Absolutely delicious arepas, one of the best bites of food we had on our trip to PR! The service was very friendly as well.

HOLY SHIT THIS WAS ACTUALLY SOME OF THE BEST FOOD IVE EVER HAD. I got the steak and cheese arepa and tried the garlic shrimp arepa as well. Insane. Out of this world flavor. So juicy and delicious and fast. The hot sauce and onions are a must add as well. Such a delicious hot sauce.

Man oh Man oh Man! This right here is my swag ! This was the first place I ate at while I was visiting and I fell in love. They are only open certain days of the week so make sure you check the schedule. But everything here is delicious. The drinks are made to perfection, and the staff is super friendly. I had 3 tacos and I wish I had more! I can't wait to visit again!

9 years later and sadly this place just doesn't hit the same. It is of course completely different than it was when it first opened, but dang. I was soooo excited to go here and got there at opening time. They opened 45 min late. The place is now huge and has a completely different vibe. You have to "order yourself" which was frustrating when most of the stuff they offer wasn't even added to the menu yet. I ordered a shrimp and beef arepa and sadly it was not the same. Why it wasn't served as an arepa (when I ordered off of the arepa menu) but on a bread was so weird to me. I was so confused why it tasted so different and when I had an arepa elsewhere the light bulb went off. Seasoning wasn't there either. Was it because I was the first customer to rush in? Idk. The guy seemed annoyed when I walked in to order. They no longer had all of the sauces they had before too and idk if it's because they've expanded and have money now, but the service just wasn't the same. So sad I've literally been referring this place for years and I wouldn't go back anymore :(

It took me 3 tries to finally order at Wepa Arepa. The first time I came around 6:30 and they said they were closing. The next day at 5pm they were on a 40 minute break... finally today I got to try the arepa with meat and shrimps, as well as a churro. The food was really good but expensive. The arepa was $13.50 and a single churro was $5. It was really tasty though.

Delicious! I needed a little snack on my way into town and found this spot that I needed to try out! Definitely recommend. The place is right across the beach if you want to take some food and enjoy in front of the water . Service was great and place was clean .

And then there is this place. Added to my list of must have. Added to my list of frequent cravings cause this was ITTTT. Listen. The garlic shrimp, steak, cilantro, cheese--everything was portioned right, seasoned right and demolished. My very first time trying mofongo as I only thought there were pork options and I don't eat pork, so I was super happy to stumble on this. Impressed, wowed and a lifetime fan!!

this is probably the best food experience i had when i was in puerto rico/luquillo. precovid, march 2018 outdoor review like the previous yelper stated, the owner and service were so genuine and sweet and kind and patient!!! and i believe the food came out pretty quickly as well. i remember loving this with my companion. the tacos were flavorful and the SWEET SPICY SAUCE ON THE NACHOS HIT. LOL SHE WAS SPICY BUT ALL GOOD. LOLOL and the seafood arepa tasted super fresh with all their own sauce that just mixed super great flavor wise. forgot i also got the mango frappe, that was great too. WHAT CAN I SAY, it's an actual fresh mango smoothie. uh i'm not sure why it's red? but it tasted like all mango so. LOL i hope to come back in the future to beautiful luquillo and support this business :')

The food was amazing - everything was cooked fresh and to perfection. My kids were unsure about what to order, so the cook talked to them about what they liked and then checked back to see if they enjoyed it (they all did and haven't stopped talking about it for a week). The service was fast and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I got the shrimp arepa & it was absolutely amazing!

Delicious .... fresh.... kind owner.... efficient service. What more can I say?! After seeing the reviews we decided to stop here on the way home. One vegetarian, one seafood lover and they had something for us both. Fresh seafood, delicious authentic food, made with care and pride. In my opinion that is what made the difference. Can't wait to visit again!

Taco al pastor, tacos birrios, beef arepa

This was some of the best food we had in Puerto Rico. We ordered the tacos, al pastor and birria, and an arepa. Our favorite was hands down the birria tacos. Savory beef, melted cheese, fresh cilantro, the tortillas, with a little bit of crunch around the edges...so good. We will make it a point to come here on future trips.

On a Girl's trip And stumbled on this gem. This is a family owned business and the birria tacos and the carnitas were awesome. We met the matriarch Rachael and she is wonderful she cooks everything fresh in the restaurant and it's delicious.

We had arepas in Houston, TX and thought of trying here in PR. Ordered one with seafood $9, pork $6 and steak and cheese $8. Portion size is smaller than what we are used to. There's rice, cheese and the protein. We asked for no cilantro but still ended up with mucho. Wish the lady cashier can relate the message better to the chef. I am allergic to it so the chef had to make me one. Also had the pina colada drink where they put loads of whipped cream and sprinkles. Too sweet!

When we arrived, the main room was packed, and the few open tables were reserved. The host asked us if we'd be okay sitting in another room. I explained that we're visiting, and we wouldn't mind waiting for a table to open up where the live band section is. Upon hearing this, they were nice enough to accommodate us and make it happen. Special shoutout to our server! Unfortunately, I forget her name (it's been a month), but I remember she had this AMAZING makeup on, with lots of colorful beads in beautiful patterns across her face, as well as lovely hands with really fun nails and rings. She was so lovely and friendly, and she really made our night! If you see this, thank you :)

We had the fried red snapper and mofongo with shrimp, conch, and octopus. We had 2 beers and 3 bottled waters as well, and the entire tab was $46. It's a little mom and pop place that's in the very far back of the kiosks where people rarely go. It's a little dingy, and visitors include some flies and candy peddlers as well, which is the reason for the -.5 stars. However, the food was so well prepared that I'm giving it super high ratings. It's no La Parilla as far as fanciness goes. The menu is a little smaller and the atmosphere is definitely more hole-in-the-wall. The owner lady barely speaks any English, but I'm pretty sure all of the food was prepared by her, so extra kudos. I'd go here for a relaxing and relatively cheap night out with very very delicious food.
