When we arrived, the main room was packed, and the few open tables were reserved. The host asked us if we'd be okay sitting in another room. I explained that we're visiting, and we wouldn't mind waiting for a table to open up where the live band section is. Upon hearing this, they were nice enough to accommodate us and make it happen. Special shoutout to our server! Unfortunately, I forget her name (it's been a month), but I remember she had this AMAZING makeup on, with lots of colorful beads in beautiful patterns across her face, as well as lovely hands with really fun nails and rings. She was so lovely and friendly, and she really made our night! If you see this, thank you :)

We only got 3 items of food: Longaniza, Bacalaitos and Octupus salad with Pulpo. Longaniza was deep friend with chimichurri sauce (was not the deep color I was expecting) tasted like pork chop chunks, octopus salad my hubby ate said it need more olive oil and the pieces were not consistent and chunky; there were pieces that were too small-he said it didn't taste bad but a traditional octopus salad. The prices were way over: Maybe other meals are worth it but I probably would not visit again

Looks like a one woman operation - cooking ahead of time, and then running the counter. There is beer, soft drinks and mixed drinks to wash down the fare. Prices are reasonable $24 for 2 beers, arroz con mariscos, 2 pastelitos and one alcapurria. If you want cheap fried food, this place is probably as good as any of the others that have food under the heat lamp. If you want great tasting fried food made to order, but double the price, go elsewhere.

I'd actually give this place a 4.5, but I think it's closer to a 5 than a 4. We went for dinner…read morewhile on vacation in Puerto Rico, and it was absolutely delicious! We had the fried red snapper and mofongo with shrimp, conch, and octopus. We had 2 beers and 3 bottled waters as well, and the entire tab was $46. It's a little mom and pop place that's in the very far back of the kiosks where people rarely go. It's a little dingy, and visitors include some flies and candy peddlers as well, which is the reason for the -.5 stars. However, the food was so well prepared that I'm giving it super high ratings. It's no La Parilla as far as fanciness goes. The menu is a little smaller and the atmosphere is definitely more hole-in-the-wall. The owner lady barely speaks any English, but I'm pretty sure all of the food was prepared by her, so extra kudos. I'd go here for a relaxing and relatively cheap night out with very very delicious food.
