I've seen Dr. Hla Hla Yee since I was 14, and it's been ten years since then. She's a compassionate and caring psychiatrist who provides helpful lifestyle advice and is willing to listen if you have any concerns or questions about medications. She's the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. She helped diagnose me with ADHD after years of academic struggle in my teens, and she knows a lot about ADHD medications, even all of the newer ones. I highly recommend her! Additionally the office is always good at sending appointment reminders/confirmation calls, and helping me book my appointments many months in advance. If anyone is having issues with office staff it's because their original lady Theresa switched jobs (funnily enough she works at the medical clinic I go to for physical therapy now) and since then there's been a very high turnover of front desk staff; almost every time I've had appointments the past two years it's been a new person. That's not the fault of the business owner if they are struggling to find good, consistent staff members. As someone who works at a small business myself I can understand how hard hiring reliable people can be. Once you get past any scheduling issues it's worth it to stay. Getting your foot in the door of a doctor's office is always the hardest part, but it gets easier after that. read more

Believe every review that you see both here and on Google about their receptionist at the front desk. I called in asking to see if they had any therapists that were willing to work with new patients using EMDR. EMDR therapy is used for post traumatic stress disorder and their offices popped up when I looked into it on my insurance portal. As a receptionist, there should be at least some type of knowledge base for something like this. I don't expect the front desk receptionist to know exactly what the therapy entails, or even what it is in all honesty, but I do expect her to be able to at least show kindness and not sound like a condescending snob over the phone. Look Wendy, it's not my fault that you don't know very simple things about your job after 20 years. I'm sorry you're still there seeing that you seem to hate the people who come in so much. All I ask is that you either figure yourself out and learn how to treat people with common decency, or retire soon to give the job to someone who deserves it more. read more

I was referred to Dr. Kyaw over 6 years ago after another inpatient stay at a Psychiatric facility. I was on so many different medication's for my condition, it wasn't until I was working with Dr K that he figured out the right combo. Based on my behavior he determined I had bipolar 2 with manic behavior which explained so much. He is the only psychiatrist I've ever been to that actually takes his time with you making sure all of your questions are answered before you leave. I can't recommend him enough. He is an amazing doctor and knows how to get to the root of the problem. His staff, Teresa especially, are all so helpful. I have provided my therapist with his name to refer her patients to which she has been doing for the last few years. Even though I recently moved to Texas I still see him every 3 months and can reach him with questions through a web portal where he responds in a day or so. I brought my mother to MVBH to see Dr. Hanna for different reasons but a significant one was her loss of appetite and near daily insomnia. PLEASE READ!! Please note: It was my last phone call with the scheduler that provoked me to speak up about my encounter at MVBH. I was going to keep my entire experience with this office to myself but her snotty attitude and lack of professionalism was such a representation of the culture of this place that it warrants a warning to anyone seeking compassionate help. We have a dying world out there and this office isn't helping the situation. My experience at this office was very disheartening. This office is the reason people walk away and live (or don't live) with their mental health issues. I strongly encourage anyone that needs help to keep trying, but to avoid this office. It started with the receptionist COMPROMISING PATIENT CONFIDENTIALTY when she told me the last patient "had a lot of issues and problems, way more than normal, so it took Dr. Hanna a long time to go over all of them". Then it was my turn. In addition to my experience of having to remind Dr. Hanna that I was a patient not a number, I felt bullied and was told that only my physical symptoms are important to her. A counselor can figure out the rest. She asked me numerous times how old I was and I eventually had to confront her about her attitude and ask her to start over. If I hadn't had experience with great psychiatrists in the past, I surely would have given up on getting help after my experience at this office. I also witnessed the front desk staff mistreating another patient who mistakenly had the wrong time for their appointment. Never mind that Dr. Hanna runs extremely late, without apology, but the receptionist was rude and quick to remind them that "well, we are still charging you $85 for today" as she sent them away, without the patient's much needed meds, to "stick it out" until Dr. Hanna could charge them another $85 to write them a script in 30 seconds, two weeks later. I even offered my appointment time to be sure this young person got his much needed medication. Nope. Too bad for the patient that needs his meds! Additionally, never mind that they moved my appointment around at the last minute and then rushed me out in 30 min. because Dr. Hanna was not only running late but had a personal matter to get to. Hypocrisy at its finest. In my opinion, if you are going to be in the mental health profession, you should have compassion and professionalism in the forefront. Otherwise, all the campaigning to encourage people to get help is nothing but a huge propaganda to exploit those in need. You never know who is walking into your office or where they are at. Sadly, the afternoon I was standing in their office watching them discard another patient, we heard several sirens go by. They were fire trucks on their way to a scene where a young girl was moments from jumping off an overpass of a freeway. She didn't survive the fall. No family should ever have to go through this. Every life matters! Your mental health professionals should care about your mental health, not just their own life and their bank account. I pray this office will have a change of culture and remember why their patients are there in the first place. read more

The staff at Mountain View behavioral health are knowledgeable, efficient and understanding. I've seen Dr. Hanna at the Mountain View Behavioral Health for seven years. I started going to her for treatment of my bipolar disorder. She has always been extremely professional and knowledgeable. She is not only a psychiatrist but she is a psychopharmacologist. That means she has an intimate knowledge of the interaction between drugs. She also knows the effect on certain drugs depending on the age group of the person. While I have ADD and was interested in something to help with it such as Adderall, she would not prescribe it to me because if you're over the age of 65 it can have bad side effects read more

I have been coming here for about 5 years now. The only reason I stayed is because I loved Susan for therapy. Sadly, she passed away. I still go to see Dr Hannah since she has all my records. I'd have to say that Dr Hannah is one of the rudest doctors let alone person I have ever encountered!!! She's very disrespectful when talking to you and makes me feel like I do not matter! She is very unprofessional and is condescending! She talks down to me and does not listen to anything I say every single time I see her. She is also always late, running behind by 30 minutes to an hour and shows no remorse for taking time out of my busy day and making me late to other events I have planned! I saw her today and she was arguing with me that I did not see her since June when I was there recently. Even if I was wrong she did not have to give me a bad attitude that she gave. Ken is the absolute best therapist my family could have ever hoped for. Our son is high functioning ASD and Ken has been so instrumental in helping our family navigate his needs. Teresa is the heart and soul to this place in the front office. She is the most amazing woman I have ever met. We had our daughter after years of infertility treatments and she made her a crocheted blanket and beanie. This office was our family. We made a decision to move out of state and on our last visit there after four years I cried in the car. Ken got my son an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and had a party with him in their break room. I have to agree with the comments that Dr. Hanna is very difficult. I never was able to really make a connection with her as her patient. My husband saw Judith as she was an amazing counselor for him. The only reason I currently come to this facility is because my previous doctor left this practice and transferred my care over to Dr. Hanna, which has been nothing but a disappointment. She is constantly running behind, sometimes by an hour or more. She doesn't take the time to talk through symptoms or problems that her patients have and she is always scatterbrained and unorganized. She once forgot my name, didn't bother to ask me what it was and was reading from the WRONG FILE for part of my appointment. Please save your time and money and go somewhere else. Ken Kaiser is great. I have been seeing him for a long time with many on going issues in my life. The receptionist Theresa is very nice and efficient too. The staff in general seem fine for the most part. On the other hand, my wife has seen Dr. Hanna and she did not like her either and quickly ask to see a different Psychiatrist. I had been trying to get my therapist to work along side her because I simply do not trust Dr. Hanna. My therapist attempted to get in contact with her and was told by the receptionist that she does not have a voicemail. My therapist told the receptionist that she was unable to reveal my personal information. Why doesn't this woman have a voicemail? Even her staff at the front say she's incredibly difficult to work with. I saw her today and basically told her I wasn't going to come back and she had such an attitude and would barely look at me. I saw Dr. Hanna for two years and finally had enough. She doesn't care or listen. I had to wait for sometimes an hour then she would tell me that it was a privilege for her to make time to see me. He talked down to me. When I asked questions she said it was rude and that it was a sign that I was challenging her. She wanted to put me on a blood pressure med that I couldn't take because it would drop my pulse and send me to the hospital. She said well then I can't help you I have other patients to see.
