My all time fav is the spinach salad with grilled portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers and goat cheese. They have also made trays for events- cheese and fruit, tiered cheese torte with crackers. seem like very nice friendly people and I agree that the food was simple and fresh but I was generally unimpressed. The cobb salad was almost all greens with hardly any other ingredients. These were processed turkey, some tomatoes, and bleu cheese, and the bacon crumbles were limp. There was no texture, no contrast. A cobb salad should be a meal - this was not an $11 dollar salad. Add some avocado! The Cubano was an odd take - where was the roast pork? And the mustard was way too hot - Cuban food isn't hot spicy, just very flavorful. Go to Miami and try a real one. I ordered $22 worth of take out food and it was a small sandwich and a very light salad. Not a great value. Sorry - I really wanted to love this place as a west Medford resident. I might try it again - maybe I just ordered the wrong things. read more

This place is the best. The homemade chips are so great and crunchy. The Medford is a great edition of the classic chicken parm sandwich, but the chicken is so good. I'm used to chicken cutlets being kept warm over a boiler or something and hours old, but theirs are fresh and delicious. read more

I've been here three times. Definitely a step up from just a local pizza and sandwich place, though the meatball sub I got here was quality. Try the bourbon pecan chicken with mashed potatoes. This is a very warm, friendly place with delicious food. My toddler and I come for lunch a lot and my whole family loves to get delivery from them on a night we don't feel like cooking. This place is amazing. The food is a couple bucks more than the average sub shop but is well worth it, I spoil myself when I can. Everything is top quality, made fresh, with flair, from the in-house chips to the smoked meats, pickles, you name it they make it from scratch. Ample portions, well worth it. If you love *food* definitely give this place a try. They do a lot of catering but I've only ever grabbed lunch/dinner. My only complain is they don't turn up on Yelp or Google under "deli"! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! Drove from Acton to eat here before a show at the Arlington theatre. Only one small table and bar style seating in the Windows. But the FOOD!!!! Amazing!! Met the owners, the chef, the employees, all so friendly and eager for you to enjoy their cuisine. They said they are primarily a catering company that opened for take out and delivery. But what they are serving is handmade, from scratch, in house yummy to dupe for food!!! They need a real restaurant. We had the bourbon pecan chicken with a glaze out of this world and the homemade ravioli. My husband and I could not decide which dish was the best, and the portions are so large we are eating the leftovers for dinner tonight. You gotta try this place. What is cool about Simple Fare is that it is on the rare plane where subshop/diner/restaurant converge. As mentioned, the stuff is fresh and homemade, and this is probably the best thing about it. The menu is very diverse and they seem on top of all that stuff. The take out fridge where they have meals stored is great for a cheap dinner. read more

We used them to cater our Wedding and they did an outstanding job! Leading up to the wedding it was great working with Karyn. She responded quickly to both my phone calls and emails and helped make a stressful wedding a bit less stressful. The day of the wedding, I could not count the number of people who went up for seconds at the buffet, and multiple guests commented about how great the food was. The great thing was that as amazing as Karyn was, her staff was also incredible! Karyn provided us with bartenders and waitstaff who were fantastic. I had the sandwich special last week. It was a panini of grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella and house made dried tomato pesto, to say it was delicious is an understatement. The people there were great. They said they make their own bacon, corned beef, pulled pork, as well as dressings and condiments like the pesto. They cook the potato chips right there in the store. Someone got fries and they were cooked to order!! It looks like a sandwich shop, but they have a good size dinner menu also. I am going to have to try the bourbon pecan chicken, they said that is one of many dinner favorites along with the short ribs. There are a few tables and a counter where you can sit. This will definitely not be my last time, the aroma of the food is enough to make you hungry. read more

Absolutely delicious! I have had the Turkey Bacon Cheddar Panini with homemade chips and also the Gnocchi Rustica featuring their homemade sausage. The panini had just the right amount of all 3 ingredients and the turkey has been roasted at the restaurant. The homemade chips are amazing! The Gnocchi dish was extremely delicious and such a treat.
