my health problems, my chaotic family and life problems. She celebrates all my small and big wins and talks me through life's challenges and disappointments. She has and continues to just sit with me even in silence so I can breakdown, ramble just so that I don't feel alone and feel safe to be so vulnerable with her. I never feel judged by her. I trust her so much. I'm comfortable with her. No matter what time or day I know I can always call her or text if I need her support. She offers so much. She's so friendly, she's funny, totally down to earth, she's brilliant. She's experienced in so many categories and life itself. She's very loyal. Very honest. Amy embodies all the amazing qualities as one would want in a friend by really setting thee perfect example. She helps me to realize how important I am in life and how deserving I am. When I can't find my purpose Amy reminds me of all that I have. I couldn't survive without her. For anyone looking for or needs or wants to try therapy HANDS DOWN you need Amy. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Robert Gordon for about 7 years or so. He is very knowledgeable about anxiety and depression issues. He is also very understanding about people in general. This office also has several psychologists on board and a large staff. My medicine needs are always taken care of whether it be a 3 month pharmacy or local. I recommend Dr. Gordon. read more

Well, first time here and my appt was at 12 noon. I get here a little early to do some paperwork, and I finish at around 12:05. As I'm finishing up my paperwork, another patient comes in and says she is here to see Dr.Yuri Villaruel. Hmm, crazy, because thats who my appt is with too. So now me and the other patient are both in the waiting room and they call the other lady to come on in at around 12:10. I wait and I wait, and at 12:30 I ask the front desk if my appt was at 12 or 1. They check their book and they confirm it was for 12. I mention that they called in the other patient at around 12 to see the same doctor. They check again and they say "oh, her appt was at 11:45." So, now it's almost 12:45 and I'm still in the waiting room. Basically, you can show up on time but if whoever behind you is late then they will just make every appt thereafter late, so you're SOL. read more

Sad to say, Dr. Robert Gordon, psychiatrist is retiring Nov. 2022. How can he have a life outside of being the BEST psych there is???!!! LOL He's been my knowledgeable doctor for 15 years. Some of his best attributes: He ALWAYS listened to my opinion and comments on my meds. THEN, we would discuss them and he would recommend changes. What MD listens to their patient? He ALWAYS returned my phone calls that SAME day, albeit sometimes it was at night. He worked my medication cocktail very conservatively, a little change at a time. Over the years we have had to change mine a few times. Upland's office staff were professional and kind (they must be when working in the mental health field.) He told me there is not a psychiatrist MD within the medical group, that I could transfer to. VERY SAD. Thank you Dr. Gordon for being a wonderful doctor who truly cared about your patients. I got a referral from a friend to go see Amy Herter. This office is professional, the receptionist who checked me in was knowledgeable and able to walk me through the entire process of what I can expect. I was put on a cancellation list and they actually made an effort to fit me in earlier than I had expected which I appreciated immensely. The therapist was timely and friendly. The session was filled with warmth and productivity. I felt comfortable and at ease with my whole experience and upon completion, signing up for my next session was easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Dr. Fultz for counseling is an F student. He sat back in the corner behind his desk, looking at his phone. I called him out on it!! I don't know what he was doing. I told him in my life span, I've been to counselors and NEVER A ONE had his terrible body language. I came to him for grief counseling and he insisted I take DSM mental disability test. He knew my psychiatrist and my disorder - that's not what I was there for! Then that bad person reported to my psych that I was a schizophrenic!!! WTHeck!!! He was short with my grieving and seemed to be uncaring. Partway through this 2nd appt., I stood up and critiqued him to his face. He was aweful. I walked past his office staff and told them I would NOT pay for this appt!!! Now I'm here to sound the alarm. read more

Dr. Daniel Raker is an excellent Therapist who I have been seeing for a while. He is kind, gentle, understanding, respectful and also practices EMDR which is a bonus. However he has not used this technique on me. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled as he has helped me tremendously and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help. His office is a long way from where I live, and I do not like driving, but I look forward to my appointments to see him as he always makes me feel good. read more

I had an appointment which I had to wait one month for it was cancelled because therapist would not be in office on my appt day and time. I don't understand why even schedule me for that date and time I. The first place so I'm waiting another month to see therapist. They seem to be very unorganized. Do NOT GO HERE. They never answers phones. Left numerous voicemails and they wont call back for a bill that should be credited. My wife saw them once and had a follow up but she was really sick and hospitalized (about to die). We called them and left a voicemail about her situation. They charged a $60 fee for cancellation and when our insurance didn't pay that ridiculous bill they are threatening to send it to collection, but they wont answer their phones to talk to us. Mind you they call themselves mental health experts but they play with your mental health. Furthermore, their staff at the office have the nastiest attitude. Do not let this office ruin your time find someone else. I wish i could give them zero stars. read more

I was originally seeing David Light at this location, but he has since left the office, so I was set up with a new psychiatrist within the same office. The day I get there for my appt I am told that the psychiatrist I was paired with doesn't accept my insurance and since I haven't been seen by them yet, I can't get a refill approved for my empty prescription. I was told that the office made several attempts to call me before the appt and that my voice-mail was disabled or full, but this was not the case. I received only one call from them a week prior to my appt (no attempts were made after that) and my voice-mail is working just fine as I was receiving voice-mails from my pharmacy letting me know of my empty refills. I find it so wrong that this office is okay to let a patient walk away without a refill of a medication they've been on for years and allow them to go through withdrawals and all the other negative effects that come with stopping a medication abruptly because of their own error of setting up an appt without verifying insurance and then lying about their attempts to reach me. That's a pretty horrible thing to do to someone who relies on their medication to function. They offered me an out-of-pocket appt, but I can't afford that and I shouldn't have to. read more

Horrible office! Therapists come and go. The office staff is lazy at best. Phones are never answered and messages are not returned. I have been in the waiting room while the phones ring and the three office people sit around laughing and telling jokes. This practice is extremely unprofessional. Not a great way to treat people who are looking for help. read more

I haven't even been able to see a therapist, so this review is on the office in general. I've made two appointments, but was unable to be seen either time. The first appointment, they called the day before, needing to reschedule with another doctor, because he was not accepting new patients. The second appointment they called the day of, saying that they would need to reschedule because the therapist does not take new patients at the 6pm scheduled time. Mind you, when I call, I tell them I am a new patient, and need an evening time of 5:30 at the earliest. And because I need a later time, the first available appointments were a month and a half out, and they waited until the day before, and the day of to call to reschedule!!? Don't they have notes on each doctor, to indicate what each one accepts and doesn't accept!!? Now, here I sit, with some huge family issues, and no help. Back to square one, 3 months later. Very unprofessional psychiatrist that deserves ZERO stars! I'm a disabled Veteran and needed a third party diagnosis which I got plus some that was total BS. After I heard back from the VA about my rating I then get a notice from the VA that I'm being rated incompetent and can no longer handle my finances which I find highly amusing since I run my own successful business. I review the form the doctor filled out after a 20 whopping minute interview and discover that he checked a box for incompetent and in the notes for the reason he put wife handles finances! Really! This is not the 50's! Women can handle the money just as well as men and it would be really silly for both spouses to handle the bills and lead to unnecessary confusion. So I call up to see about getting a letter that there was a miscommunication about the finances and that I'm more than able to handle them. The secretary tells me that the Dr will not give me a letter and the decision is final. So I wait a few months and decide to make a new appointment altogether for a new diagnosis and they tell me the Dr had closed my file and I can no longer be seen there! Stay away from this place or you might be the next one typing up a one star review. read more

Its not so much the Doctors, Dr Gordon, and Singh were great but we had to get another doctor because they were no longer in Chino, on the new doctor he seemed fine, only saw him once, it was the ignorant front office girl Jennifer who gave us such a bad time, we've been going there for years and only paid 20 copay, she, with an attitude said that he is a specialist and it would be 40.00, I argued this saying I just saw another doctor 2 months ago and it is only 20 and I have to pay 40, what do you know, I have a 20 dollar credit and should of only paid 20, she didn't even call me back on this like she said she would, I had to call her, because they have ignorant staff like her I will not go back. read more
