Having previously used Augusta Lawn Care, I decided to call them again when I needed a yard…read moreclean-up at my property in Bellingham. I was very impressed with how quickly they responded. They replied to my inquiry the same day, provided a quote the following day, and began work on the third day. This prompt communication and scheduling at the beginning of the work was greatly appreciated. On the day of the service, a young man arrived and let us know he was getting started. He was friendly, professional, and patient with both my husband and me as we asked several questions throughout the morning. We appreciated his positive attitude and willingness to explain what he was doing. Here's my assessment of the work completed: Trim Front Hedge and Back Hedge - Excellent. Both hedges look great. Use Ladder to Shape Big Bush in Front and Pull It Away from the House - I had hoped it would be trimmed a little shorter, but the crew member explained his concern that cutting it back too aggressively could affect the plant's health. We agreed on a compromise, and it looks very nice. Remove Weeds in Beds Around House and Under the Deck - Partially completed. Two sides of the house were cleaned up beautifully. However, one side of the house and the area under the back deck still have weeds, and it appears those sections were missed. Remove Blackberries in Back Corner - This was a difficult job, and the blackberry patch was successfully removed. However, it appears our chicken-wire compost bins may have been accidentally hauled away with the blackberry debris, as they are now missing. They may have become tangled in the brambles during removal. Trim Bushes Off House - Completed on three sides of the house. One side was not trimmed. Make Defined Edges of Beds - Excellent on the three sides where the work was completed. The edging looks crisp and professional. One side was not completed. Rake Up Debris - Very good overall. Most debris was removed, with only a few scattered leaves and small sprigs remaining. Blow Off As Needed - Walkways and work areas were cleaned up well. Haul Debris to the Dump - It's all gone and we greatly appreciated having all of the yard waste removed. Overall, the partial work that was completed was done with care and a high level of quality, and the crew member was courteous and professional throughout the job. My only recommendation would be to do a final walkthrough to ensure every item on the work order has been finished to your satisfaction before the crew leaves the property. My message to have the unfinished work completed went unanswered and unaddressed for several days, but eventually someone did arrive and finished the hedge trimming and weed removal.

I had used this company in the past for seasonal cleanups which were done to my requests,…read moreespecially for a landscaped front yard without any lawn. I tried three months ofa once monthly service( deadhead blossoms, trim hedges, remove weeds, especially horsetail. I asked that upon arrival the worker(s) would ring the doorbell to check in either us ( both are retired ) this did not happen, and when I was automatically billed via credit card, I phoned to cancel the service paying $260 for perhaps 20 minutes of working in my budget. I'm not even sure any work was done, although the very nice office representative phoned assured me that workers always take photos. I need help since I'm older, but i probably do more gardening in my backyard on a daily basis than the workers do once a month for sprucing up the front yard. This cancellation resulted from a complete lack of communlcation

So, after working with him for over a year, I think a review update is in order. Everything I said in my original review is still true. I am not going to repeat them here; please see the original review. What has become more and more clearly after interacting with him for over a year is that ZAC TAKES CARE OF MY YARD AS IF IT'S HIS OWN! He does a lot of extra things and he doesn't even charge me for them. Yesterday, I came home and found Zac on all fours on my front yard weeding! For one thing, it was a 80 degree day. Also, he is NOT even expected to put out the weeds. I learned that he had been doing that without telling me because my house is on a corner lot and is very visible to people who walk by. So, Zac is not only knowledge and good at what he does but also very passionate about what he does. I could not possibly ask for more from him. Highly highly recommended! ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my future reviews.
