2 over easy eggs, and monte cristo a must try!

Came here twice because the food was that good! We never had to wait for a table and there are seats outside as well. Our waiter Luis was charming and pleasant. He gave us some recommendations for breakfast and we were not disappointed. There was an instant connection with him. Another excuse for our revisit. Simple Food started with several food trucks and now they have a location in Luquillo. This is the place to go for breakfast. You don't want to miss out. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Due to seating capacity there is usually a wait but it's worth it. Everything we got was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was jam packed with bacon. The acerola mimosa was really good and a new welcome twist on the traditional mimosa. The dirty chai was the best I've ever had, way better than Starbucks. The decor was super cute and Incorporated repurposed mugs and other kitchenware. The patio was full of plants and transported you to a tropical vibe.

Stopped by there for lunch today. Make a reservation or wait 20-30 mins for a table. The app, cheese fritters, were amazing! The shrimp tacos were good, but needed some salt, but still very good. The interior is well decorated.

DELICIOUS. The staff was so sweet-- I had two small children with me and they went out of their way to create a welcoming environment for them. Really great coffee and food.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Puerto Rico on our recent vacation. We were only in town here for a couple days and we ate here both days. The food is awesome! And they make a fantastic cup of decaf coffee with milk. I enjoyed the same meal both days: oatmeal and the monte cristo. And sampled the almond croissant which is made fresh on site. Wow! Every bite of my food was fantastic! And the service! Luis took such good care of us both days. He made us feel so at home. I feel like we made a new friend and it is an honor to say that. Thank you, Luis!! The ambiance here is very coffee-shop cute. Greenery and photos of the staff, cute coffee cup lights. Cheerful and relaxed. I wish them many years of success.

When you first walk up, you ring a bell to have the door opened and named placed on the list (we went around 10:30 on a Thursday, end of May) it was packed. Luckily, the wait wasn't long, and we were quickly seated and met our amazing server, Linda. We ordered the bottle of mimosas with passion fruit juice, which was delicious and refreshing. My fiance had the Cuban sandwich, and I had the Eggs Benedict both were delicious. Highly recommend!

It is a standalone restaurant, not a food truck! Very good breakfast spot in Luquillo! I loved the decorations and atmosphere. It was very clean, refreshing, and welcoming. The service was great. Everyone was so nice. And the food was very filling and delicious! I ordered the Chef's Combo with pancakes, bacon, and an omelette for $11. So good! I would definitely come back!

This place is great cute little place with options for inside and outside seating. Let's welcome. Staff is friendly and quick. Opens up early for breakfast and cafe. Plenty of choices for breakfast to include some Puerto Rican options and more of the Americanized options. Coffee is delicious, although they could use a few more options for syrups (coconut and maybe sugar free).

First thing is first the food is outstanding and the service is also great ambiance is great there's not much more I could say but this is definitely the best restaurant in Luquillo for breakfast and much cheaper than a $200 buffet at a hotel really recommend that's it amazing food pancakes are the best.

The presentation was fabulous, our waiter was very nice, and the food was solid! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The s'mores coffee was delicious but extremely sugary!

Great food and service. The s'more coffee hit the spot if you have a sweet tooth and are a coffee lover. If you're in this area of the island and looking for breakfast I would stop here. Calm neighborhood and great indoor/outdoor seating.

We liked the vibe, the friendly staff and the breakfast foods which was what we had. Closed on Wed, and very crowded on weekends.

We stayed at the condos a couple minutes away so we decided to give them a shot based on the good reviews. Our waitress gave us all the best suggestions on the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want some amazing Puerto Rican food.

My partner and I…read moretraveled from New York to Puerto Rico to visit his family for Thanksgiving week, and we decided to take his parents, siblings, and nephew out for a nice pre-Thanksgiving dinner. We saw Kalizo , thought it looked upscale and promising, and chose it for what was supposed to be a special family night. Instead, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was disrespectful and careless. We were a party of six, and the host simply pointed to a section and told us to "sit over there" -- no greeting, no walk-through. He dropped the menus on the table and walked away. We sat for over 20 minutes with no one approaching us for drinks or orders. We had to stop multiple staff members just to ask, "Can we please get a waiter?" Each time we were told someone was coming, but no one did. When the waiter finally showed up, he acted rushed, uninterested, and dismissive. He kept telling us that several items we wanted were "not available," rushing us to pick something else. I ended up ordering something quick because I honestly didn't know if he'd ever come back. Meanwhile, there were only about three other tables occupied, and we noticed something very uncomfortable: The English-speaking white customers were getting A1 treatment -- constant refills, servers checking in on them, drinks delivered correctly, food synchronized -- everything. Our table, where we were mostly speaking Spanish with my partner's family, was basically ignored. Our drinks came out wrong. Refills took three or more requests. Food came out one plate at a time, so half the table was done eating before the rest of us even received our meals. My plate was missing the sides and sauces it came with. I had to physically get up and find someone to ask for them. At one point, after asking three times for a Sprite refill, I just stood up and went straight to someone and said, "Can you please just bring me a Sprite can, a to-go box, and the check?" because I had enough. The food itself? Not good. Definitely not worth the price. And the service? Terrible. A woman who worked there quietly apologized to us and said she saw everything happening, but she couldn't intervene because she wasn't a server. That says enough about the environment. Overall, it felt like we were treated differently simply because they assumed we were locals or because we were speaking Spanish. Meanwhile, the tables of English-speaking tourists got excellent service. What was supposed to be a nice family dinner turned into a frustrating, embarrassing, and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place, especially if you're expecting fair service or celebrating something special.
